CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"SO you are telling me that I need to seduce him or her, right?" Alex asked the said question to her Uncle Emilio.

"Yes." Don Emilio's simple answer.

"And what is fucking reason why I need to do this again?" Alex asked again.

"Because I want you to make my son jealous with your presence." Don Emilio said in a clear tone.

"I am 100% sure that you are an insane father." Alex said in a sarcastic tone. "I won't be surprised if I see that habit again in Joshua in the near future."

"Well, he comes from the Carriedo clan. What do you expect?" Don Emilio asked his niece. "A full-blooded Carriedo like me is known for being crazy when in love."

Alex sighed. She was not convinced that all Carriedos would be crazy when they fall in love.

"Yeah sure, Carriedos go crazy when in love," Alex replied in a sarcastic tone.

"You will meet your match soon, Hija," said Don Emilio. "But as of this moment, you're going to seduce Kylie to annoy your cousin Joshua."

"Fine, fine, I'll do it." Alex said in a resigned tone. "Just make sure that you will compensate my job later."

"You don't have to ask me for your compensation because I will actually pay you." Don Emilio said to the lady. "Especially now that we both know it's a bit awkward for you to do because you're going to be flirting with a woman."

While the two were talking in the office, Joshua asked Kylie.

"Are you sure Alex didn't really molest you?" Joshua asked as he tailed Kylie.

"She never molested me," Kylie answered in a pissed tone. "Don't even fret about it. It’s nothing!"

"But I saw her malicious look on you!" Joshua replied.

An invisible animated vein pops on Kylie's forehead, "And do you think I'll fall for her? Hello, we're both women for your information!"

"But the situation is different in Alex's eyes." Joshua said in defense. "She sees you as a guy."

"So what? I can still brush her affections off," Kylie said in a confident tone. "I think it's normal for her to say I am a man because that's really what she sees."

"Well, I wouldn't be fretting on you if I do not know her personally. I know since we were children," Joshua said. “She randomly kisses a guy that she likes."

"Maybe that's normal because she grew up in another country." Kylie defended Alex’s reputation. "Women are more liberated abroad."

"It would be nice if that's the situation." Joshua said in a defending tone. "She casually acts like a pervert. I already know it from my experience."

"So you admit that you are also a pervert?" Kylie asked the young man in a stoic tone.

"Kylie!"

"See? You are already defending yourself when I said that you admit you are also a pervert," Kylie said to the young man.

"You don't understand me!" Said Joshua.

"Look at this picture, it is unfair for Lady Alex to be judged easily just because you said she would molest me." Kylie said to the young man. "What do you think Lady Alex would feel if she found out that I judged her right away just based on what you told me?"

Joshua just smiled at what Kylie said, "We will see. You will also know the answer to your question." He said to the lady. "I am sure you can also say I am right."

Because of Joshua's reminder, Kylie became more careful in her actions. She made sure Alex could not approach her when she really did not need it. However, even though she was good in the act of avoiding, Alex was also good at following and sticking to her. She was uncomfortable with the fact that Alex would cling to her like a jellyfish when Joshua was around. She was almost become accustomed to hiding when Joshua's young cousin was approaching. She was unaware that Don Emilio was only using his own niece to make Joshua jealous.

"Kyle, are you free tonight?" Alex was making trouble in Joshua's office again.

Joshua rolled his eyes at what Alex had asked, “He is too damn busy just to think about your question.”

"Shut up! I'm not asking you." Alex replied in a hissing tone before she turned her attention to Kylie again. "I am waiting for your answer, love."

"Like what I said earlier, Kyle is busy," Joshua said in an irritated tone. "He can't fit you into his hectic schedule."

"Maybe you're just messing up his schedule." Alex said.

"We only have the same schedule because we have the same time." Joshua replied. "You can ask my crazy old man about it"

"Whatever." Alex said in a pissed tone. "So, what's up Kyle, do you have some free time tonight?"

Kylie didn't even let the young man answer, "I'm not going anywhere tonight. Why?"

"Well, I'd love to spend some time with me. You know, bar hopping." Alex said in a confident tone. "Nobody's going to be angry, right? I mean, you are still single until now because you're stuck with my crazy cousin."

"Someone will get angry." Joshua said in a straight tone. "I'll be angry if Kyle will go out with you tonight."

Alex raised an eyebrow, "And why is that?"

"That is because Kyle is mine." Said Joshua.

"If I remember it correctly, Kyle is not a thing that you own. He has the right to accept my invitation." Smiling Alex said. "And why are you interfering in our conversation, eh? I am not asking you in the first place."

"Well, I have the right to block you because I'm courting Kyle." The young man confessed.

"What?! Are you serious?!"

"Believe it or not, your only cousin is gay." Joshua said to his bewildered cousin. "So no, he won't come with you. Go home!"

Alex just took a deep breath when Joshua told him, "I guess you will be willing to let Kyle come with me if you come too. Am I right or I am right?"

Joshua did not answer and instead stood up from his seat. Alex gave him no other choice but to go because he could not stop Alex either. The lady was too stubborn to listen to his reasoning.

"Is that a yes already?" Alex asked as her eyes shone.

"What do you think? Do not act like you gave me another choice." Joshua said in a sarcastic tone. "You're going to force Kyle to come with you no matter what happens, whether I agree or not."

"You are absolutely right about it!" Alex said in a proud tone as she turned her attention to Kylie. "So, prepare yourself tonight because you're my date."

Even before Kylie could deny what the lady said, she left Joshua's office. Joshua had no other choice but to heave out a heavy sigh before sitting down. Because of what happened, she only turned on the poor young man at that time.

"What?" Joshua asked Kylie in an innocent tone.

Kylie didn't answer right away and instead approached the young man so she could hit him hard. She just didn’t do that thing because Joshua saw it as an open opportunity. She was just surprised when the young man suddenly pulled her to sit on his lap.

"Do you have anything to say, Kyle?" Joshua asked the lady in an innocent but teasing tone.

Kylie gave a blank impression upon hearing that question. There was no way in hell that she would let the young man take control of her again.

"Yes, you are very much at fault in this situation," Kylie said to the young man.

Joshua immediately wrapped his hand around the girl's body before he could answer, "And what is my sin against you?" Joshua asked in an innocent tone.

"You didn't let me speak up earlier." Kylie answered in a blank tone.

"Oh, come on, I'm just protecting you." Joshua replied.

"It is not obvious." Kylie answered. "You looked like a kid that would cry as if someone had stolen your candy."

Joshua just smiled, "So you want me to prove to you that I'm just protecting you from my cousin's tentacles?"

Even before Kylie could answer, Joshua turned her closer to his lips. Kylie felt as if her brain went into a short circuit as soon as their lips touched. She didn't know if Joshua already knew that his kiss was her weakness. She could only feel the young man's smile as he kissed her.

"I guess I won't get tired of kissing you, Kylie." Joshua said to the lady as their lips parted. "You could even be my favorite snack."

Even without seeing Kylie's face, Joshua already knew that her cheek was getting hot. Well, he found it too cute when she was flustered after their shared kiss.

"Make sure you look like a man tonight huh?" Joshua immediately said to the lady. "I don't want other guys to take a good look at you when you're a woman."

"Fine, I'll do it." Kylie said in an unconvincing tone.

Later, that night….

Alex almost pouted when she saw Kylie’s masculine side. Yes, she admitted that Kylie was as handsome as Kyle but she wanted to see her feminine side. She was looking for the curves that would tell the truth about her gender.

"Who told you to dress like that? You're so wrapped up ah!" Alex immediately commented to the lady.

"Joshua just threw these to me," Kylie replied. "He said I should wear it."

Alex shook her head in amusement. She immediately took Kylie's hand and pulled her into her room.

"I'll make you beautiful tonight, Kylie." Alex says that stopped Kylie’s world at that time.
