Chapter 50 — The New Beginning

Three years after Thea’s disappearance, Ace’s entire personality changed, which affected his approach to everyone, and the entire realm suffered. His cold heart grew colder. His eyes became sharper, but his face was still as handsome as ever.

He became more ruthless than ever as the most dangerous parts of him evolved. His company remained number one, but he never felt the happiness again, an emotion that humans begged for.

“President, your friend Heart is waiting for you outside the office. He said that there’s something he needs to talk to you about.” Ace immediately stood up and walked towards his private elevator when the secretary finished.

They never announced why Thea stopped working. Not even Kendra and Tristan knew. They thought that she went abroad after graduation and decided to study fashion.

He rarely spoke anymore, and his expression was always deadly. It had already been three years, but Ace still wouldn’t give up. He has an instinct and connection to her, and he felt that something wasn’t right.

“Excuse me, sir, do you know which floor the department of finance is located on?”

He looked up to see the woman who dared to speak to him. His body felt cold all of a sudden.

He observed every part of her from her hair down to her toes. Everything was familiar and his heart warmed for the first time in three years. When he stared into her eyes, thousands of memories started to light up. Her thin lips and innocent look…these features once captured his heart.

“My Thea, you’re back.”
