Chapter 49 — Missing a Piece of Him

“Master Ace, the city of Alcalac and Caprus are fighting, and the peace of the entire realm has been affected,” one of his servants reported. They were in the secret underground meeting hall of Cabrine City, a place where vampires ruled.

With him were his friends Spade, Jack, Diamond, King, Joker, and Hearts.

Hearing such information, Ace cleared his throat, and the sharpness of his eyes could not be ignored. He was pissed off, not just because Caprus started a war, but it also ruined his date! He didn’t know why but he had a feeling that something terrible was going to happen.

“Dye, can you ask your father, King Dominic to use the strength of Zrobic City?” he said while looking at Dye's cold eyes. “We all know that he’s an alpha in their land, and their city has always been considered the most powerful of all,” he added.

Diamond shrugged his shoulders. He stood up and his manly physique towered over the others. Dye was the most different. He had the blood of a vampire mixed with the blood of an alpha.

“If it’s for peace and equality, my father won’t say no. So, expect him to take action as soon as you ask him,” he stated with no emotion.

All of them actually had their own advantages and disadvantages. Dye possessed the strength of a vampire and a werewolf, but with limitations. He was the coldest person of all seven of them.

“I want the whole city to unite as one, and respect all the kings of their kingdoms,” he stated before looking each of them. The city of Cabrine and Zrobic were the most respected among them all. Cabrine had seven kings, and Zrobic had King Dominic, the most powerful one.

As for the kidnapping that happened, he already asked two of Spade’s loyal butlers to find Cassandra. He never cared for her, but he had promised the former queen, which was Queen Claire, to protect her half-sister. Yes, Cassandra was Claire's half-sister. They loved each other a lot, and he loved Claire so much, but he still didn’t choose to save her when she was abused right in front of his eyes.

Maybe because he didn’t have the power to disobey the blessed moon. It was part of the prophecy and ruining it might ruin the future of the realm. Although it happened many years ago, he still couldn’t erase the innocent look of his first queen when she died in his arms.

“Young master Ace!” He snapped back to reality. He saw Crim, one of his loyal butlers holding a phone while looking at him with fear in his eyes. Without a single word, he extended his hand and put the phone to his ear.

Everyone went silent, holding their breath when they felt Ace's demeanor turn deadly. Using their powers, they all listened in on what the person on the other end was saying. The coldness in Ace’s eyes terrified them. It was as if they were witnessing Ace kneeling over the dead body of the first woman he loved all over again. He hung up the phone and turned to them.

“I’ll leave first. I may not be able to help you with this. Make sure to settle the problems right away.” The deepness in his voice resonated throughout the room. They were not afraid. They were worried that Ace might do something stupid and rash.

It had already been one week since the accident happened, but Ace refused to give up. He hired as many people as he could to help, but they did not find Thea's body. Not even the puppy. He searched everywhere—in the ocean, the surrounding islands—but he never found anything. Sleepless and cold, each day that passed changed his demeanor and that affected everyone around him.

“Young master Ace, it’s no use anymore. We were able to find pieces of the yacht, but not her body. It seems that we must accept that—”

Before the man could finish his words, Ace grabbed a gun from his desk and pulled the trigger five times.

“No body, no conclusion. Got it?!” His loud roar made everyone tremble. Red, who stood to the right of Ace didn’t react because he knew what Ace was like when he was angry. Though Red thought the same thing as the man lying on the floor with blood all over him, he would never tell his master that. He cherished his life too much.

“Get out of my house and do your work properly!” Everyone left, including Red. Ace sat down on his bed and held a ring in his hand. He then clenched his fist tight while remembering what he said on the island. It was supposed to be the most memorable day of their lives, but everything was ruined!

“If I can’t have you—” His dark eyes flickered as he stretched his lips weirdly, “then no one will…”
