Chapter 59 059

Chapter 59 059
UNCLE GREG.
Hours before the visit,
“So are you telling me that Jonas fellow did all of this??!” Salem exclaimed.

I sighed out in pretense. I wore a sad and worried face but deep inside, I was chuckling wickedly that I was able to still have Salem on my side.

“Would I lie to you, dear friend??” I answered.

“I wouldn't do that to you, Salem. I just couldn't watch Jonas do all of that and go scot free…”

“....infact I'm so happy you are here now to hear this. We can both do something about it before its too late,” I uttered.

“So what are you thinking now, Greg?”

“Kill him of course!!” The voice in my head uttered but I couldn't speak them out.

Salem was the saint and always acted like he hadn't even kill a cockroach before.

“Do you really think he is a threat?” Salem asked further.

I paused and had a quick thought. What could I possibly tell him to make him believe that Jonas needs to be taken out of the way??

Nothing concrete was coming to mind but I had just to say something.

“There is a lot I haven't told you about Jonas…” I started.

“Even after I told you I saw him with Steven, I think he is trying to boycott the plan we have with the agro-business….” I opined.

‘Wait, what? Can he possibly do that?” I asked.

“Oh, yes he is. I confirmed it. Whatever he is doing with Steven, is going against us stylishly and we have to be smarter about it else he is going to run everything for us,” I explained.

“Oh my God…..but how do we stop him? You know that business is the only thing I'm depending on. My two sons are nowhere to be found. You have to help me out,” he lamented.

My perfect cue.

I just have to do enough convincing to get him on my side. “I have a plan but you might not like it,” I voiced out.

“C'mon, Greg. Do I have to like it? This is about saving our personal business, so of course I'm in. Just say what it is, friend,” he answered sharply.

“We need to see Steven's wife…..” I uttered.

“Uhn? His wife, the lady? For what? What has that got to do with Jonas?” Salem interrupted.

“Calm down and hear me out. You know I have ears and eyes everywhere, my friend. I was told Steven is about to unlock some new properties of my brother……the estates villa, the management is about to give him access to everything in there,” I explained.

“Okay? I still don't get the connection, Greg. What exactly are we going to get with this? Or is there something you are not telling me yet?”

“Salem, don't be stupid. You are way smarter than this. There is a strategy I am trying to build here….”

“But I don't see it...are you sure this is about Jonas or you are still drunken with the need to get your brother's properties to yourself?!!”

I smirked.

“Oh no no…of course not. I'm over that already, Salem. We need to save our business. I have no issue with Ray's properties anymore,” I muttered.

Pffff….Just do what I want and you will know my real intentions….

I chuckled inside as I thought inside my mind. I knew what I wanted to achieve already. Salem was only a pawn in my game.

“You see, the point of the whole thing is to frustrate Steven and that fox, Jonas…but not only are we frustrating, we are also diverting their attention. If we can get the wife to take those documents for us then we would have them under our control.”

“Hmmm….that's a very brilliant idea but do you think we can achieve that? I mean, his wife doesn't know us. We can't do too much, you know?” He asked.

“Which is why we need to do more convincing. That is why you are following me, Salem. I've met with the lady once or so, she does look like someone who would buy into anything..” I opined.

“For a girl who is legally married to Steven?” He interrupted.

“Tarrrgh…I still don't believe he and that girl were actually a thing to begin with?” I objected.

“What are you insinuating?”

“Something is definitely shady about them but I don't even care anymore. Let's just do what I said, Salem. I believe this will work out well for us,” I said in a defensive tone.

“Fine…I would follow you but on one condition; we aren't doing anything forcefully or deceitfully…”

“If the lady doesn't agree to what we say, we let her be..” he added.

Oh, what a fool. Who would give up when the goal is to convince? Definitely not me.

That lady must agree to everything I say and request of her if not I am not leaving there.

“Greg, you aren't saying anything? Do you agree to what I said or not?” His loud voice interrupted my inner self- dialogue.

“Uhmmm…yeah sure. I don't have an issue with that. I told you, I just want to save our business!” I replied in a sharp tone…

For a moment, I felt reluctant to go there with Salem again but then I needed him on this.

“Of course, not for the convincing but just so he could buy the lie I have sold to him completely,” I thought in my head.

We got to Steven's house and fortunately for us, we were ushered in without any interruption.

“Did they know we were coming before?” Salem whispered and I shrugged.

Getting in, I didn't waste much time, saying as we rehearsed..the look on Salem's face as I spoke almost got me worried he just might make her know it's all an act but I continued either ways.

“......so you sure do get what I am saying, my dear wife?” I jested.

“I don't…But I am trying to understand what you mean I have a share in my husband properties. Is that really true?” She asked.

I was about to speak when I noticed Steven's personal bodyguard just around the stairs, standing and staring…

“You see the walls have ears my darling. I can tell you more if we could have a tea just by your shed outside,” I suggested.

Hopefully she agrees and I can play my game without interruption.

She looked back at the bodyguard and like they had a score to settle.

“Mrs. Gold? Are we going?” I reiterated, looking towards the door.

“I'm afraid not. I need to do something urgent upstairs first before I can..” she answered hurriedly like she was tensed already.

What is going on?

Is it possible the document already got to her??
