CHAPTER TWELVE

OBVIOUSLY, Kylie was surprised when she saw that Joshua was ready when she returned to his room. She thought the young man would torture her again that morning.

“Finally! You are back! I've been waiting for you for a while!” Joshua immediately complained. "Am I really that slow in your eyes?" He asked the said lady.

"Well, Don Emilio told me to do something else so I did that first." Kylie lied. "It is about your schedule."

Kylie almost laughed when she saw Joshua’s frown. She knew he did not want to have an extra job in his schedule. Well, nothing was really added to the young man's schedule. That was her only alibi so that he would not ask her why Don Emilio called her in his study.

"Don't tell me Dad added another job in that damn schedule," Joshua said in a frowning tone. "You know I'm really annoyed with the way he filled up my own schedule.”

Kylie just chuckled in response to what Joshua said. The young man was so pissed at that time.

"Do not pout as it does not suit you,” Kylie said in a teasing tone. "You still beat me when it comes to laziness."

"I'm not lazy." Joshua answered in a defensive tone. "It's just that Dad seems to be taking away my free time to be with you."

Kylie rolled her eye in annoyance, “It's like we're not in the same office. I work for you as a butler and secretary already. Did you hear any complaints from me?”

"Of course, nothing." Joshua replied. “You don't know how to complain to me. Tell me, what was added in my schedule?”

Instead of answering his question right away, Kylie just approached Joshua. The young man was surprised when the girl suddenly gave a flick on his forehead.

"Why did you flick my forehead? What did I do?" Joshua immediately complained while rubbing his injured forehead. "It would be nice if your hand was light!"

"You are already paranoid," Kylie interrupted the young man. "Your dad only asked for your schedule today. Nothing was added.”

"That is because -"

"One more complaint and I'll make sure you will have a bleeding mouth before we leaave!" Kylie threatened the young man.

"Will you make it bleed with a kiss?" Joshua asked while wiggling both of his eyebrows in anticipation. “I guess my hunch is right! You are addicted to my kiss!”

"What if I just punch that damn mouth of yours so you will not talk for one whole day?" Kylie asked in a pissed tone. "Just hurry up and time is ticking. Your schedule is waiting for you."

Joshua was about to ask Kylie more questions when he thought that it might only make the lady moodier than usual if he continued in teasing her. He just let the lady go out of his room because he knew that Kylie was also busy with other things that need immediate action. The only thing running through his brain at that time was whether Kylie had already told Don Emilio about her true identity or not.

"UNCLE, will Joshua pick me up later?" Alex, Joshua's cousin, immediately asked Don Emilio.

“Well, even if I want my son to pick you up, I decided to not let him go. I'll just send his butler to the airport.” Don Emilio said.

“His butler? Don't tell me you're teaching him more to become lazier,” Alex asked in a sarcastic tone.

“No! Joshua has become a sensible man now because of Kylie,” said Don Emilio.

“Kylie? I thought his butler was a man,” Alex said in an amused tone.

"Well, it's a long story." Don Emilio replied. “I'll tell you everything later when you're here. Just shut that big mouth of yours and don't make any attempts on questioning her. Call her Kyle when you see her. Am I clear?”

"Clear as water from a spring." Alex said. "See you later, Uncle."

Hours passed quickly and Joshua was really working on a way to annoy Kylie but the lady was avoiding him at all cost. He was literally frustrated because he has not tasted even a single punch from her.

"Seriously, won't your fist really hit my body today?" Joshua asked the maiden in a frustrated tone.

"You're really looking for a body ache today, you're abnormal." Kylie said sarcastically to the young man. "If you're just looking for a physical connection with me, it'll be even better if you stop courting me."

"Huh?!"

"You should already know why I don't want too much physical contact from you." The expressionless Kylie said to the young man. "You're way too abusive in terms of physical contact"

"But Kylie -!" Joshua said in a whining tone.

"Court properly if you want physical contact from me." Kylie said to the young man. “And shut up! My name is still Kyle in this office.”

Before Joshua could recover from that statement, Don Emilio entered the young man's office. The old man didn't even bother to knock on the door. Why? He wanted to spoil their “sweet moment” as a couple. As expected, Kylie acted as if she was really a man in front of the old man.

"Kyle, you don't have anything to do now, do you?" Don Emilio asked the lady.

"I am already finished with the assigned work this morning, Master" Kylie replied. "I've fixed Young Master's schedule today."

“Oh, good. I'm going to ask you to do something today,” Don Emilio said. "There's nothing wrong with me borrowing him from you for a while." He asked his son.

"What do you mean, Dad?" Joshua asked.

"Alex will come home." Said Don Emilio. "And only Kyle is available at these times."

“What?! That woman is coming home?!” Joshua asked in a shocked tone. "NO WAY!"

"Well, she just called earlier this morning and she will live with us during her stay here." Don Emilio answered in a calm and teasing tone.

“Oh, come on, don't you have another driver to hire? You know - ”

"Joshua, Kyle is still working for us." Don Emilio said. "I don't see anything wrong with flirting with him but he needs to maintain his professionalism as a butler." He explained to the young man.

"But -"

"I guess you're just scared that Alex will see Kyle's handsomeness." Said Don Emilio. "There is nothing to worry because you know Alex."

"Yeah right, I already know her very well." Joshua said sarcastically. "And I don't trust her especially and she's quick to cling to handsome ones."

Don Emilio just chuckled at that statement, "Trust me, Alex won't hurt your Kyle." He said to the young man before he even turned to Kylie. "Go to the airport now and her plane will land anytime soon."

Kylie quickly complied with what the old Carriedo said. She didn't even bother to look at Joshua because she knew he would only stop her from leaving.

KYLIE did not wait for too long for the arrival of Joshua’s cousin. In fact, the plane landed after a few minutes after she got there. She immediately went to the arrival area to fetch Don Emilio’s niece. She just had a problem at that time because she did not know Alex. Don Emilio forgot to give her a picture of his niece. She was surprised when a woman suddenly approached her.

“You are Kyle Legazpi, right?” A blonde woman immediately asked her. Kylie knew that a thick English accent was present in her voice.

Kylie just nodded, "You must be Lady Alex then?"

"Come on, there is no need for you to call me a Lady." Alex said once staring intently at Kylie. "Alex is fine with me."

Kylie almost jumped when she felt Alex's sudden grip on her arm. Before she could remove her hand Alex pulled her away.

“Come on. I'm sure that Uncle is waiting for us.” Alex said in a sweet tone.

"Wait, let me carry your luggage." Kylie said as Kyle.

"I can manage this."

JOSHUA turned around again as he waited for the two women in his life. He was quite sure that Alex has already molested the one he loves. He was annoyed because his father had not told him about his cousin coming home. If he only knew that she was coming home, he would have personally gone after the said lady.

"Relax, your cousin will not bite Kyle," Don Emilio immediately reminded the young man.

"I am not convinced with your statement." Joshua responded to what his father said. "You know that she is a big -"

“Flirt? Come on, I already know that thing.” Alex said as she had just arrived. "Hi cousin."

Joshua did not respond to Alex's greeting. He quickly went to Kylie who was behind his cousin at the time. He checked Kylie's condition. Alex was stunned by the scene.

"I maybe a big flirt but I am not a pervert." Alex immediately said to the cousin. "I just don't about you who looks like your undressing Kyle in your mind"

Joshua froze as if someone dumped cold water on his head, however he was still anxious. He was not yet assured if Kylie was fine from Alex. He needed some assurance.

“Let him go, Alex. Come with me to the office, we still have some discussion to do” Don Emilio said to his niece.

"Oh, is that about what you told me this morning?" Alex asked.

"Yes."

"Well then, let's talk about that, Uncle." Alex told the old man.

Even before they left, Alex glanced at the young man who was still asking questions to his beloved, Kylie.
