Chapter 90: We’ll Be Free

I called Selena. “Hey”
“Hey…”
“Uh, I am taking my complaint back”
“What? Really??”
“Yeah” I smiled.
“Oh My, thank you so much, Alicia”
“You can’t thank your sister”
She laughed. “Ah, you are so good”
“I hope my decision isn’t wrong”
“It is not. Don’t worry”
I smiled. “Fine, then”
“Yeah! I am so happy, Alicia”
“Aha, that’s good”
“Yeah…”
“I will go to the Police station in a few minutes. Don’t worry, Selena”
“Ah, thanks”
“It’s fine. So, bye”
“Byee”
The call ended and I sighed. I will just wait for those two men. I know that if Jake is searching for me, he won’t hurt me but still I should take precautions.
After some time, two men came and I decided to go to the Police station. “Will you come along?” I asked them.
“Yes, mam”
“Okay”
I went to my car. They came in two cars, one ahead of me and one behind me. They guided me via the safest way to the Police Station. Well, I think every route was safe anyway.
I reached the Police station and went inside.
“I wanna take my complaint back”
The procedure started and I came to know that Selena already paid for his bail and all that was needed was my consent.
I looked at Asher as he was released immediately. “Thank you, Alicia”
“Nevermind” I shrugged and started going. He came to me and kept a hand lightly on my shoulder.
I looked at him. “Hm?”
“You are an angel”
I couldn’t help but smile. Alistair also said the same. But I am not an angel. “I am not”
“You are. And Alistair is lucky to have you”
“Ah thanks'' I smiled. He nodded and went out.
I saw Selena was already there. She ran and hugged him. A smile played on my lips. Finally they are happy.
I saw as Nick smiled watching them from the driver’s seat of their car. They look so cute together. At least I did something good after so much wrong.
I went back to my car while I received a text from Selena. “Thanks, sis”
“Sure :)” I replied back.
I started driving to my house. It didn’t seem like I was in danger anyway.

I was at my base. My plan should work, or both of the problems will still remain as they are. If this plan works, all our problems will be solved, once and for all.
I looked forward as the leader of the Mafia came inside.
“We heard you are with Alicia”
“You are right”
“You don’t like living a good life?”
“Hear me out”

I sighed. I was quite nervous. What if he doesn’t buy my lie?
“Look, there is something we can conquer together”
“Oh, what’s it?”
“If you will like my idea, and if I show you enough proof, will you let Alicia go?”
“I’ll think”
“Nah, then”

“And this will interest you too. I will also give you some extra benefits”

“You want your Mafia to be stronger. I promise that if we take this society down, I will give all of my mafia team to you”
He clicked his tongue. “Really?”
“Yes. And you won’t get them if you kill me because they are hidden. You know only a little part of my team. You know that I am much stronger”
“Hm”
“So…”
“That’s all? What will happen to society?”
“It will be dissolved”
“Okay, I will think about it”
“Hm”
“I need all those terms written on a paper. I hate betrayals”
“I am not into them either, I only want a happy life with Alicia now”

He left and I took a deep breath. I was scared and nervous but he seemed to be convinced.
It is not like I am doing something bad. Mafias can never be eradicated. They will remain like that. But that society can die.
That will be the best deed. All those girls will be freed from that hell.
I only want him to say yes now. If he says yes, the plan would work.
I called Alicia. “He looked convinced,” I said to her.
“That’s good”
“Don’t be scared. He didn’t look like the one who’d hurt you now”
“That feels nice”
“Hm-mh”
I smiled and sighed. Everything is gonna be fine now. I am sure that he will agree and now I will be happy with Alicia.
Soon we will be free.
