Chapter 39

Johana Morin POV

Days have passed but what happened last training is still an issue in the team. They were all really surprised that Bea was the one who took care of me when I passed out because they know that both of us aren't okay... that we really have decided to move on from each other.

"You sure it was nothing to you, Johana? You didn't feel anything at all?" Ella, our senior in the team keep on asking me that question.

"Why would Johana feel anything? Aren't you aware that she has already moved on?" Said Jia trying to help me conceal the truth. I'm glad she's here.

"You know what Jianna, you should not easily believe in words. You should always look in the eyes. Can't you see how Bea and Jo look at each other's eyes? It's full of love! My goodness!"

What? Are we really that obvious?

I saw Jia rolled her eyes. "Johana said it already that it was nothing to her. Why don't you believe her?"

"Wait a minute..." Said Ella as she finds something weird. "I wasn't talking to you Jia but you keep on butting in. I'm talking to Johana, okay?" I tried not to laugh at Ella. I saw Jianna pouted.

"Ella, I swear. It's nothing. I didn't feel any sparks at all." I said.

"But the way you look at each other says something."

"There's nothing different when we look at each other. Maybe you guys just haven't moved on yet so you still think there's still something, you still add malice in everything we do." I said. Of course I don't mean that, I was just denying it to Ella. Not that I don't trust her, but I promised Bea that Jianna will be the last one to know about us.

And it is really all in the eyes when someone's in love.

"Whatever! I give up! But I still don't believe you Johana. I know you so well." Said Ella and left us here. Jianna and I started laughing.

"We won this time!" Said Jia and wiggled her eyebrows.

We're still here inside the gym since our training has just ended.

"Wait, is that Marci?" Jia asked and I looked at the entrance of the gym and it was really him.

"What is he doing here?" I whispered to myself since Bea is also here in the gym and she really hates seeing Marci even if I told her a million times that Marci is just a friend to me.

"Jia, go talk to him. I don't want Bea to see me talking to Marci." I whispered to Jia but she immediately said no.

"No way, Jo! I don't even know that guy so why would I let myself talk to him?"

I just rolled my eyes. "Bea might be jealous."

"So? Is that even my problem?" She asked me. I stared at her and she surrendered. "Alright! Okay! I'll talk to him but you owe me some huh!"

I nodded and smiled at her. "You're really great!"

She just rolled her eyes on me and went to the gym entrance and talked to Marci. I looked at Bea and she's busy fixing her stuff. Our teammates already left except from Bea, Trey, and Pauline because they are still waiting for Madeline who's currently inside the shower room.

Jia came back to me. "What did he say?" I asked her.

"Marci invited you to eat lunch with him because he wants to catch up with your life. That's it." Said Jianna.

"And what did you say?" I asked.

"I said yes. We're going. I'll go with you bestie." She said and winked at me.

"What?!" I asked.

"What? Why? It's free food! He said it's his treat." Jia said innocently.

"Okay whatever. I'll just explain everything to Bea." I said and she just nodded.

I texted Bea.

Marci invited me and Jia to eat lunch with him. I couldn't say no. It's fine with you right?

I looked at Bea while they're walking out of the gym. I saw her looked on her phone but she instantly put it back in her pocket. What? Isn't she gonna reply to me? She will really just ignore my message? Is she jealous?

It's lunch time and I'm now with Marci. We're just waiting for Jia here in the cafeteria. Bea is still ignoring my messages. She replied once but it was just an 'okay'. I don't know what does that 'okay' mean but I'm pretty sure that I really have to make it up to her as soon as possible.

"So, what happened to you, Jo? Seems like you're too busy now." Marci said.

"Not really, Marci. It's just that, I always use my free time to rest because our training routines have changed and it was pretty exhausting."

He nodded. "I see. That's why I heard you fainted last time and Beatriz was the one who took care of you." He said in a meaningful way.

I kept my cool. "Yup, she took care of me." I said even though I didn't know that the news circulated in the campus.

"So what happened right after? Did you talk?" He asked.

"Marci, I'm sorry but I really don't want to talk about Bea right now." I said.

He just nodded. "Well, you're right. We should not talk about it. Anyway, is Jianna still coming?"

Speaking of Jianna, she instantly appeared. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, Jo!" She said and sat beside me.

"Hey! I waited too." Marci said.

"I don't care." Jianna said and rolled her eyes on Marci. What now? Are they gonna fight here?

"I don't even know why you're here, Jia." Said Marci.

I heard Jia laughed. "Because I invited myself, you fool! And you said you'll treat my best friend, so that means, you should treat me too."

"What? Why? Are you Johana's personal assistant?" Marci joked.

"No, but I'm her best friend."

"It's really nonsense to talk to you." Marci said.

I just stared at them. They just met awhile ago and now they're fighting like they have known each other for so long? What's with these two?

"Can both of you shut up and just order our food?" I asked patiently.

"Oops. Sorry bestie. This guy was just so annoying." Said Jia.

"Really? Oh come on Ji---"

"Please stop. Both of you are so loud." I said and rolled my eyes.

"I'm sorry." said Marci. "I'll just order our food."

"Go with him, Jia." I said. And since they sensed that I was not really in the right mood, they just nodded and went to the counter to order our lunch.

But just when I was about to text Bea again, I saw her and Madeline eating near the entrance of the cafeteria.

My eyes widened when I caught Bea staring at me. Oh gosh! How long were they here?

Did Bea see me hug Marci awhile ago when we met here?

Was that the reason why she's still ignoring my messages? Oh no! My girl must have been so jealous right now! What do I do?

I saw Bea and Madeline left their table and went out of the cafeteria. I feel like chasing Bea but that would be suspicious for Madeline and other people here.

So I just let it pass, I will surely talk to her later after this lunch date.

When Jia and Marci came back, we instantly ate our food. I was so hungry and I did not notice it because my mind was so busy thinking of Bea.

"Do you guys want to go to the bar later at 6PM? My friend and his band will have a gig later. He told me to invite some friends to watch with me." Marci asked.

"Oh! I would love that!" Jianna said. "Are there free foods?"

"I don't know but I can treat you guys again since I'm the one who invited you." Marci said.

Jianna immediately held my arm. "Jo, let's go there please? Please? I would love to go there."

I just stared at her. "I can't. I just want to rest later. Besides, you can go alone."

"No way! I want you to be with me there and I don't want to be alone with Marci! Hello!" She said.

"As if I want to be alone with you too. Dream high, Jia." Said Marci.

Oh gosh. "Will you two stop? I'll think about it."

"Yay! I will convince you to come, Jo!" Said Jia while hugging me.

I don't know anymore. I feel so stressed being with these two. It's like having children that I do not really own. Ahh!

I'm now inside the dormitory with Bea because I knew she's here since I have her schedule on my phone. She still has not texted me and I think this is the right time to talk to her besides, Madeline is still in her class.

"Bei, please... talk to me." I said while poking her cheek. She's resting on her bed while scrolling on her phone.

She's obviously ignoring me. I really cannot handle her jealousy that's why I always avoid making her jealous but this time I wasn't able to do it.

"Baby, please stop ignoring me. I'm sorry if I didn't tell you about it okay? I'm sorry if I did not ask for your permission first before being with him. But you really don't have to be jealous because Jianna's also there plus Marci is really just a friend to me. I swear, baby." I said to her.

She looked at me. "But why did you have to hug him?"

I looked at her. "Seriously, Bea? It was just a friendly hug. You can do it with your friends too!"

She sat on her bed and looked at me.

"Whatever. You don't really understand me, Jo. You're friends with your ex? What if he's just pretending to be your friend but what he really wants is to be with you again?"

"Bea? Seriously? Don't you trust me and my instincts?"

"Yeah right. I'll just go home, Jo. You really don't understand me." She said and started to walk away.

I was about to follow her when Madeline just come inside our room.

"Did you two fight again?" Madeline asked.

I shook my head. "No, we didn't even talk." I lied and just rest on my bed again.

Great, Beatriz! You really want this fight to prolong huh. I won't even bother you again.

I texted Jia and told her that I'll go with her in the bar later.

Pauline POV

I still cannot believe that I kissed her cheek that night. I really don't know where did I get the urge to do that. But ever since Madeline confessed to me, I am not afraid to show her the real side of me, the playful side of me.

Tonight, we're going to the bar and I invited Trey, Bea, and Madeline to go with me since my batchmate Basti told me to invite my friends to watch their gig. The more, the merrier.

"Pauline, you done?" I heard Trey knocked on the door.

"Yep!" I yelled.

Actually, I really made myself look beautiful tonight because I will see Madeline again. I want her to fall in love with me even though I know that she already likes me. We may have confessed our feelings for each other, but we haven't talked about our label yet—I don't know if we're officially a couple or not.

"Come on, Pau! They're here." Said Trey so I immediately went out of my room.

We saw Bea's car and we went in. I sat beside Madeline while Trey's on the passenger seat.

"Hi Bea and Madeline!" I greeted. Bea just smiled at me, seems like she's not in the mood but I just ignored it since Trey started talking to her.

I looked at Madeline and she's staring at me. "You look beautiful tonight." She said.

I smiled. "You too."

Then here comes the silence between us so I decided to put on my earphones and listen to some music.

Madeline got the other pair of my earphone and placed it on her ears. She closed her eyes and leaned on my shoulder to rest her head. I smiled with what she did. I feel calm and relaxed that she's this close to me.

"You're all I ever need, baby you're amazing, you're my angel come and save me." She sang while we're listening. I looked at her.

"You know this song too?" I asked.

"Yep."

"Is it your favorite?" I asked.

"Not really."

"So what's your favorite music?"

She stared at me. "You."

"What?"

She smiled at my reaction. "Your voice is my favorite music."

I slapped her arm slightly. "You're really joker." I said and rolled my eyes. Trying to conceal what I feel.

We're now here at the bar and I instantly saw Basti.

"Babe! You're here!" He said and hugged me. I hugged him too.

"Missed you babe!" I told him. "Anyway, here's my sister Trey and my teammates, Bea and... Madeline." I said.

They greeted each other but I saw Madeline faking everything. It's like she does not want to talk to Basti. What's wrong with her?

"Anyway babe, I got to go. I need to prepare. Just tell me if you need anything, alright?" He said.

I nodded. "Good luck, babe!"

Then we went to our reserved table... I looked at Madeline because she's so quiet. I sat beside her and move closer to her because the music was so loud.

"Are you okay, Mads?" I asked.

She just looked at me. "Who's that guy? Are you dating him?"

"What? Where did that came from?" I asked.

"Why don't you just answer me, Pauline?"

"He's just my friend." I said.

"Really? Alright. Friends who call each other babe? Nice." She said and walked away.

Trey and Bea we're so busy drinking that's why they didn't notice us. But I immediately followed Madeline until we reached the car park.

Why do we always end up talking in this place?

"Madeline, wait for me! Let me explain!" I told her.

She stopped walking and stared at me. "Explain what?"

"Could you please calm down first? I don't want to talk to you when you're so full of negative emotions. We might fight even more."

I saw her took a deep breath. "Okay. Explain."

I held her hand. "We're just friends. He is my batchmate. We just call each other babe but it doesn't mean a thing. Besides, Basti already has a girlfriend. You don't have to be jealous."

"I'm sorry if I did react that way." She said.

I smiled. "It's okay, Madeline. You're cute when your jealous." I teased.

She hugged me without saying a thing. I hugged her back.

"And now you're sweet." I said and we both laughed.

"I'm just afraid to see you with someone else..."

I did not say a thing and just looked at her.

"So..." She took a deep breath and stared intently in my eyes. "Can you be mine? Can you be my girlfriend, Pauline?"

I was so surprised because I was not expecting that question tonight. Madeline never fails to surprise me. She always want everything spontaneous.

"Of... Of course." I said and she hugged me instantly.

I looked at her. "I love you, Madeline."

She pressed the tip of her nose to mine. "I love you more, Pauline. And now that you're mine, there's no turning back." She said as she sealed my lips with a kiss.

And just like that, she's officially mine right here in the car park where it all started...

Johana Morin POV

"Wait, Jo... Is that Bea?" Jia asked while we are here inside the bar. I followed her gaze and was surprised to see Bea with some other girls.

"What the heck?" I whispered.

"Is that why she's not answering your texts and calls?" Jia asked.

"Damn it! She's really getting into my nerves! She told me I was flirting with Marci when she's the one who flirts with other girls."

"Calm down, Johana."

"No way! We're leaving! We'll leave this place with my girlfriend!" I said and immediately walked to their table.

"Beatriz!" I yelled at her.

She looked so wasted. She smiled when she saw me. "Oh, my baby's here. Good bye girls. I'm gonna dance with my baby." She said while laughing and stood up.

"Do you want to dance baby?" She asked while dancing.

I tried not to laugh at her. "Come on. You're drunk, Bea. We'll go home."

"But as far as I remember, we're not okay. I'm mad at you because I was so jealous and so scared to lose you because of that Marci boy."

I couldn't help but laugh. "We really have to go, Bea. You're so drunk."

I helped her walk until we reached her car. I borrowed the keys and we sat on the backseat together. I texted Jia to come here and be our driver. I don't want Bea to drive because she's drunk.

"Baby, kiss me please." She said.

I kissed her lips instantly just to shut her up. It tastes like alcohol and I don't like it!

"One more baby, or maybe two or three more." She said and pulled me closer to her.

"Bea? Don't be so naughty." I said and giggled. She laughed at me.

"Why are you so shy baby?"

"Because you're drunk." I said to her.

"I'm not that drunk baby." She said and leaned closer to me and started kissing my lips.

I respond to her kisses and wrapped my arms around her neck while deepening the kiss. She also touches my waist while rubbing my back.

Her kisses went down to my neck until...

"OH MY GOSH!" We stopped when we saw Jianna opened the door.

"Oh gosh." I whispered. I hear Beatriz laughed at Jianna.

"Nice timing, Jianna." She sarcastically said.

"Thank God I went here while you two are still dressed." Jianna said and started the engine of Bea's car.

"Let's just continue it later, Jo." Said Beatriz and winked at me.

"Oh gosh, Bea! Why are you like that? I haven't seen you like that before when you're drunk." I said.

"You made me jealous, Johana. You have to pay." She smirked.

I just rolled my eyes. "Whatever!"

"Oh gosh! You two! Please just calm right there, okay? Don't do anything. My goodness! My innocent eyes!" Jia said while driving.

"Don't worry, Jia. We won't do it while you're here." Said Bea and we both laughed.

"I didn't know you guys were that flirt huh." Jianna said and laughed.

"Now you already know." Bea said.

My big baby is hugging me so tight right now. I looked at her and she just fell asleep.

I just stared at her... Oh how I missed this girl so much. I hope Madeline would not stay in the dorm tonight . I really want to be alone with Bea tonight.

"I love you, baby. I'm so sorry for being so stubborn." Bea whispered to me while her eyes are still closed.

I kissed her forehead. "It's alright baby. I love you."

And at the end of the day, we really cannot bear not being okay with each other. Each time we have small or big fights, we make sure to fix it before the day ends. That's how much we love and treasure each other...
