Chapter 47 Chapter 47

Chapter 47 Chapter 47
Draven's POV

I can feel the anger coming off of Amil in waves. He might not notice it, but he's shaking. It's killing me to see him like this. Usually, I would find his anger sexy and hot, but not now. Nothing about this anger is sexy or hot. It's just pure pain and hatred. And it hurts to see him in so much pain.

"I'm sorry, that what we did hurt you." Relia said, but it was obvious she didn't mean it. Her tone, her eyes as she stared at her son, were as cold as the snow beneath our feet.

"It wasn't what you did, that hurt me the most... It was what you said... I was four! And you left me with my grandmother! You said, that I was no longer your son because you couldn't fucking stand the way I looked anymore! I was four! And you left me with a woman I barely even knew! Why!? Why couldn't you fucking love me!?"

The pain, the betrayal, the sorrow, the anger, and the hatred he felt. I could feel them all as he yelled at the people who cast him away without a second thought.

He held all these emotions in. Keeping them bottled up inside. I feel so helpless. All I can do is hold him as he tries not to fall to his knees.

"You want the truth? I left you, because I never wanted a son who is an Omega, let alone born with the status of a Villain."

Am I dreaming? Or did she really just fucking say that?

"Relia! You keep my grandson from me for twenty-four years and you have the audacity to come here and tell him you never wanted him because of what he is? Your mother and I raised you better than this." Count Reginald's voice booms as he walks up next to Amil, scowling at his daughter.

"You forget, mother raised him, therefore, she kept him from you, not me." The resentment in her tone told me all I needed to know.

"She never kept him from me. We decided it was best for him to stay in Novalyn, Rotan. You just proved that he never needed you. He proved that he never needed you. He reached the S rank as an adventurer at the age of seventeen. Because he worked for it. You, are the only one I am disappointed in."

"I said it before, and I'll say it again. Villains are devils and don't deserve to live. Why Ayla allowed them to live is beyond me. I should have gotten rid of him the second I gave birth to him."

Agonizing pain rushes through me, but I know it's not mine. I look down and Amil is clutching his stomach like he's in pain. "Baby? What's wrong?"

He looks up at me, "It hurts." He whispers before I pick him up and carry him inside the barracks to our room as his mother and grandfather get into a screaming match.

"Amil? What's wrong?" Eryx asks, running into the room with everyone else. He basically pushes me aside to hover his hands over my love's stomach.

"It hurts." He whispers again, curling into a ball as he cries out in pain.

"Draven?" Eryx looks at me and I shake my head.

"I don't know. His mother, said that she should have gotten rid of him when he was born and now, he's like this. I don't know what to do."

"How could a mother say that about her child? How could anyone think that about their child, or children?" Arvan asked.

All I could do was shake my head. Because I don't know. 'Gods, please, don't let him lose our baby. He can't lose anyone else.'

"One of you call a midwife now!" Eryx demands and worry sinks her teeth into me.

"What's going on?"

"Do you remember, when I said his pregnancy was happening too fast? That he was a month and half along?"

"Yeah, you said that when he said his powers were weakening. Right before he started to evolve."

"When he evolved, the pregnancy grew faster. We couldn't sense it because the baby, well, babies, were hiding."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Are you saying, that he's in labor right now?" Panic sets in. Taking hold of my very heart, and fear develops me like a blanket.

"Yes, he is. Everyone out unless you know how this goes!" He orders.

Taleisin, Orion, Yari, and Remus stay. Gathering everything Eryx tells them to without hesitation.

It's too soon. No, this is way too soon. This shouldn't be happening right now, not for another four months. Wait, did he, just say babies?

"Did you, say babies? Like, there's more than one?" I ask, giving Amil my hand when he reaches for it. I'm not leaving this room unless someone drags me out. And probably chains me to a wall to keep me from being here.

"Yes. It's twins. I should have known sooner. We would have been prepared already."

"Does this mean that Atreus and Arvan will have theirs early too or is it just Amil?"

"No. Young Atreus and Arvan will have their children on time." Evaine says, appearing out of nowhere next to Eryx. "Have you called for a midwife, doctor, and healer?"

"Yeah, they should be here any minute now." Yari said as he brought a large bucket filled with steaming water with Remus right behind him with a big stack of towels.

Taliesin and Orion made sure the room was clear and clean as Mael brought in a crib. One that looked big enough to hold two babies.

Amil squeezed my hand as he screamed in pain. I look at him and focus all of my attention on him. "I'm right here. I'm not leaving." I assure him.

"It hurts, more than I thought it would. I thought I knew pain, but this is worse than all of those times." He manages to say before making me sit on the bed next to him, so he can hold onto my arm.

I'll do anything to make him comfortable. If I could take his pain, I would. "You're stronger than me. Because I don't think I would be able to go through this."

"Dumbass." He whispered before crying out in pain. I looked at the door when I heard it open, and saw Remus.

"Eryx, they're here!" Remus announced as he let the midwife, doctor and healer into the room. The doctor brought in a cart filled with tools.

All three of them got to work, not letting themselves hesitate for even a second.

"Mr. Amil. I will have to do a c-section. Is that alright with you?" The doctor asked as he put gloves on as well as a mask.

"Yes. Just do what you need to." Amil said, his voice cracking before cried in pain again.

The doctor nods before instructing everyone on what to do. I helped Amil take his shirt off before the doctor came up to him with a needle.

Amil saw it and started to panic. He wouldn't let the needle anywhere near him. I, didn't know, that he was scared of needles.
