Chapter 77

Tobias’ POV

“Nice touch; Toby” Jessica says to me. “Have you been taking Lace, Jessica?” “Eden; can you come here; Honey?” Tim calls out; as she comes into the room; Tim shuts his door to his living area.

“Jems is leaving the safehouse and is going to the Maple Clan” he grins. “Why?” Olivia asks. “We are in fear of his and Pedro’s safety; therefore, he is going there” Jessica tells us. “You aren’t giving us all the information. Stop fucking around and tell us what is going on” I fume at them.

“Toby, Liv; we can’t trust anyone. Pedro has already innocently given us more information than he is probably supposed to. We can’t ask Jeremy to stay away from Pedro; he snuck out last night to spend time with him. If either of them gets caught; it could mean they get hurt” Alex informs me.

I look at all three of them and contemplate what Alex and Jessica just said to me; a smirk comes across my face. Olivia looks at me; “What?” *“They have asked Jeremy and Pedro to go undercover”* I mind link her. A smile shines across her face. “That is why we are good at being joint Alphas. We know what each other is thinking; with only a few key words” Alex laughed.

“We better get down to the leader’s meeting and tell them. Jeremy has decided to change allegiances; his mate bond was too strong” Eden smiles at us.

The six of us walk into the leader’s meeting; with frowns on our face. “Would you gentleman care to explain what just happened” Dad asked us. “Jeremy was right; I would take Tim’s side on this” I say to them. “Tim?” Renee asks.

“Jeremy snuck out and saw Pedro last night. I told him I wasn’t happy with him doing that. He is putting himself and the rest of us at risk. His idea was entirely different” Tim tells us.

Dad gives us a sceptical look; “I agree with Tim; he is one of our best enforcers. He knows our strategies and we don’t know if Pedro can be completely trusted. If he accidently gives Pedro any information; it can be our undoing” he says *“I hope you three know what you are doing sending him undercover”* he mind links Alex and me. *“We should; we put your number on his burner phones”* Alex links back.

Dad is good; I hope no one else picks up on it; like he did.

“Wouldn’t he give them away, if he goes to the Maple Clan?” Greg says. “Most likely; It was fun while it lasted. I am now fully resurrected, everyone” Alex laughs.

“Will he tell them we are here?” Alpha Silias asks. “Probably; we can’t be sure where his head is at. He may tell them everything, he may not. He is a good enforcer and I am sorry to lose him. We can only control our situation. This has been a drawback; but we will rise again, like Alex did” I chuckle.

“Everyone here knows how strong a mate bond can be. Jeremy’s is no different; it was just too strong. I hope he still has the loyalty to us; to not give any information out. For the safety of him and Pedro, he may do. I am disappointed; but at the same time, I understand it. Toby knew when he was 15, he couldn’t hurt me. He didn’t know why; he just knew. We should all be happy for Jems and Pedro and we will work out what we need to do to move on from this” Olivia tells us.

“I think we can still use the tunnel to get in. It’s the least fortified area. Yes, they have cameras. We will just need to work a way around them” Master Leo says. “We will also need to know, where they are holding the ladies. We no longer have Pedro on our side; we will need to find that information out some other way” Dad includes.

“Seth; what would your brother think about Jeremy” Greg asks. I look at Greg; I thought we moved on with this line of questioning. “He doesn’t take kindly to outsiders coming in. If Jeremy gives him information he can use; he may allow it. He is also big on growing his empire. Like they have said; he is a tremendous fighter. We all witnessed it at the tournament Toby and Alex held to find their enforcers. He is one of the best, of our best. Carter will not want to get rid of such a skilled fighter in a hurry” he answers.

Alex, Tim and myself look at Seth; he smiles at us. Who doesn’t know what we did?

“Greg; I know how you may be worried Carter will get this information. Jeremy has made his choice and we all need to respect that choice. He wants to be with Pedro and is willing to leave here and fight alongside Carter. We will find another way” Samantha says looking at us.

*“Were we not discreet enough about what was going on?"* I link Alex.* “No; we were. Like you; it only took a few key words for the other leaders in our community to know what was happening. As you can see; Alpha Silias, Leader Hendrix, Greg and Steven don’t know what is going on. That is why they are still asking about it. The other leaders are making sure Jeremy and Pedro will be ok; we will find out who is still leaking information to them.”*

I look around the room; Alex and myself have had subtle conversations between all the community leaders. We have all been concerned Sharon wasn’t the only one leaking information.

Now it’s time to see who is with us and who is actually against us. “I think we need to move on. I have an idea that may be of interest. Pedro said there were few other guards willing to help; what if we can find out who they are?” Everyone looks at me. “If we can find out who they are; we will have an insider again” I tell them. Dad smiles at me; “I wonder if Zuri is willing to help again?” he says.

“I’ll ask her” Samantha says catching on.

“Why won’t Pedro help us? Just because Jeremy has left; he could still help” Leader Hendrix asked. I look towards Alex and Dad. “Pedro had one request to helping us. When the fighting was over; to come with us to be with Jeremy. Since Jeremy went to be with him at the Maple Clan; there is no longer a need for him to help us.” Master Liz said.

“When I confronted him for sneaking out last night; I gave him and ultimatum. I told him he had to choose; Pedro or us. I was trying to protect all of us and I should have consulted everyone first before doing so. It’s not the finest decision, I have made. Saying that; I can’t go back now; he made his choice” Tim says frowning.

I look around the room; I still can’t pick who is friend and who is foe. Let’s hope Jeremy and Pedro can do what we need them to do. Tell us where our mothers are and tell us who is leaking information to Carter.
