Chapter 68 68
“Hey, let go of me!” Alexa shot as she pulled her hand away from Liam's hand. He was gripping it tight.
“I'm sorry.” He muttered, realizing that. She sighed, twitching her lips.
“Thanks for that.” She said calmly. “I wouldn't have known what to do if you hadn't helped me.” She muttered.
“Scream for help.” He said.
“Who would come?” She scoffed loudly.
“I will. I will come whenever you need help, no matter what.” He said and she pressed her lips tight together, staring at him blankly.
“Why did you dance with Ryder when you hate him so much?” He asked and she shrugged lightly.
“It was the best way to talk. Besides, I don't hate him so much.” She said and he raised his brow.
“The level of how much hate depends on the level of how much love you've had for the person before.” She explained and he smirked.
“You've hated me for five years.” He said and she blinked, biting her lower lips.
“Why did you ask?” She changed the topic not wishing to dwell on her own emotions.
“I hated it. Seeing you dance with him.” He confessed plainly and she tightened her lips to stop a smile.
“But you also danced with another lady. It's a fair bargain if you ask me.”
“Did you dance with him on purpose?” He asked.
“What if?” She shrugged, “He wanted to talk and I wanted to dance. Besides, he dances well.” She said and Liam frowned.
“I also dance well.” He said and she folded her lips together, but a giggle still escaped.
“Whatever.” She said, hitting her legs on the ground as silence ensued between them.
He moved beside her and when she turned, Liam was fvcking on his knees. The great Liam Jordans on his knees for a woman, she hadn't seen that before. She wanted to take a picture.
“I'm sorry, Alexandra.” He said.
Her heart beat increased significantly, she could hear it pound in her ears, she could feel it in her skin, jr eyes could see it.
“Please, Alexandra. Please. Forgive me.” He pleaded. She looked downwards, her lips dry, not knowing what to say or do. Her fingers fiddled with each other.
“Fine. Just…get up.” She said.
“I can't. Till you say the word. I don't mind being on my knees for as long as that.” He said and she bit her lips.
Some people were starting to come out. Some people were starting to take pictures. She expected he would get up but he didn't, not when a lot of pictures were being taken. He stayed on his knees, waiting for her patiently.
“You don't mind being the gossip of the news this week?” She asked.
“I don't. If that means I earned your forgiveness.” He said.
She sighed, “You can make me forgive you, Liam. But you might not be able to win me back.” She muttered.
“Doesn't matter. Leave that to me.” He reassured her and she gulped done the hardness in her throat.
“Fine then, I forgive you.” She said.
He stared at her seriously and she frowned, “Didn't you hear that or did you want me to take it back?” She shot and he immediately got up from his knees,
“No.” He replied and she smiled slowly.
“Fine then.” She said and walked past him, about to leave. He held her hand.
“The lady I danced with us a private investigator. I get information through her.” He said and she shrugged, secretly hiding her smile.
“Okay.” She pulled her hand away from him and walked graciously back to the parking lot. Her happiness however was short lived when Cassidy stepped into her front, blocking her.
Without even wasting a second, Alexa raised her hand and slapped the girl across her face. Her hair fell over it and when she looked back up, Alexandra's prints were all over her.
“How dare you show your face here?” She asked, “in front of me.”
“Are you -”
Alexandra raised her hand, cutting her short. “Don't you dare say a word right now. Just for you to know, girl. I will always be better than you over pampered spoilt brat. You don't know how the world works when dealing with evil people, do you?”
“This right here, is the last thing you'll ever do. So don't try crossing new again if you love yourself.” Alexa warned as she opened her car door when she sighted Doreen walking towards them.
Stella smirked, “One of your most trusted people are already working against you. I'm guessing you don't know that.” She said and sashayed off, leaving Alexandra worried.
She looked at Doreen and Doreen smiled at her as she got to the car, “Did she do anything smart again?”
“No, I put her in her rightful position.” Alexa smirked.
