Episode 26

★SILVA★

I was headed to the clinic when I heard someone call my name from behind. The voice sounded familiar, like that of UK. When I turned around, I saw that it was indeed her.

I smiled and greeted her, "UK?" as she approached me. She then surprised me by kissing me. "Have you seen the Alpha?" she asked me afterwards, and I nodded in response.

"Indeed, I am currently headed to meet with Logan as he is required urgently," I responded, to which she nodded in acknowledgement.

"Alright," she replied, shrugging her shoulders.

However, her tone quickly changed as she added, "But Diana requires your immediate presence," causing my heart to skip a beat in fear.

This girl's dealings with me have left me constantly on edge, to the point where the mere mention of her name is enough to frighten me.

"May I ask where she is?" I inquired.

"She's in her room," UK replied.

"Alright, I'll head to her room after I check up on Logan. Is that okay?" I said, smiling as I gently kissed her cheek once again.

As I left her presence, she continued to smile, seemingly forgetting herself for a moment due to the kiss.

"Hey, Silva!" she called out to me just as I was about to leave her sight. I turned to look at her, and she caught my attention just in time.

"Yes?" I asked, waiting for her as she approached me.

"I think it's important for you to see her before meeting with Logan," UK said.

"Why is that?" I asked, curious as to why she felt it necessary for me to attend to Diana first, especially since I already had an errand from the Alpha.

"She sounded very urgent when she asked me to call you, and I don't think she will take it lightly if you don't come with me," UK explained. I let out a heavy sigh and placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Just tell her I'll be there in a few minutes," I instructed UK. However, before I could leave, she interrupted me.

"Please, Silva. You have to come with me now. I'm so scared to go back to her without you," she pleaded.

"Please..." she begged, and I could see the fear in her eyes.

I couldn't ignore her plea, especially since everyone who works for Diana seems to be afraid of her, including myself.

To spare her from Diana's wrath, I made up my mind to accompany her to Diana's room.

"It's okay, let's go," I said, and she breathed a sigh of relief as she placed her hand on her chest.

"Thank you," UK said, and I nodded in response.

"Anything for you. Let's go," I replied, leading the way to Diana's room.

When we arrived, Diana was seated on her bed, dressed in what appeared to be revealing clothing. She was wearing tiny clothes that barely covered her nipples and private parts.

I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her mind that would make her dress in such a provocative manner.

Well, I wouldn't tell for now so I kindly approached her with UK by my side.

"Here he is, my princess," UK said as she stood close to me. Diana rose from her seat with a cup of wine in her hand and approached me.

"What the hell are you still doing here this thing!" she shouted, referring to UK.

Can you imagine? She was referring to my mate as a "thing"? Well, I had to act like I wasn't hurt by her words.

Deep down, I was truly hurt by Diana's words, and as UK prepared to leave, she gave me a meaningful stare. Only the two of us knew the significance of that look. Diana was oblivious to its meaning and likely did not even notice it.

The look from UK was a warning for me not to do something,do you understand what she meant? Well I do.

And as she left, Diana began to circle around me.

She ended up standing in front of me and whispered seductively in my ear, "What's keeping you from hopping into bed with me?"

"I don't know what your plan is this time around," I replied calmly, unmoved by her nakedness.

She became upset with just that statement. "Really?" she said before stepping back to the bed to retrieve her clothes and put them back on.

"YOU say that just because I offered you a chance?" she asked, fastening up her shirt, while I shook my head.

"No, I said that because I am attempting to extricate myself from the predicament you have already placed me in," I retorted, as she flashed a ridiculous smile.

"Moreover, you are aware that there is nothing you can do about it at this point, as it is already too late," she stated, and I nodded in agreement.

"I understand your point, but reconciling with you here could lead to additional complications if we're caught. Moreover, I'm still uncertain about your intentions," I responded.

"In that case, how is the mission proceeding? Have you made any progress? Or do you believe that I'm not serious about revealing our secrets?" she inquired, causing me to exhale deeply and glance over my shoulder.

I checked to see if UK was nearby, but discovered that she was far away and there was no one in close proximity. I spoke in a relaxed tone.

"I hadn't considered that, but regarding your mission, I'm working on it," I responded as she nodded and sat down on the bed.

"Excellent! So, at what stage are you? Can you tell me about some of the progress you've made?" she inquired.

"I'm sorry, but I think you need to be patient. I will only reveal the details once the mission is completed," I said, as she stared at me for a few moments.

"Okay... maybe you can leave now," she said, as she fell onto the bed.

As I turned to leave, I remembered that I needed to make a request, as I was in a complete mess and wanted everything to come to an end.

"May I make a request, please?" I asked, turning to face her as she sat up on the bed.

"Sure, go ahead and ask for whatever you want," she replied, taking a deep breath.

"Once I've helped you get Lucia out of this pack, can we pretend like we have no connection whatsoever? I don't want to be associated with you in any way after this. Deal?" I asked, as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Ummm... yeah, deal. Of course. This is the most important thing that I need from you," she replied.

"Because even after that, I won't be living under the same roof as you. Wretched things," she added. I left her room without paying attention to her irritating words.

As soon as I stepped out of her room, I saw Lucia and Logan coming forward.

I was extremely surprised to see how easily Logan had recovered from his brutal injury and was back on his feet.

"Hey, meet Silva...I don't think I need to introduce him again. I believe you already know him," Lucia said as soon as they approached, as Logan smiled.

"So, you're already back on your feet?" I asked him, and he nodded.

"Yes, all thanks to you guys, bro," Logan replied.

"May we take a walk? I have a few questions for you," I asked him, and he nodded in agreement.

"Of course," he replied, and we began walking. Lucia attempted to join us, but I politely informed her that it needed to be just the two of us.

"I'm sorry, but it needs to be just the two of us," I explained to her. She graciously accepted my request.

"Okay then, I'll wait here," she replied with a smile. The difference between Lucia and Diana is quite significant. Diana would probably slap me for making such a request.

However, I didn't want to hurt Lucia's feelings in any way because she is so kind but I have no choice, so even though she had agreed to stay behind, I called out to her before we left.

"Umm, Lucia?" I called out.

"Yes?" she replied.

"I can see that you're happy and that you and Logan seem to be quite close. Did you know him from somewhere before?" I asked, and she waved her head with a smile.

"Not really," she replied, which surprised me, considering how close they already seemed to be.

"Okay," I said before beginning to walk with Logan. However, I knew that my mission would now be much easier.

It was clear to me that Lucia had developed feelings for Logan, but I don't think she realized the dangerous consequences of pursuing those feelings, especially since she was already fated to be with Alpha Jackie.

At this point, I realized that I didn't need to stress myself out anymore. However, I also knew that Lucia was going to suffer immensely if I do this, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Unfortunately, I had no choice in the matter. I knew that I had to carry out my mission.
