Chapter 85
“Thank you both.” Sonya says as they come out of the bathroom and she hugs them both. “Alright boys let’s go show this company who the boss is.”
“After you my love.” Jake says with a smile.
“Let’s do this together love.”
Jake gives Sonya his arm and she wraps hers with his and Jake leads her out of the office. The group heads towards the elevator. They head to the sixth floor to the auditorium.
They go backstage and get microphones placed before they head onto the stage. Jake grabs Sonya by the waist and kisses her. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
He grabs her hand and pulls her onto the stage followed by Greg and Jim. They all wave to the crowd as they walk to the middle of the stage. There is a long table in the middle of the stage with a black table cloth that reaches the floor and four chairs on one side facing towards the crowd.
Jake motions for Sonya to sit and adjusts her chair so she is comfortable. He kisses the top of her head and then sits next to her. They all pull their chairs closer to Sonya and Jake slips his hand onto her upper thigh under the table allowing his pinky to sit against her clit.
“Thank you all for joining us today. We wanted to give you all an update on where the company stands and what has been going on. I am sure you are all wondering where we have been and some of you do not know my Luna.
This is my Luna, Sonya. She is also my executive assistant as well, soon to be your vice president.” Jake looks to Sonya with a smile. Sonya is stunned but smiles at Jake. She squeezes his hand under the table. “I will let her talk to you shortly but we felt it would be a good idea to give you all a small update on where we have been. We had to deal with pack business and the threat has since been taken care of. We have planned some great changes for the company as a whole that, we think everyone will appreciate. I will let my Luna tell you about those changes.”
Sonya smiles and stands up from the table. She walks to the front of the stage and starts talking. “Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us today. It is an honor to be in your presence. It is true that I am the Alpha’s Luna but I don’t want you to be intimated by that. You can come to any of us if you need anything.
We will be implementing some new changes effective immediately. First, we will be having some small get to know you sessions with groups of people. We want to know who you are and in turn you get to know us as well. Second, we will reward your loyalty both to the company and to us. Which leads me to the third change.
This one is not the most pleasant but based on what we have been through the past few weeks is a necessary change. All mobile devices, computers, etc. will go through random and regular searches. You will all be required to leave any personal devices in a lock box assigned to you in the lobby before entering the elevators or stairs. Each lock box will have a master key and your key. We give you our word that we will not open the box unless there is an emergency or your loyalty faulters. And even then you will be present should it need to be opened.
We have people set up at all the exits today to have you sign your new non-disclosure contracts and device contracts. For today, these contracts are your main priority. Unfortunately, that means you will not be able to leave until you have filled both out. If you do not feel comfortable signing either, that is fine but be prepared to find a new job. Both contracts will be strictly enforced.
We apologize to be sticklers to this but we have learned the hard way in the past few weeks that we need to be vigilant in who we trust. This is not personal to any one in particular it’s for your protection and ours.”
Everyone claps as Sonya sits back down.
Jake stands up and adds, “Does anyone have questions?”
There are 2 hands that go up. Jake nods to take a microphone to them.
“Thank you Alpha and Luna. I just want to say thank you for making these changes. I know some people may not be happy about it but there are so many that are okay with them.”
Over half of the room claps and the woman sits down in her seat as she hands back the microphone.
The next question comes from a man in the back hidden in the shadows. “Can you tell us what happened to warrant these changes?”
Jake looks to Sonya and then to Greg and Jim. Sonya links ‘Don’t give specifics only necessities.’
Jake nods before saying “We had an enemy that wanted to take over the world. He used my Luna for his sick plans of world domination. I don’t want to go into specific details as they are truly sick for my Luna to relive.”
“It’s okay Love.” Sonya says as she stands up. “I should probably be the one to address that part of it. It might be good for my recovery. I was kidnapped, tortured, beaten, and raped. Which brings another point I think we need to address Alpha.”
“After you love.”
“This company will no longer condone any sexual assaults, words, actions, anything. If you are told to stop, then leave it alone. We will hold all employees to this both in and out of the office. If you are dealing with this in your personal life, you can come to any of us and we will do everything in our power to help you. You have our word.”
The whole room erupts in claps and cheers as everyone stands up.
“If you don’t want to say anything in person, send me an email and we will do everything we can.”
“There are people passing out both contracts for you. Please read through them and ask questions. We have lawyers up front here if you want to make changes to your contract or have questions. There will be notaries outside all the doors for signing and recording. We will stay here until everyone has their contracts in. Like we said before, everyone has to sign before leaving.” Jake says.
“We are even signing the contracts as well.” Sonya added.
