Chapter 175 Begging

Chapter 175 Begging
"And I am amazed that you knew yet allowed this to happen, Sufiyan. Is this the extent your vulnerability could reach?" I continued again, turning to Sufiyan.

Ah, my habit of taking risks won't end though.

"I gained what I desire. Your words cannot affect me in the least." Sufiyan chuckled dryly.

"What did you desire?" Sebastian asked, though he might have no connection but he was curious to know.

"Expansion. I am no longer restricted to Asia. Meaning you and I are no longer equals, Zaviyaar." Sufiyan smirked victoriously, causing my jaw to clench.

'That motherfucker. He would devour my brother at this rate. I must protect him at all costs before he places his claws on him.' I thought worriedly.

"Have fun with your tiny reign." I mocked, not bothering to pay attention anymore.

After the meeting, with inexplicable disappointment, anger and a thrill, everyone was going back.

I stayed for a while, pondering. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned Guru openly but there must be something done about it.

"Can I use his name now?"

"I have warned all of you already to not mention him before everyone. I lose my mind,"

"Whatever,"

"So about Guru. What do you want me to do about him? Your departure is freedom for Zoran," I asked calmly, standing beside Nathaniel who was looking out from the terrace of his building.

He flashed a dark, vile, smirk, "Release him,"

"What?" I blinked in disbelief.

"I had caged him enough. Time to give him a breath before tightening his leash again,"

Forming my lips in a thin line, not trusting his intentions.

As if stumbling the balance wasn't enough, he was throwing another trouble on us.

And that made me smirk, giving me a reason to do something entertaining in life at least.

"As you wish,"

Sighing, I knew it was not the time, probably not the best moment to but I couldn't help it.

"Also, Nathaniel,"

"Hmm?"

"Can I ask something really important now I am here? I think it is a sign from above." I began to say, averting my gaze, gaining his attention.

Turning to me, he arched an eyebrow as I gave a weak smile, worried, not sure and mostly... scared.

"Should I call-"

He replied without thinking twice, "Yes,"

"What?"

"Do what I couldn't. You have no idea how painful not trying is. It is worth giving it a shot, you won't regret it- better than using the word 'Kash,' (If),"

He was right, that 'if' would gobble me. Only if I had gone to her, if I had done this, said that.

He chuckled sadly when he saw the realization entering me. Placing his hand over my shoulder before walking away.

"Try to call, who knows destiny will listen?"

He was right. Try to call, leaving the result to fate but at least I won’t be guilty about not trying, that I didn’t reach out.

Whatever would happen, that would be the destination of my love. If they couldn’t have their love, it doesn't mean I won’t too.

Not all tales of love would end in heartbreak, right?

Let’s find out.

“Where are you going?”

Hashir asked when I was about to leave hastily to test my fate out, to know where my tale would lead.

I wanted to see…

“Somewhere important,”

My heart was booming, my mind was falling into a daze accompanied by a worried, twisted smile.

I was frightened, I was praying constantly. She brought me back to prayers.

The man I was, who stopped turning to the Almighty, in the end, I begged to have her back in all of my five prayers everyday.

And it was better for my fate, then I would definitely have her.

So to test the result of my prayers, I went to his office. Took me a heartbeat to know where his workplace was.

To my surprise, he was a businessman.

“I would like to see Mr. Ahmer Shehzad. Could you please let him know Zaviyaar Sheikh wants to meet him?” I asked the receptionist and upon hearing my name, they let me through.

Glaring at me, his arms were folded at his chest, he hated to find me here.

“What are you doing here?”

I closed the door so no one would interfere and came to him seriously.

Seeing him burned me.

“I want to see your hands,” I demanded, stopping before narrowing my eyes with disappointment and a disheartened heart

“What?”

“I want to see what your lines have that mine don’t.”

His mouth gaped, taken aback yet slowly shifting his plan to my direction, causing my lips to quiver.

“I want to see the lines of those fate which has her name written on them,”

He had what I wanted- no, needed desperately.

He had what I considered my only desire so easily with him.

I struggled, I fell, I got destroyed still she was not next to me but…

What suffering he went through TO CALL MY AALIFA ‘HIS’ WOMAN!?

To my hopeless gaze, he grabbed my collar furiously, “In the condition you left her, I found nothing but an empty shell to call a wife.”

Arching my eyebrow from confusion, he lost his breath, forcing me to stare at his hands.

“Look at my fucking hands, these are the hands that ‘don’t’ have her name.” He snarled, pushing me away.

But, those words became a source of my equanimity because I found my answers-

‘Why did those eyes that left me had tears in them? Why, after everything… I saw love for me in them?

Because they belonged to me, not someone else.

I was the main character- not ‘another’ man.’

“Is that so…? Then,”

Curling my lips upwards, with a tear rolling down as I didn’t expect to reach such a miserable point in my life but for her sake, to gain her companionship, I would do anything.

So swallowing all my pride, my position, my everything, I moved to my knees, the main reason why I locked the door as I didn’t want anyone to see me like this.

If my men saw, they would have burned this building along with Ahmer so I kept it private.

“Ahmer, I have never begged anyone on my knees but today,”

Keeping my hand lowered, I joined my hands, gritting my teeth but bore with the feeling and pleaded with him, on the verge of crying.

“I am joining my hands, I have nothing left in my life, I am returning after losing everything. I am not myself anymore.” I begged him wholeheartedly.

I was willing to do anything to have her back. I won’t gain repeated chances to have her back, that was a signal from above.

Sebastian arranging the meeting, her apology, my invitation and her tears. Everything occurred because we were meant to be.

So believing that and considering it my reality, I whispered desperately.

“Return my doll to me,”
