Chapter 129

Chapter 129
Sienna's pov

Harrison 's accusations used to feel like a fresh wound, suddenly flaring up and causing me pain.

He'd said more than once that I didn't get him, that I only cared about myself and never saw things from his perspective.

"So what?" I shrugged, letting out a sarcastic laugh. "You think you understand him better than I do?"

Kaia nodded, her honesty seeming genuine. "I know his struggles, what he needs, and his plans. Plus, we have shared memories, even though we just reconnected recently."

"Reconnected? What are you talking about? How long have you known him?" I quickly bit my lip. "Did you know him before you met me?"

I almost blurted out about their sunrise at Valdris.

Even if Kaia was sure I was faking amnesia, I couldn't bring up the past.

If I was going to pretend, I had to fully commit myself.

"Ms. Price, what nonsense are you talking about? Isn't it obvious?" Kaia seemed regretful. "Mr. Blackwood and I met before you married him. He spent years searching for me. You were just a replacement."

These were Harrison 's explanations to Kaia last night.

"I don't believe a word you're saying. Move aside!"

Hearing that I wasn't swayed, Kaia didn't continue persuading me and stepped out of the way.

But she didn't intend to let me leave comfortably.

"I'll tell you where Elena is and help you get revenge. But you must leave leave Mr. Blackwood. How about it?"

Such a tempting offer.

But after the lesson with Julian, I wasn't planning to make deals with the devil.

I didn't look back.

Luna had arrived.

She seemed to have been standing at the hotel entrance for a while and, judging by her expression, she must have overheard some of the conversation.

"Are you okay?"

After two months, Luna looked thinner, perhaps influenced by Alexander.

"I'm fine. Let's go inside."

Just after talking to Kaia, my voice sounded colder than usual.

"She..." Luna hesitated. "Never mind, let's talk in the private room."

It seemed Luna had met Kaia before.

Once inside the private room, I immediately turned off my phone.

"Sorry, I might be a bit paranoid right now. I'm worried Harrison is monitoring me through the phone. It's safer to turn it off."

Luna frowned but turned off her phone too.

"Did you really lose your memory?" She asked cautiously. "Harrison monitoring you like that seems too extreme."

I shook my head. "It's hard to say. This phone isn't my old one, and the number isn't either. I don't trust it."

In a way, my response was an implicit admission that I had not lost my memory.

"Harrison must have kept your release from prison a secret, otherwise Julian and Alexander would have known."

I was surprised. "Even Alexander didn't know?"

I thought he would at least tell his best friend.

"Unless he hid it from me."

When I mentioned Alexander, Luna's expression darkened. "After I went abroad, I completely cut ties with him. He has a fiancée and I can't stay by his side as his mistress."

"So now you're back because of me... I'm sorry for dragging you into this."

I thought their relationship might have changed after two months.

No progress, but a clean break wasn't bad either.

Clearly, their breakup wasn't pretty.

"This isn't dragging me down. I can't stay abroad just because of him. Besides, Zach wanted to invite me. I took the opportunity to come back. No problem at all."

Luna agreed so easily.

Naturally, I was worried, but Luna quickly changed the subject.

"Don't worry about me. After leaving Alexander, I find all men in the world appealing. Tell me about yourself. What's your plan? What's Harrison 's attitude towards you now?"

I briefly told her about my recent situation.

"My current plan is revenge. Elena must be hidden by Harrison , in a place no one knows."

Luna sneered. "I knew it. After you went to prison, the Blackwood family announced that Elena was sent abroad. But I found out some inside information. Elena was so ruthless, she killed her own son to frame you. Since they hid Adrian's death, the news about Elena must be fake too."

If she wasn't sent abroad, where could she be?

Another secret hideaway?

"If Harrison still loves Elena, sending her abroad would be the best choice for her." I tried to analyze. "Zach told me Classic was caught. If they could get her, it means Harrison 's patience with Elena is exhausted."

Not a secret hideaway, but rather, Elena was under house arrest.

"Making things so complicated, what is he worried about?" Luna scoffed. "It's not old feelings, planning to keep her forever, right?"

"You all can't find her location?" I was puzzled. "Regal City isn't that big. Where could she be hidden?"

"No, I left people in the country, but there's been no updates."

Luna suddenly made a bold guess. "Maybe she's in Blackwood Villa. Hidden in his own home, outsiders can't find her, right?"

I couldn't argue.

Zach said he'd help investigate. Maybe he already knew everything and just wanted to do me a favor.

"If it's the Blackwood Villa, we'll know in two days."

I shook my head and asked, "Kaia, have you met her before?"

"I know her. After you went to prison, she appeared by Harrison 's side."

Clearly, this wasn't a coincidence.

How could it be so coincidental?

I remembered Harrison 's concerns before the verdict. Was it because of Kaia?

"She didn't seem to act excessively, but Harrison suddenly having her as a secretary, he must have special feelings."

I briefly recounted my confrontation with Kaia.

"Sounds like she's targeting Harrison ." I rubbed my forehead. "A replacement?"

It was funny.

Among the three of us, who was whose replacement?

Thinking of the night I met Harrison , when he suddenly kissed me, was I just a replacement to him?

I fell for him at first sight, but he... probably not.

Luna quickly held my hand, as if reminding me. "Sienna , don't let her affect you. Kaia definitely doesn't want you and Harrison to reconcile. But compared to her, Harrison is more trustworthy."

"Yes, I know."

After a brief chat, three hours had passed. Luna offered to take me home.

"About the female companion, let Zach contact me himself. If he doesn't ask, I won't agree."

I teased, "Seems like you don't dislike him."

Luna thought for a moment. "He seems unserious, but asking you to contact me was actually giving a reason to reach out. He's helping you."

Shortly after I turned my phone back on, numerous missed calls popped up.
