Chapter 90 90
"Liam, what are you doing? He's someone I'm working with." She muttered and his legs halted as he turned to her.
"What?"
At that time, Samantha walked back into the place and Alexa sighed, "That's his girlfriend." She muttered.
"I didn't know about that. I thought he was...."
"We'll talk about this later." She glared at him and wrenched her hand out of his grip, going back to seat. A smile appeared on her face as she stared at Samantha and Liam bit his lips. He had fvcked up.
Eugene waved at him to get back to the meeting he'd abruptly left and he did so quickly, pale in embarrassment. However, on getting there, he changed his composure to his perfect Liam Jordans manner.
"Disney world." Jade rushed into the living room with the remote in her hand.
"Common, Jade. Not that again." Jace groaned in annoyance. He'd been watching Disney for over an hour now and he was getting tired. He just didn't fancy cartoons as much as Jade did.
His eyes moved to the dining table and he walked towards it, "Aunt Cassy, are you alright? You look exhausted." He touched her and she immediately sat up, releasing a breath. Her mind was made up.
"Can you guys stay here by yourselves? Alexa would be home in an hour so don't mess up. Please, pretty please." She picked her bag, rushing out of the door, just to bump into Louisa by the way.
"Oh, thank goodness." She gasped and kept on running till she got to her car.
She turned the engine on and let it raor for some seconds while she typed on her phone,
I'm in danger. Help!!!
Sent. The moment, she pressed sent, it showed two marks and she smirked, driving out of the compound.
On the road, she took a turn, noticing the black sports car that seemed to follow her wherever she bent to and finally she arrived at the beach where was her stop. She released a heavy breath as fresh air hit her face, flying her hair to the side.
He could stay in the car or he could come out. It was tow options until she added one. She went added to knock on the window. He winded down.
"Are you playing tricks on me, Cassidy?" He asked, immediately, breathlessly.
"It takes half an hour to get here. You didn't even waste time. I also found out you are tracking me, isn't it?" She said.
He gritted his teeth about to wind up the window but she placed her hand inside, unlocking the door before opening it wide.
"You act so mature but you are really shallow inside, aren't you?" She said, forcing it open.
"Can't you see I'm not the right person for you? Don't try to force us to work."
"I'm blind." She said harshly, "I don't think I really want to know if you are the right person for me or not. I have..... been very very reckless about my life and Alexa had helped me watched it. She advised every damn single time and it works. If she is saying you are the best for me, then I'm going to follow her words." She said, trying to keep her eyes and head clear. She was free but she had never been someone who had to force a guy to talk to her. Yet, she was doing it now. Because she wanted him. Because she wanted him to be hers.
"Cassi..."
"Whatever choice it is you are going to make, it better not be leaving me behind. Cos I would never accept that." She said.
Sam licked his lips, "I can't. I have my sister to take care of. I have a family business to regain. I have a lot of things."
"I thought you were someone who would manage time to fix me in." She said, her eyes glassy.
"No, Cassidy. I'm not."
Her hand fell from the door as she stared at him. He looked at her right back in the eyes and she knew, she had really made a fvcking mistake by coming to him. By running to him. By trying to make this work. It was going to be her first and last time to ever try.
She sniffed lightly as she turned to leave and she heard the door close. He was going to leave. She wasn't going to turn. He could go for all she cared.
She felt a hand suddenly grab her and swung her around. She hit his chest hardly in a tight hug as he wrapped his huge arms around her small body.
"You don't seem to understand, Cassidy." He muttered slowly, "I could never make out time for other things if I were with you." He whispered, pulling her back.
"I have no plans on taking the company, Cassy. So if you just wait, so I could clear things down-"
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down to kiss her. He bent willingly for her, knowing her own heels were up to meet his lips.
His arm possessively tightened on her waist, the other hand going to her hair as they kissed deeply. She pulled away after a moment and stared at him,
"I guess you could have just said that." She whispered.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for messing up your best friend's life and coming to you without exposing myself." He said.
"It's fine now. It's okay." She muttered.
"I.... think about you all the time and I can't simply get you out of my head. I think I'm crazily in love with you." He said, "I could never let you go."
"I won't let you go either. If you need time, then take it. I'll be right here for as long as you want." She said.
"I... promise, Cassy." He held her hand, his eyes reddening, "I won't keep you waiting for too long." He said and she nodded, her head bobbing as his hand slowly left hers.
