Chapter 120

Chapter 120
Sienna's pov

I chose to stay quiet while Harrison talked.

He seemed to get that more talking wouldn't help, so he just led me out of the room.

The clock in the living room showed it was four o'clock.

Martha had already set the table. She greeted us with a smile at first, but seeing our gloomy faces, she just pulled out chairs for us and stepped aside.

"All your electronic devices have been taken. I've ordered new ones for you, they should be here in a couple of days."

I looked at the food on the table, not feeling hungry at all, and replied flatly, "Taken? What did I do to get my electronics confiscated? It's not like I committed some financial crime, right?"

Even if they were taken, they should be returned once they find nothing incriminating.

I didn't care much about the phone since it was a new one Harrison had bought for me, but the computer... it had all my design drafts, all my hard work.

I wondered how Luna was doing now.

"It's not financial crimes, but according to regulations, electronic devices need to be handed over. I tried to get them back for you but couldn't. I'm sorry."

It made sense, given the murder charge, so all electronic devices would be taken for inspection and archiving.

"If it's not financial crimes, then what is it? You never told me what I did."

Compared to last night and this morning, I was much colder towards Harrison .

"Is it something too difficult to talk about?"

His reluctance to tell me indicated that he couldn't clear my name.

Harrison added some food to my plate and looked into my eyes, saying, "You didn't commit any crime, and it's not your fault. You just need to remember that you didn't do it."

I changed my approach, "Can you at least tell me what the police charged me with? I don't want to hear it from someone else."

I stared into his eyes, hinting at something.

"Kaia told me you two are close. You brought her to take care of me because you trust her, but shouldn't you have asked for my opinion before having her treat me?"

A flash of surprise crossed Harrison 's eyes.

"She told you that?"

I sneered, "What else? Or do you think I'm lying to you?"

Yes, I was lying to him. Kaia hadn't said any of that to me.

But so what? Kaia couldn't stay at Blackwood Estate.

I was using this to test Harrison .

He used to trust Elena unconditionally, but now he couldn't trust me?

"My bad, I'll warn her. Don't take her words to heart."

Harrison 's brows furrowed, a dark look in his eyes, but my heart sank again.

Never easily tested a man's true feelings, and never had expectations.

His answers would never be what I wanted.

"You still haven't answered my question."

I didn't press further, picking up my utensils, "I think I've made my thoughts clear. Whether you act on it is up to you. But Harrison , even though I don't remember my past, emotions don't completely disappear."

The next second, I felt a probing gaze, not so gentle, more like scrutiny—much like how he used to look at me.

"When you defended Kaia, I got inexplicably angry, so I think I used to love you a lot. But your answers now disappoint me. Love isn't just words. If you really love me, let me feel it. Anyone can say sweet things, but love I can't feel is just you indulging yourself."

I didn't say more, just took small bites of food. Harrison 's eyes never left me, and I didn't hear him eating.

It wasn't until I finished that I noticed Harrison had moved closer to my side.

He took a wet wipe and gently cleaned the oil from the corner of my mouth, then lightly lifted my chin.

"Can you repeat what you just said while looking at me?"

Harrison caressed my chin, very close to me. My chin touched the metal buckle of his belt, cool and scraping my skin.

Harrison seemed to sense my retreat, his palm holding my chin, pulling us closer.

"Can you say it again?"

His voice was low and commanding, yet incredibly gentle, like coaxing me closer, but I didn't know if he had set a trap for me.

"Are you crazy?"

A wave of emotion surged in me, and I pushed him away hard. "Saying those words again while looking at you, what's the difference?"

Harrison smirked. "To me, it makes a difference."

It felt like he was being unreasonable, but I had no proof.

"I'm full. I'm going back to my room."

I brushed past his shoulder, but he quickly grabbed me, pulling me into his arms with one hand.

"Didn't you say you wanted to go out for a walk? Let's go, I'll go with you."

His long arm wrapped around my chest, resting on my other shoulder, bringing our faces closer.

With such a stance, it felt like a kiss, the intimate atmosphere making my cheeks warm.

"But I want to go out alone," I said calmly. "You don't need to accompany me today. Go do your work."

I didn't want to, but Harrison wouldn't allow it.

"I'm done with work. I can make time to accompany you. Change your clothes, let's go."

I didn't want to argue further. If I kept refusing, he might get suspicious.

I then realized Harrison had bought me new clothes, a set of black clothes that fit me well.

When I returned to the living room, Harrison had also changed into black casual clothes.

I rarely saw him in anything other than a suit.

"Your phone and computer have arrived. Take a look."

Two unopened boxes were on the coffee table. I only opened the phone.

The past chat records were probably lost.

"Let's go."

I only turned on the phone, downloaded basic communication apps, but didn't log into my old accounts.

After all, I lost my memory, so I shouldn't remember account passwords or old friends.

Harrison took me to the city center.

Regal City's night was still bustling, neon lights flashing everywhere, people coming and going, a lively scene.

I felt a bit more at ease, just walking forward, not noticing Harrison 's increasingly deep gaze.

"Sienna ?"

It sounded like someone was calling me.

I looked around and saw Julian standing not far away.

His eyes lit up with joy, and he quickly ran over, grabbing my shoulders. "It's really you! You're out of prison?!"

I deliberately acted frightened. "Who are you? I... I don't know you."

But inside, I was shocked.

Didn't Harrison say he had suppressed the news of my imprisonment? How did Julian know?

But that incident was orchestrated by Elena. Julian shouldn't have been involved.

Harrison quickly pulled me into his arms.
