Chapter 69 69
Alexandra took a deep breath as she got into her room, sitting on the bed. Stella's last words replayed in her brains. She knew she shouldn't think about it but it couldn't stop getting in. She couldn't handle someone else betraying her. She sighed deeply, as she curled on the bed, falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Jade and Jace rushed into the room while Alexa still slept, looking very exhausted. She hadn't even changed from her wear last night.
Jade pursed her lips, staring at Alexa carefully. She looked at Jace who nodded his head once and they hit each other's palms before walking out of the room.
Jade tapped her feet impatiently as she waited for Jace to pay off the cab man.
"Are you little kids sure that this is where you are going? Instead of school?" The driver asked and shook his hand, holding the cash in it.
"We come here everyday. We know our way." He replied in his small baby voice. The driver shook his head uncomfortably but still collected his payment and left. He just hoped they won't be in trouble.
"It's as massive as mom's." Jade said when Jace got to her, referring to the building.
"You are right." He muttered as he stared at the name tab that read the building's identity, SH Apparels.
"Now let's go teach that lady some manners." Jade said and immediately walked into the company, Jace going behind her.
The security guards at the ID pass immediately crossed them, blocking the kids front.
Jade sized him up with her eyes as she furrowed her brows, "We are here for business." She said in her mother's voice.
"Who are you little kids?" The guard bent down to their level, "This place is not a playground. It's a company. Do you think you can come and go anyhow here?"
"Come and go?" Jade asked, fanning her face, "Have you ever seen us here? We are here for strictly business." She snapped and the guard sighed.
"I know little kids like you who are willing to do anything to get into a fancy company." The guard said and touched Jade's uniform.
"Besides, aren't you going to school?" He asked.
"Don't touch my sister." Jace stepped into Jace's front, pushing the way out of their way. Startled and not expecting it, the man fell on his butt in shock.
Jade almost laughed, a snort coming out from her throat. She placed a hand over her mouth.
"I've been so calm with you that you have to push me huh!?" The guard raised his hand to slap Jade but someone forcefully held it tight. He tried moving it but he couldn't and he turned, his eyes widening in shock.
"Mr Sam?" He gasped, his hands falling down to his side.
"You were about to bully the kids?" Sam asked, a frown on his face.
"Of course not. I was just planning to send them their way." The guard chuckled nervously.
"Why would you do that? The kids are too adorable for you to shout at them."
While Jade smiled at his words, Jace frowned. He was a man and not to be called adorable. Those were words for cute girls.
"Kids?" Sam bent down, belittling Jace more. Jace stood straight in an attempt to look strong. That amused Sam, now he sees why Cassidy loved the kids. They were cute little children.
He didn't like children that much, they annoyed him but if Cassidy's does a lot, he should start learning, shouldn't he? Besides, these were Alexandra's kids. Taking care of them were some form of atonement on his part. He didn't think that mattered but he wished it could. At least, for Cassidy not to hate him too much.
"Who are you guys looking for?"
"Stella Hills." Jace replied smartly without blinking and Sam furrowed his brows. What does these children have to do with his sister? If it was what he was thinking, jow could he not let them in? Everyone deserves an amusement once in a while and someone to keep them in check.
"I know her office, do you want me to take you there?" Sam proposed and the kids glanced at each other.
"Let's go." Jade said and Jace nodded.
Sam smiled as he stood up, glancing at the guard.
He patted him on his shoulders slowly, "Don't bother coming to work tomorrow. Drop your ID by the end of the day cos you are fired." He smirked and walked away.
Jade brought her tongue out at the man as they followed Sam.
The door opened and Stella's eyes moved to it, as Sam and the kids walked in.
"You have special visitors." Sam announced, a cunning smirk on his face and Stella furrowed her brows.
"Aren't these Alexa's little rats?" She asked in disgust.
"They are kids." Sam emphasized and Stella scoffed.
"Not like I care. Get them out of my office before I throw them out." She hissed.
"We aren't planning on staying for long either." Jace stepped forward folding his arms and Jade did the same in a defiant pose.
"You have been giving our mom a hard time and we are here to tell you to stop."
"Does your mom know that you are here and not in school?" Stella shook her head.
"She doesn't have to know. No one does. We understand that it would be very embarrassing for you." Jade said.
"Our mom keeps on having sleepless night and tired faces and some days she isn't even able to come home at night due to stress." Jace added.
"Did Alexa tell you guys I caused that!?" Stella snapped.
"No. Aunt Cassy did." Sam bit his lips tightly when he heard the kids word.
"By the way, we also helped our mommy to find out that you caused her goods to sink in water before. You had better control your attitude before something goes wrong. Stop bothering mom! Good bye." Jade flaunted her hair and pulled Jace out when she thought she had said it all.
Sam couldn't hold his laughter as he chuckled, his body shaking from the impact. Stella gritted her teeth hard, fisting her hands tight as she stared at the door.
"They'll regret coming here, those little nitwits." She muttered.
"They won't, Stella. You would do them no shit." Sam said warningly and walked out of the office too, banging the door behind him.
"Arrghhh! " Stella screamed in annoyance, throwing the file she was working on away.
