Chapter 0056:You Won’t Be Seeing Xavier Anymore!

“I’m sorry but Anne isn’t in sound health, how about we schedule

 another photo shoot for her when she's…hello.” Mr. Black, her agency’s president, said over the phone while Anne looked at him saying nothing as her schedule for the day went downhill.

She was here in the hospital because right after Xavier left her, after breaking up with her. She went straight into drugs and overdosed on it. Had it not been for her assistant, Mia who walked in to find her unconscious in her bedroom. Nobody would have known what would happen to her.

But one thing was clear, it was all because of Xavier and right now, Mr. Black is controlling himself from being at it with Xavier’s agency, they were breaching a contract but it was very obvious to Anne that Xavier doesn’t care about any of it.

He was down to pay for any damages but she doesn’t want to believe that it’s true, rather she was hopeful that he will come around, and come see her once he hears that she’s in the hospital.

“Thanks Mr.Banks. I will get back to you after everything has gone down.” Mr. Black said, glaring at Anne who didn’t seem scared or moved with pity that she was ruining business for him by what she just did.

The internet was going frenzy about her, she has always loved attention to herself which he didn’t mind. But this wasn’t the kind of attention he wanted towards her. What made him more angry at her was the fact, that she did all this because of a man that doesn’t even care if she’s alive or not.

If he cared, he would be here making amends of pushing her to commit suicide. That was the information that was being withheld from the public, all they knew was that she’s admitted to the hospital and it’s all thanks to her assistant, who couldn’t use her head correctly by calling an ambulance instead of her personal doctor to come check on her at home.

“Have you seen what you have done?” Mr. Black asked from where he stood by the window side, towards a nonchalant Maryanne who was busy eating chips.

The hospital was surrounded by her fans who were demanding to know what’s up with her, the security in the hospital was trying their best to curb the large crowd that was threatening to breach the entrance.

“Maybe if you had died, I won’t be stuck here making stupid calls as to why you are in here!” He snapped at her, not caring about who she was because she was a nobody who he turned into somebody.

But everyone knows that it’s a lie, Maryanne came from wealth. It’s still surprising how her parents didn’t make any fuss about her choosing this career, when she could take over the family business.

But that doesn’t mean that she could spoil business for him just because of who she is, he made her who is today and he could take everything back and bring her down to nothing.

“Don’t you have anything to say at all?” He demanded, not taking her silence because that’s more irritating. It was making him seem like a fool.

“What does a sick person has to say?” She replied, looking at him while taking her eyes away from the television that was on. She was watching a tv show about relationships, maybe it could help change her perspective about what relationships really meant because she desperately needs it.

He scoffed at her words, how brazen she is to think that he cared about her trying to kill herself.

“It’s all my fault for listening to you begging me to hook you up with Xavier, that ingrate doesn’t know who he just messed with.” He said, really pissed up before coming closer to Maryanne who was trying to understand what he was trying to say.

“I don’t want to see you with him anymore.” He said, no, it was more of an order. One that she didn’t waste any time to break.

“No! That’s not happening, we love each other.” She insisted.

Mr. Black sucked in a breath, as he tried to hold in his temper because she was really asking for it. She must be stupid if she thinks that he cared about her love life or who she loves. What’s more important is giving the public what they wanted to see, everyone had idealed the both of them, Anne and Xavier as the perfect couple.

But just like they said, everything that has a beginning has an end and if it means for him to force his hands to do that, he will. Anne needs to grow up.

“The very same man you loved is the reason why you are here, you should be grateful that Mia was in time to save your pathetic ass. I mean it, Anne. You won’t be seeing Xavier anymore, as he still has to pay the fee for breaching our contract. If you think as much as to go against my order, then you leave the agency and go back to your stupid boyfriend. But if you are still the same Anne that i made into a superstar, you will heed my advice and stay away from him.” He said with finality, watching as she burst out into tears.

“Why are you doing this to me? I have done everything you ask of me so far, why can’t you let me have what i want?” She cried.

Mr. Black sighed before coming closer to tilt her head up to look at him. “ I only want what’s best for you, Maryanne. As much as you think this is a punishment, you will later thank me in the future for separating the both of you. Now take some rest, while i go fix our problems.”

He said wiping her tears, before helping her lie down then covered her with the quilt, her cries not stopping but he wasn’t planning on changing his mind.

He pecked her temple before leaving the hospital ward, then looked at the two guards stationed outside her door. “Don’t let her out.”

He ordered before leaving, knowing who Maryanne is, she will try to push him to do something that he won’t like, but it’s for her sake that she listens to him this time.
