Chapter 44 The lycans luna
Miguel was supposed to be looking out at the southern border but he couldn't stop thinking about Dona. Something about how she raised her tiny legs to give him that light kiss kept him smiling, a behavior that was completely unlike him.
“Uhm Miguel"?
One of the men who was guarding called out his name when he noticed how he kept smiling to himself, pulling him out of his thoughts.
“Are you okay”?
He asked and Miguel cleared his throat.
“Any suspicious movement”?
He asked, avoiding his questions but the warrior shook his head.
“Nothing for now, but we'll have to remain on look out for the whole night”.
He said and just then, they heard footsteps approaching. The men immediately stood, ready to attack if it was any form of danger.
Soon, someone walked out from the the dark using a cloak to cover their face.
“Identify yourself”.
Miguel said and the person used their hand to take the cloak off their head.
Miguel raised a brow and looked at the woman standing in front of them… surprised.
“Hazel”?
He called and she smiled. The men immediately spoke.
“It's the Luna".
They said and bowed. Miguel moved close to her and asked.
“What are you doing here”?
He asked and she walked past the men and found herself a place to sit.
“I'll be watching with you guys”.
She said as though it was a normal occurrence but it didn't sit right with Miguel at all.
“Does Kael know you're here suddenly playing warrior”?
He asked but she just looked at him with a straight face and looked away.
“He doesn't".
She said and he nodded.
“You have to leave, we don't know if they'll try to infiltrate the lands again, we have to get you to safety”.
He said but she suddenly stood up, rushed past the guards and made a high clear whistle sound. It sounded like she was yelling but so clearly and sharply the men had to cover their ears.
The trees in front of her pushed back and the people who had been hiding in the dark fell to the ground, their ears bleeding.
Hazel stopped and smiled.
“I truly have activated my siren powers”.
She said, proud of herself.
Miguel and the other men immediately stayed in formation, ready to fight.
“This isn't safe Hazel, you have to stay close where I can protect you”.
Miguel words were beginning to piss Hazel off.
“Ugh, you're welcome? Plus I can take care of myself, I'll just take this as a training session”.
She said and also positioned herself, ready to fight.
Miguel looked at her from his side but couldn't do much as he knew he couldn't be distracted right now.
“Kael is gonna kill me”.
He said and she smiled.
“Well, we'll worry about that tomorrow”.
She said and they charged at the men.
Hazel looked like she was having fun, hitting them and taking her time to give the minor yet painful injuries so they could heal and she could attack again
After a while, she noticed they all started shifting into their wolves.
Hazel has never shifted before, this would be the first time Hazel was letting Dove come out because the only rule Dona gave her back in the village was that she wasn't allowed to transform. But now that Dove has finally started coming out, Hazel was sure she would never be able to keep the crazy wolf in anymore.
She could hear her bones cracking, she could feel her skin expanding and her heart beating faster but soon, the pain subsided and she had finally shifted completely.
She opened her eyes with a satisfied look on her face as soon much power surges in her at once but when she looked at the other wolves, she noticed them moving back while her men looked at her in shock.
“Hold on, why are they looking at me like that, and why do they look smaller than me”?
Hazel asked and Dove scoffed.
“That's because I'm a lycan wolf dummy”.
She said like it was so obvious but this was news to Hazel.
“What! The lycans don't exist anymore”.
She said but Dove sighed and answered.
“I do, we… do”.
She said and looked at the men who were looking obviously scared.
“Now, shall we have some fun”?
She asked and without waiting for an answer, she charged at them.
It was no longer a battle to win, it was now a battle to survive. They were all trying to survive Dove's vicious attacks but it turns out the wolf enjoyed tearing them limb for limbs.
Dove was as beautiful as her name, unlike her attitude, she actually looked like a pure and calm entity. She had white fur and a beautiful whitish blue eye, almost looking like she was a blind wolf but it was just her other powers showing in her eyes.
She was three times bigger than the other wolves, which gave her an upper hand but she was not just bigger, she was stronger, faster and her senses were sharper.
Dove was about to rip one of the last wolf with her hands when Miguel suddenly spoke.
“Wait”!!
He yelled and she looked down, only to see he had transformed back to human and was butt naked.
She threw the wolf to the floor and covered her eyes.
“Eww, get some clothes on”.
Dove said but removed her hand a little to look at his chest.
“Good to know you're not a slut for hot bodies".
Hazel said, catching her off guard.
Dove cleared her throat and soon shifted back. Shifting back to her human form was a lot less painful than when she shifted to Dove.
Miguel quickly used a big jacket to cover her, as she was also naked.
“Why didn't you let me kill him”?
She asked and he looked at the already injured werewolf who had shifted back to his human form.
“We need to question him. We might not get much from him, but we might get something”.
He said and she suddenly turned to him, her eyes brimming happily.
“Can I question him”?
