Chapter 36

~ Seyah ~

My whole world collapsed hearing mom’s words. Is hse going to send me to france? But how can I see Seth then? No I don’t want to, I immediately wrapped my arm around Seth’s arms and shook my head.

“Mom, I don’t want to.. Please. I’m sorry” I said as tears rolled down from my eyes. I looked up at Seth and saw his eyes were filled with tears but they didn’t come out. Holding my hand he looked into mom’s eyes.

“Don’t do this to us..” his voice was both hurt and helpless. I looked at my mom who had tears in her eyes. Then she wiped her tears and got up from the sofa. Looking at me and Seth she shook her head.

“Seyah, go and get ready” I couldn’t help but cry after hearing what she said. I don’t want to leave him and also mom and dad. Why are they sending me away?

“Alright, I’ll leave. Let her stay here. She knows nothing about living alone. I will go” I looked up at Seth and shook my head. No, I don’t want him to leave, I just want to be with him.

“You can’t Seth, you just took over every company and you cannot leave like that. Stop arguing. You two really did a horrible thing ignoring that you are brothers and sisters. Just shut your mouths and do as we said” she said angrily.

She was wiping her tears and she was just hurt, she was also crying. I tightened the grip I had around Seth and lowered my head. How can I live without him? How can I just stay away from him after loving him this much?

I raised my head and looked at Seth, he was also looking down at me with a hurt filled look. I bit my lower lip and moved closer to him as he pulled me to a hug. Burying my face against his chest I cried until my tears didn’t come out from my eyes.

He was caressing my head, I finally stopped and looked up at him. Seeing his face, I didn’t have the heart to leave him. I just looked into his eyes and smiled forcefully before breaking the hug.

I turned and looked at my mom who was looking at us with an extremely hurt expression. Then she looked at me and then moved her eyes to Seth.

“Mom? Please?” I heard Seth’s hoarse voice and he was looking at mom. She watched us for a while and shook her head.

“Seyah come now” my heart was aching for Seth because of the look he had. Then he looked down at me and caressed my face. Moving his face closer to me he kissed my lips before whispering something to me.

‘Let’s run away tonight’ hearing him, my heart shook violently. I looked at him as he let out a small smile. I watched him for a while and looked at my mom. She was still looking at us. Moving my gaze to Seth, I shook my head.

‘We can’t, we shouldn’t disgrace them. I love you’ I whispered back and kissed his cheek before breaking the hug and walking towards mom.

“Seyah.. You’re leaving me?” my actions stopped hearing Seth’s broken voice. I looked back at him and saw tears rolling down from his eyes. I shook my head and smiled at him.

“No, I’m coming back” I simply replied to him as mom grabbed me from my arm and walked away. I looked back and saw he was still looking at me as if his whole world had collapsed in front of his eyes.

Taking me towards my room, mom just looked at me with strange eyes. I couldn’t look at her eyes so I just did nothing but lowered my head without looking into her eyes. I was guilty, hurt and lost at the same time. How can I live without Seth?

“You cannot come back or call, I will call you from my number but you cannot call me. Now give me your phone” my heart tightened hearing her, why is she doing this to me? Can't she understand that we’re in love?

“Mom, atleast I need my phone to take with me” I said because I had so many images with Seth on my phone. She looked at me for a while and grabbed my phone as she deleted all contacts in the phone including Seth’s number,

I didn’t have tears but my heart was crying mercilessly. Then giving my phone back to me, she looked at me and caressed my face.

“I’m sorry little princess” she said as she hugged me so tightly, I can understand her situation and I can understand why she’s doing this. I shook my head and smiled forcefully.

“Don’t say sorry mom, it was our fault” I muttered. Then she looked at me and nodded as she helped me to pack my things. I didn’t even take half of my clothes from my dressing table but I just took everything Seth gave me.

“My sister is in France, you will live with her so there will be nothing to be worried about, she hasn’t married or had kids so you will be her only kid” I didn’t utter a word. I just kept looking at the necklace Seth bought me that day. Caressing the pendant, I wore it and I will never take it off.

I remember mom mentioning about her sister when I was a kid but I never expected I would have to leave my family. I looked at my mom and nodded at her as she painfully smiled at me.

“Wait here, don’t come out” she said as she walked out of the room while closing the door behind her.
