Chapter 74 The Fight 2 : Perfect Victory

Chapter 74 The Fight 2 : Perfect Victory
Marcus Pov
The corner of my lips lifted slightly, but I didn’t answer him. I simply looked at him.
The battlefield around us was still filled with gunfire and screams, yet in my eyes only Henry remained.
Suddenly, he frowned, gritted his teeth, and glared at me.
I knew he could see the disdain in my eyes because the longer I looked at him, the uglier his expression became.
To him, it probably looked as though I wasn’t looking at a person but at empty air.
Just then, I heard the sound of a crack. My eyes trailed down indifferently only to see his fingers clenched so hard that his knuckles cracked.
His crimson energy burst out even higher.
“What’s with that look?!” he roared, his voice echoing across the estate. “Marcus, don’t think I’m scared of you! This is my territory!”
He spread both arms and pointed everywhere as if showing me everything around us.
“I can call more men if I want! Look around you. You only brought 20 men, and some of them are already injured, so there is no way you can win, Marcus!” He breathed heavily, and his eyes became even redder.
He growled, “So, do you still want to go against me… or are you giving Dr. Reese back?!”
My brows furrowed after he finished speaking.
This man… he really talks too much, and it’s so annoying.
Does he still want to fight, or did he just enjoy listening to himself? But I seriously didn’t have that much time.
The smell of blood hanging in the air was becoming thicker, and every second it lingered, the beast wreaking havoc inside me became harder to suppress.
No. I needed to finish this fast.
The SSS+ energy inside me slammed against its cage again. It wanted blood. It wanted me to stop holding back. My fingers twitched once before I slowly relaxed them.
My eyes flashed with coldness. I slowly lifted one hand, then crooked a finger toward him.
“Come here.”
For a moment, the battlefield seemed to pause. Even the soldiers nearby stared at me, but I didn’t bother with them as I stared indifferently at Henry.
Moments passed, and the temperature around me kept dropping. Impatience flashed in my eyes as I looked at the frozen Henry.
He stood there, his mouth slightly open and his eyes wide as he stared at me with disbelief.
He didn’t move, didn’t speak, and simply stood there. Several seconds later, realization slowly appeared on his face.
His entire face twisted, veins bulged on his forehead, and his breathing became even more ragged.
“You—” his body trembled. “You dare humiliate me?!” he roared, and following that, his crimson energy aura exploded violently.
“Seems you don’t know what’s good for you.” He took one step forward, then spat, “Then don’t blame me—”
I didn’t let him finish his words. Before anyone could react, I disappeared.
Gasps sounded from every direction. To most of the soldiers watching, I had simply vanished.
The ground beneath my feet cracked.
Henry’s eyes quivered, but he reacted immediately and turned to meet my fist.
Bang!
Our fists collided, and the impact exploded like thunder. The shockwave swept across the battlefield, and even the nearby soldiers were forced backward.
Without wasting another second, Henry jumped back. He reacted much faster than I expected, and instead of retreating, he twisted his body and drove his knee toward my ribs.
My eyes turned cold as I raised my arm to block it.
Boom!
His crimson energy crashed against mine, and the collision sent both of us backward, but I landed smoothly while Henry slid several meters before stopping.
But the force still pushed into my arm, making my sleeve tear apart. A faint sting spread through my muscles.
My eyes flickered with interest as I looked at him.
Interesting.
No wonder he became a major. He wasn’t weak in any way.
The next second, he attacked again. His movements were clean and fast. Every punch carried years of war experience.
His punch tore through the air. I tilted my head and let his fist brush past my hair. Without waiting, he spun around again and attacked with his leg.
Without hesitation, I raised an arm and blocked the kick coming toward my neck.
I raised an eyebrow as excitement flashed through my eyes.
Not bad. Very few people could make me block twice.
The corner of my lips slowly lifted. It had been a long time since someone had pushed me this far.
But it’s time to get serious. I needed to end this fast before things got out of hand.
With this, I calmly met every one of his punches with mine, and our movements became faster and faster.
Visible energies exploded around us without stopping. The sky above the estate flared with different colors, and nearby soldiers quickly backed away.
None of them dared get close. The pressure alone made breathing difficult.
Just as the fight was getting intense, Henry suddenly let out a roar. His crimson energy gathered into one arm, and with all his strength… he punched straight toward my chest.
“Ahh!!”
I didn’t dodge his attack. Instead, my eyes shone with excitement as I punched forward too and met his fist.
Boom!
The loud collision echoed across the estate. Several nearby soldiers were blown off their feet.
Henry’s face suddenly changed, his eyes went pale, and a faint sound came from his arm.
For the first time since the fight began, panic flashed across his face. He already knew what was coming.
The excitement bubbling inside my eyes turned into ice-cold ruthlessness. I didn’t wait for him to react. I flicked my hand and sent my aura energy straight at him.
It tore through his body like a blade and the crimson aura around him split apart as if it had been cut in half.
“Urghh!” He let out a painful groan as blood sprayed into the air.
I coldly watched as his entire body flew backward before crashing heavily onto the ground.
Bang!
Dust rose everywhere, and for a moment, silence settled across the ground.
Just then, Henry slowly pushed himself up. His breathing had become uneven, and blood dripped from one arm.
The sleeve of his uniform had already torn apart, and from there, I could see the long, deep wound that stretched from his shoulder to his elbow.
All this while, I watched him quietly. No expression could be seen on my face. No excitement, no pride, just chilling coldness.
Henry slowly looked up, and our eyes met. But for the first time, I saw real fear in those eyes. Though he tried to hide it, I could see it clearly.
He gritted his teeth and forced himself to glare at me.
I didn’t react. I just slowly began to walk toward him.
One step… then another…
Each footstep echoed softly, and the more I got closer to him, the faster his breathing became.
Henry instinctively moved backward. His lips trembled as he watched me cautiously.
“Y-You—” his voice cracked. “Have… have you forgotten who I am, Marcus Stone?!”
I stopped walking. My eyebrow slowly lifted as I looked at him.
Henry, who saw that I stopped, perked up. His eyes flashed with hope, and he hurriedly shouted.
“You can’t touch me! Remember, I’m the major, and by touching me, not only would you offend the country, but… also my Hart family!”
He pointed at himself, his face pale but desperate. “My identity alone is enough to crush you!”
His voice was loud, but his shaking body completely betrayed him.
The air grew stiffer, and it seemed to hold its breath.
I let his words simmer down before I tilted my head slightly. My eyes flashed with amusement.
“Oh…”
I quietly muttered, then a low chuckle escaped my lips.
It wasn’t loud, yet everyone who heard it felt a chill run through their bodies.
I looked straight at Henry, then spat, “So?” My voice remained calm. “I, Marcus Stone… have always done whatever I wanted.”
I took another step closer. The pressure around me became even more intense as it slowly pressed down on him, making him fold and tremble.
I looked at him with disdain. “Who the hell dares to question me?!”
I let out a cold snort, my voice filled with disdain, and my aura carried arrogance from deep within my bones.
“The government? Let them come if they dare.”
The air stiffened.
Silence fell across the battlefield. Even the injured soldiers looked at me with wide eyes. Nobody dared believe someone could say those words so calmly. But was I just anyone? Hmph!
Henry, who clutched his bleeding arm, widened his eyes. His lips trembled as he shook his head.
“N-No… that’s impossible…” his voice cracked. “How could anyone not fear the government? No… no. How could…”
His words became quieter and quieter, and around us, the battlefield slowly became silent.
One after the other, the soldiers lowered their weapons. They didn’t dare shoot or move as they could only stare at their major, who knelt on the ground before me, defeated.
Just then, I moved closer to him, bent down, and grabbed his collar. His body shook, but I didn’t drop him. Without any effort, I lifted him from the ground.
Our eyes met.
“The next time…” I murmured, my voice low and dangerous, “…this happens again, I won’t spare you for your old father’s sake.”
I leaned closer until my bloodshot eyes stared into his wide ones.
“So remember well. The next time it happens… I’ll cut off your throat.”
Henry’s pupils shrank. Fear finally filled his whole eyes. He looked at me like he was looking at a devil about to steal souls.
But I didn’t bother with him anymore. I released him, and without bothering about his body hitting the ground heavily, I turned around. My cold voice echoed across my men.
“Let’s go.”
Immediately my voice dropped, Nexus and the others withdrew. Some supported the injured, and others covered their retreat, but none of Henry’s soldiers moved.
They simply watched, shock still on their faces as they watched us walk toward my private jet.
A few seconds later, the engines of the jet roared to life. The sound echoed through the estate.
From where I stood, I looked out of the window once, my gaze indifferent as I saw Henry still standing where I had left him.
His uniform was covered in blood, and one hand held his injured arm. His eyes never left the aircraft. They burned with unwillingness and hatred.
My lips curled indifferently as I took my eyes away, then turned to the man wearing a white medical uniform.
My face turned serious immediately.
“How is he?” I asked.
The doctor looked at me. Hesitation flashed in his eyes, then he glanced toward the private room where James was receiving treatment.
He sighed. “Master, things are not going well. Dr. Reese isn’t responding to treatment.”

(Tbh, I don't know if I wrote the action scenes well, but I really hope I did. 😂 expect more chapters please.)
