Chapter 38

Beatriz Del Valle POV

It's already 4:30 PM and we've been doing a lot of drills for today's training. It's so tiring because Coach Fai changed our routines. He made more difficult training drills for the team to help us improve and to punish us as well because many of us were late awhile ago. He really hates late comers.

I looked at Johana and she really looks tired and it seems like she's not in the mood to train today. She was being yelled by Coach Fai during her one-man training awhile ago.

"Girls! Water break!" Said Aisa after talking to Coach Fai.

I just keep on looking at Johana because she looks so pale and I could not just watch her like that from afar. I don't care what they would say, I have to talk to her.

So I went closer to her. "Hey."

She was surprised to see me. "Bea..."

"Are you alright? You look so pale." I asked. I am so concerned.

"I'm fine... It was just that I'm having a menstrual cramps."

"You should have rested in the dormitory." I told her.

"Bea they're looking at us... you might want to distance yourself from me." She said.

She really have the guts to say that even if she's in pain. She always thinks of other people instead of herself.

I was about to scold her but she suddenly passed out. Good thing I was able to catch her.

"Johana!" Our teammates shouted.

"Oh gosh! What happened?" I hear Jianna asked.

"She passed out because of her menstrual cramps." I told them.

"Let's bring her to the clinic!" Trey said.

"Why didn't she tell us she's in pain?" Ella asked.

"Don't worry, I will just take care of her." I told them and carried Johana in a bridal style.

"You sure, Bea?" Aisa asked. I nodded.

I don't care what they will say about this. But I really have to take care of Johana...

I immediately went to my car and as I was reaching my car, Johana woke up.

"W-What happened?" She asked.

I did not answer, instead I let her sit on my car. I also get in the car and drove to the dormitory.

"Bei what happened?"

"You passed out because of your menstrual cramps. Why didn't you tell us you are in pain? Why did you keep on training?"

"I was shy to tell about it."

"I was so worried about you, Johana. Good thing I was there before you passed out."

"I'm sorry to keep you worried."

I took a deep breath. "Just please, learn to say it when you are not feeling well, okay?"

She nodded. We went inside our room and I let her rest on her bed. I also prepared a hot compress for her and a soup because she might be hungry.

"Thank you, Bea." She whispered.

"You're welcome, Johana. Just rest well okay?"

She nodded. "I love you, Bea. I appreciate everything you do for me."

I came close to kiss her forehead. "I love you so much, Johana. I won't get tired of taking care of you..."

After she ate the soup, she eventually fell asleep. I just stared at her beautiful face, I wouldn't get tired of staring at her. I'm glad she's fine now.

I don't know what will happen after this since our teammates saw us together again, but what's important is that Johana's okay now. I'm pretty sure that my teammates would understand.

Madeline POV

"I know it's late but still, congratulations for being a part of the team, Pauline." I said and smiled at her.

We're here in a restaurant for our dinner date because I promised to treat her.

"Thank you, Madeline for this. I appreciate it."

"You're always welcome, Pauline. I hope you enjoy the food."

Ever since I confessed to Pauline, I feel very happy. It's like I am now looking forward to waking up every day and being with her. Pauline feels like a remedy to me, or a vitamins perhaps and I need her everyday.

"I was worried abour Johana earlier, I hope she's fine." She said.

I suddenly remember what happened during the training. Johana passed out and good thing, Bea was there to catch her. I don't know but I feel like there's something going on between them that they're just hiding so no one can intervene again.

It's obvious in their eyes that they still love each other.

"I'm pretty sure Jo is fine. She's with Bea. I know Bea will do everything to take care of Jo."

I saw her smiled. "I hope someone could take care of me too."

I frowned. "I'm right here, Pauline. Why are you thinking of someone?"

"I was actually referring to you." She said while laughing.

"But seriously, I'm willing to take care of you, if you would only let me do it." I said because I can feel like Pauline is still weighing up on things.

I feel like she's controlling what she feels for me but I understand her. Maybe she's just protecting herself from heartaches. But I will always assure her that what I feel for her is true.

"Of course, I would."

I smiled. "Alright."

We just spend the night together and just like before, we tell random stories to each other, had deep talks about life, and all. After that, I decided to bring her to their house since it is getting late.

"Thank you for tonight, Madeline. I know I say this a lot but I really enjoyed."

"I'm glad you enjoyed."

We just smiled at each other then here comes the awkward silence again.

"Uh.. I think I have to go." I said to break the silence.

She nodded. "Bye!" I said.

I was about to get in the car again when she held my arm. "Wait!"

"Why? Did you for---" I wasn't able to finish what I'm about to say when she suddenly kissed my cheek.

And after that, she immediately ran inside their house leaving me here... dumbfounded.

I was not expecting that. Pauline, you really are something.

I smiled as I drive to the dormitory. Is this how it feels to like someone so much that it makes you go crazy?
