Chapter 86

The room falls silent as everyone reads through the contracts. There are a few people that come up with questions for the lawyers. One of the lawyers turns around for a question to Jake.

“Alpha, they would like to make their contract so it says it will be checked every day. Is that okay?”

Jake looks up at the woman in front of the lawyer. “Are you okay?”

The woman looks down but doesn’t say anything.

“Would you come up here please?”

The woman looks at Jake but does as he asks. Sonya and Jake take their microphones off. They motion for the woman to go backstage.

“What are you going through?” Sonya asks.

“You can trust us.” Jake says.

The woman bursts into tears. “I can’t tell you Alpha. He is here and watching me.”

“Does he work here?”

The woman shakes her head.

“Okay here is what we are going to do. Have the lawyer update your contract but one of the warriors will follow you out. You just have to turn around to talk to the man in front of the warrior. We will take him and you will be taken care of.” Jake says.

The woman doesn’t say anything. She just nods her head and then starts wiping her face. Sonya gives her a face wipe and leads her back out to the stage and down the stairs to the lawyers. “We have agreed to add that clause to her contract. Please add that Mr. Michel.”

“Yes, Luna.”

‘Carlos, the woman that the Luna is with. Do you see her?’

‘Yes, Alpha.’

‘Follow her out. She is going to turn around and talk to a man. We need to grab him and take him to the dungeons. Then Sadie and Claire will take the woman for help.’

‘No problem, Alpha.’

It only takes the lawyers about 10 minutes to make the change. The woman signs both contracts and after getting her copies, she leaves the auditorium. She has the contracts recorded and then starts making her way to the front door. She turns around and sees the man coming towards her. She puts her hand up to stop him as an indication for the warrior to grab him. They do and Carlos pushes her behind him.

“How dare you touch my mate.” Carlos yells at the man before he punches him in the jaw.

He turns around to the woman and asks “Are you okay?”

She stands in a trance as she stares at Carlos. She nods and smiles. Then blushes and looks down to the ground. He steps closer to her and wraps his arms around her waist. “You are my mate. I will protect you. I promise.”

She snakes her arms around his neck and snuggles her face into his chest. “I have been waiting for you.”

“What is going on Carlos?” Jake asks as he comes out.

“Isn’t it obvious love. Carlos is her mate.” Sonya beams at the couple.

“Congratulations you too. Carlos is a good man and I promise he will take care of you. You will never have to worry about this piece of shit again.”

“The only thing I ask is that you either tell one of us or Carlos what he has been doing so we can appropriately punish him for it.”

The woman nods and rests her head on Carlos’s chest.

“Alpha, Luna. Would it be okay if I take my woman home and make sure she has everything she needs?”

“Absolutely. If she is not comfortable being alone while you are on patrols, she is welcome to stay with us warrior. We would be more than happy to have her around. What is your name hun?” Sonya asks.

“Esperanza.”

Carlos looks like he is in a daze. “That’s the most beautiful name I’ve ever heard. Let’s go home love.”

She nods her head and everyone waves their goodbyes.

Carlos pulls Esperanza into his side and kisses the top of her head as they walk out of the office.

It takes about an hour for everyone to get their contracts signed and recorded. Jake and Sonya dismisses everyone for the day after their contracts are signed.

They decide to get lunch and take it up to the girls.

After they all have lunch and get to know the girls they hang out around the pool.

Sonya is beyond happy with the peace she feels in her life right now. Jake curls up with her on her pool lounger and they take a nap.
