Chapter 45 The only danger here is her
Miguel looked at her with his brows creased.
“Why would I ever agree to that? You looked like you would rip us apart when you were done with them”.
He said and she rolled her eyes.
“Oh please, stop being dramatic”.
She said but he shook his head.
“You're too dangerous Hazel, I can't let you kill him”.
He said but she looked at him for a few seconds and busted into laughter. The men were looking at her, surprised as this was their first impression of their Luna.
Of course, most of them were impressed as she showed she wasn't just a Luna by name, but also a strong Luna that could protect them.
Even though they didn't say it out, they all knew she made this fight end much sooner than it was supposed to.
Miguel had his hands on his waist as he looked at her in disbelief.
“Did I say something funny”?
He asked but she shook her head, trying to calm herself.
“I thought you said I couldn't handle it a few minutes ago.
Something about it being too dangerous and suddenly, I'm the one who's dangerous”?
She asked and he rolled his eyes.
“Well, that was before I figured you were a freaking lycan”.
He said and she scoffed.
“It doesn't change anything, I know where my loyalty lies. Plus…”
She paused and moved close to him to whisper something into his ears.
He looked at her, as a different wave of confusion flooded his head.
“Huh? How is that even possible”?
He asked
“I'm serious, it comes with my siren powers, you know… the cool one you saw earlier”.
She said but he was speechless as he just kept looking at her in shock.
“I promise, I can get something out of him if I just focus a little.
That's why I came here, I need to practice more”.
She said and he looked at her for a while before he spoke.
“One hour, that's all you get before me and my men take over”.
Hazel jumped and exclaimed ”yes”!!
Rushing towards the man, she bent towards him with a smile that made him move back in fear.
“Can we talk now”?
She asked and he swallowed hard.
While Hazel was trying to work on her powers, Kael was pacing back and forth.
“I need to go get her, it's not safe and your not letting me leave”!
He yelled, almost losing his temper.
Lucifer didn't look scared or bothered though as he just kept looking at Kael with his phone in his hand.
“Can I at least have my phone”?
He asked and Lucifer finally moved a bit close.
“Keep this up and you won't be able to protect her, Lucian, your pack, or even yourself”.
He said in a much colder tone.
“Shielding her from reaching her full potential is only going to ruin her. She won't be able to win if she isn't strong enough”.
He said but Kael shook his head.
“I'm not trying to deprive her of activating her powers, I even told her we would train together".
He said and one side of Lucifers lips raised.
“You really think that's what she needs? She needs to face real danger, real troubles Kael. Only then can she actually bring out the most in herself and probably save us all from what's coming”.
He said and Kael raised a brow.
“What is coming? And… what exactly is the golden orb”?
He asked but Lucifer shook his head.
“No one knows that. All we know is the war coming could ruin the entire world and it is definitely going to be between Hazel and Rave”.
He said and Kael let out a deep breath.
“She's fine Kael. Let her grow”.
He said and after that, he vanished.
Kael looked at his phone that Lucifer had placed on his side stood and pinched the bridge of his nose while his other hand rested on his waist.
He knew she needed to grow, to get her powers fully activated but he still couldn't help but want to protect her, to keep her safe.
He keeps hearing she has to fight wars but if he could, he would protect her with his all and make sure she didn't fight a single battle.
“I guess it's time to let you grow”.
He said before he walked towards the bed and collapsed on it.
But shortly after, he picked up his phone and dialed Miguel's line.
“I'll just confirm if she's there”.
He said and soon Miguel picked up.
“She's here alpha Kael".
He said and Kael closed his eyes as he breathe out a sigh of relief.
“Is she fine? Are there any signs of danger”?
He asked and Miguel turned to Hazel who was currently meditating with the rogue.
“Well, the only danger here is her”.
He said and Kael raised a brow.
“What are you talking about”?
He asked but just before Miguel could say anything else, he saw the rogue fidgeting.
“I'll call you back”.
He said and before Kael could stop him from hanging up, he already did.
He was about to go to them and break them up but suddenly a blue light covered them, placing them in a circle that was impenetrable no matter how hard Miguel tried to break into it.
But it didn't take long after that for Hazel to break their link herself. As soon as she removed her hand from his, he fell to the ground, stiff like a log of wood with his eyes wide opened and the blue cover fell.
Hazel stood up and Miguel rushed to the rogue.
Placing his hand on his nose, he looked at Hazel and spoke.
“He's barely breathing”.
He said but she replied nonchalantly.
“He'll survive, he's a strong one”.
She said and he stood up, standing right in front of her and looking at her seriously.
“What did you do to him”?
He asked but she smiled.
“Seeing how you can stare at me so intensely now, you really don't have feelings for me anymore”.
She said, taking him aback.
“Why are you suddenly talking about that”?
She asked and she shook her head.
“Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it at least now, I can be free around you again”.
She said and he scoffed.
“When have you not being? Stop changing the topic and tell me, what did you do”?
He asked
“I told you earlier, I can hear deepest thoughts and secrets now”.
She said and moved closer to him.
“I can tell you what you want to do right now”.
She said but he didn't seem to believe until she said her next words.
“You want to run into Dona's arms”.
