Chapter 91: Long Time No See

I was happy after I got the news. I just reached my house.
If the Mafia is convinced, now I should be only worried about the Boy’s Society. But… I don’t think Jake will hurt me.
I sat down as the men guided the door. I was feeling safe but it was a little uncomfortable. I know this all is just for a few days, so I will bear with it.
The doorbell rang. I got up.
“Ma’am, he is some unknown man. We can’t let him in” they said to me as I reached the door.
“But… What's his name?”
“He says he knows you, but he won’t tell his name”
“Let me just see him”
“But mam--”
“Please”
“Okay…”
They opened the door and I looked in front. It was Jake. My brother, Jake!
“Jake” A smile formed on my lips.
“Mam, may I know who he is, because I need to inform Mr. Alistair--”
“My brother, Jake,” I said and went to him.
I hugged him and he hugged me back. “Oh, I missed you, Alicia”
“I missed you too. Let’s talk inside”
He nodded and we went inside in the main room. We sat across from each other.
“So much has changed, huh? You look so different”
“Yeah, same to you”
He laughed. “Yeah, a lot”
“I heard about what happened. So you are the prince, huh?”
He laughed again. “Yeah” then he turned serious. “You don’t think that I will--”
“I know you won’t. I trust you” I replied with a smile.
“I won’t ever break it”
I smiled more. “But there is something we need to do,” he said.
“There is something we are already doing,” I replied.
“Huh? What?”
I don’t know if I should tell him. What if he is just acting to know my plan? But… I guess I should tell him. He can help us.
“We are gonna attack the society” I said to him. “Alistair and one of the other Mafia leaders”
“Mafia? Wait-wait. Alistair. The one with you? Are you in love?”
I blushed. “Yeah”
“Woah. Great to know, Alice. You grew up”
I laughed. “I guess i did”
“So he is in the Mafia?”
“Yeah”
“How is he?”
“The definition of perfection”
“Hm-mh, I know my sister’s choice is good, so no doubt,” he grinned. “So when are you gonna attack”
“I don’t know. Are you gonna help us?”
“Help you? How?”
“Well…” I sighed. We need his help anyway. “Look, it is confirmed that we will win if society and the Mafias fight against each other. After that, you will become the king, because according to the rules, the prince becomes the king. Then you will have to dissolve the society”
“I will do that,” he smiled. “Happily”
“That’s great” I whispered and smiled.
This was the time. After so many months, I could finally get to ask about it to him. But I wonder if he knows the truth.
“You know…” I said. He looked at me. “Hm?”
“Uh… about our parents… your… parents”
He looked at me shocked. “How do you--”
“Doesn’t matter. You… You knew and you never told me”
“There was nothing you could do. You know, mom loves you so much so…”
“Hm… okay… do you know where they are?”
“No…”
I nodded. “Don’t be sad”
“I am not,” I replied.
He smiled sadly. I sighed.
I could have asked Alistair but I will ask him after this all is done with. I don’t wanna cause him trouble by this.
“So, I will help you dissolve the society. Don’t worry”
I smiled. “Thank you”
“I will go now”
“Hm” I got up and so did he.
He went out of the house and I just sat on the couch. I was happy that we are gonna be together soon, but I wanted to see my parents. I wanted to meet them.
Anyway, I waited for Alistair to return now.

I was at home with Asher. He seemed to have reformed too much. He is talking with a calm voice.
“Aren’t you two getting married already?” he asked as we sat down on the couch.
I laughed. “Uh, we should”
“Then?”
“Well, it depends on Nick,” I said and he looked at me. “Oh babe, you don’t want it to be depended on me”
I glared at him. “I can’t wait for your marriage”
“Hm-mh” we both said at the same time and then laughed.
“I am sorry to both of you” he apologised yet again.
“It is okay”
“It’s okay”
He smiled. “Thanks”
“We are thinking of that but I guess we should do it later. Like, Alistair and Alicia are in some trouble, I think. After they have sorted it out, we will celebrate and marry”
“Good idea” Nick supported me.
We both smiled. “I am glad to have you back,” I said to Asher.
“Same”
Nick got up. “Still, I will see any wedding packages till then”
“Uh but--” I stopped him. “What's the rush”
“I can’t wait” he smirked and went out, leaving me red.
I turned to Asher.
“So how are you?”
“Great” he smirked too.
“Ah, are you on his side?”
“Completely”
“Uh!”
He got up and grinned. Then he went to his room.
I just hope everything will get well soon and then we will marry. I just wanna live happily with Nick.
