Chapter 174 Ace’s Meeting

Chapter 174 Ace’s Meeting
A DAY BEFORE THE DIVORCE.
ZAVIYAAR SHEIKH
'Why did those eyes that left me had tears in them?
Why, after everything... I saw love for me in them?'
Due to an urgent meeting, I was back in New York which I didn't expect. Truly, he could cross any limit and cause an uproar while I was deep in pondering.
Was this a chance from destiny?
Was that a sign from above?
"Is he seriously going to do that?"
Asad asked on the phone while he was stubbornly staying in London, refusing to come even now.
"Do you think we have an option to defy? When Sebastian couldn't then who are we?" I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Who is stopping you from creating a bloodbath? Who do you have that they will target?" He taunted me, pricking me.
"Do you not count her too?"
He scoffed, "I am done with her. She has done nothing but to devastate you."
"Convince my heart then,"
I smirked at this anger, he was infuriated at her because of me which I totally understand. I feel the same rage for Sofia too.
"What if we ask you to choose between us and her?" Asad asked out of the blue, something he shouldn't have. Chuckling at his absurd question, I gave him an honest reply.
"Then I will kill myself."
"What the-"
"You guys are my heart, my only family left but she is my soul. She revives the emotions I thought I murdered."
"Then don't come back without her. It will hurt me to find my brother alone this time," He hissed, probably trying to provoke me and go beyond my limits but he shouldn't forget that I was his brother.
He couldn't possibly manipulate me.
"We will see,"
Sighing, I cut the call, knowing the only thing that could convince me to abandon my world and rush to her was my own feelings.
But, the fact that I reached her only to find her 'not' choosing me would kill me from inside.
That dread had pulled me back.
Lighting up my cigar to clear my thoughts, my eyes fell on Sebastian who was staring into nothingness.
Bewildered, I tried to contemplate his reaction but couldn't so I decided to approach him, hitting his soft spot to piss him off.
"Hey. So did things work out between you and your woman?"
Flashing a wicked grin, I sat beside him, exhaling the smoke on his face. He usually glared but this time showed no reaction and kept staring.
"I have absolutely no idea,"
"Why? I have heard 'you' want my brother to stay. What a rare scene. Since when did you start requiring my brother's service?" I chuckled darkly, testing his patience which barely existed.
I was about to push his buttons but the moment Sufiyan came and judging from his murderous and deadly aura, I could tell death was etched on his mind at the moment.
"Sufiyan-"
"Don't you fucking dare to talk to me, Zaviyaar, you have cross the limit of blood, my hands won't hesitate now," He scowled, pointing his finger at me, creating a strict tension in the air.
"Look, this is between you and-"
Maintaining my composure because of my mother's love towards him, I placed my hand in the air but he had absolutely lost his mind.
"I said fuck off, don't talk to me unless you want me to take a drastic step,"
Rolling his eyes, he walked away, not ready to hear any explanation. Though I did not intend to provide him with either.
Yet I was worried. This fury of Sufiyan would ruin my family...
"What did you do this time?" Sebastian smirked, probably finding a way to escape his unwanted thoughts.
"I didn't do anything." I shrugged my shoulders, finishing my smoke as we both got up.
"Oh, I get it who it must be then,"
"Not my fault,"
"If he found out it was, he would devour all three of you,"
He smirked darkly, knowing what Sufiyan could possibly do if that rage continued.
"As if I don't know that," I muttered rudely, hating that fact.
"Anyways, where is our proficient actor?" I questioned, causing Sebastian to scoff and roll his eyes from disapproval.
"Tsk. Don't mention him, hearing it makes me want to murder Zariah,"
And to his mindless statement the man who had ruined our whole flow of work and underworld came, whistling his melody of death to carve his name.
The Plague Doctor.
We all placed our attention to him where he warned Sebastian dominantly.
"Try that and watch your whole lineage die,"
Showing immense disapproval, we narrowed our eyes from rage, growling his name.
"Nathaniel,"
When he came, our meeting started... that did not end well.
It was almost like declaring a war, to announce a wild battlefield where only the strongest will survive.
He ruined the peace.
"You call unbalancing our world, ruining the name of Ace, disturbing peace and alliance the 'easiest' way?" I asked, displeased at the way he put his words.
To him, the degree of doctorate he studied devilishly long ago was more important.
Losing patience, I unintentionally dug my own grave with my next words.
"What more do you want to do? Hunt down Guru-"
The second this word escaped my lips, every guard pointed their guns at me along with Nathaniel.
Fuck.
Nathaniel slammed his hand on the table, bringing a dead silence in the room. We all became serious abruptly, knowing to never bring 'that' name openly.
"Mention his name again and I would show you why this world calls me Plague Doctor, Zaviyaar, I fucking dare you."
Nathaniel threatened me, asserting his dominance in the room.
Sebastian and Sufiyan smirked at the heavy air as I glared at Nathaniel who lost his forbearance, curling my hands in a fist.
"Do you think I want to die?" I replied calmly, narrowing my eyes. I knew I took a wrong and deadly step.
"Then apologize." Nathaniel ordered.
'I couldn't make the moment I considered a chance from above to be my grave.'
I sighed, not wanting to piss him off either, "I am sorry."
Plus, I didn't want to die in a foreign land.
Humming, Nathaniel soon regained his composure, putting his gun back and taking a seat again, resting his one leg over the other while motioning his men to stop.
Huff, that was a close call.
