Chapter 11 Forced Kiss
Olivia's reaction made Luca angrier by the second. He sneered, "What, did I hit the nail on the head? You two were together all day, coming back so late. What were you doing? Did you go to a hotel or something…?"
Slap!
Before he could finish, a sharp slap landed on his face.
Olivia had put all her strength into that slap. She glared at Luca, her palm stinging with pain, tears welling up in her eyes, but refusing to fall. Pointing at the door, she shouted, "Luca, get out! Get out now!"
Jason knocked on the door from outside. "Olivia, are you okay? What's going on in there? Luca, don't you dare hurt her! Open the door!"
Luca stared hard at Olivia, his face stinging from the slap. Hearing her tell him to leave only fueled his anger. His eyes burned with a terrifying rage. Instead of backing off, he grabbed the back of her head with one hand, gripped her soft waist with the other, pulled her close, and kissed her forcefully.
"You—mmph!"
Olivia's words were cut off by the kiss, leaving her completely stunned.
Luca sucked on her lips, forcefully pushing past her teeth, his strong tongue invading her mouth.
Olivia couldn't breathe and started struggling wildly, her hands pushing against Luca's hard, solid chest, desperate to break free. "Let go of me! You jerk, Luca, let go!"
Her words came out in broken gasps as she struggled, her back hitting the door with a loud thud.
"Olivia, what's wrong? Luca, open the door! What are you doing to her?" Jason pounded on the door even harder, sounding more urgent and worried.
Luca pulled Olivia tighter into his arms, a wave of possessiveness surging through him.
She was still his wife. He could do whatever he wanted to her!
Luca gripped her chin, tasting every part of her mouth until he noticed she might be running out of air. Her pushes grew weaker, and only then did he flick on the living room light.
The room lit up instantly, as bright as day.
Luca looked down and froze.
Olivia's collar was open, her body pressed against him. Her lips were swollen, tears lingered in the corners of her eyes, and she looked pitiful, like he'd completely bullied her.
Luca's heart inexplicably trembled.
Outside, Jason's voice turned desperate. "Luca! If you don't open this door, I'm calling the police!"
As soon as he said that, the door swung open. Luca, still holding Olivia, stared at Jason coldly, a hint of provocation in his eyes. "What's the problem? I'm just being intimate with my wife. Do you have something so urgent that you need to interrupt us?"
Olivia's vision blurred, her head spinning.
The kiss had left her breathless, her mind buzzing. Hearing Luca's words now, she felt a mix of irony and disgust.
But looking at Jason in front of her, she didn't have time to dwell on that feeling.
Right now, her biggest fear was that Luca would take his anger out on Jason and do something uncontrollable. The last guy who crossed Luca ended up with a broken leg.
Olivia quickly pushed Luca away. "Jason, I'm fine. Please, just go. I'm begging you!" Her voice trembled with fear, her eyes pleading.
Jason clenched his fists, his heart aching, but he felt helpless. Taking a deep breath, he reminded himself that Olivia and Luca were still married.
Their personal matters weren't something an outsider like him could interfere with. Getting involved might only make things worse for Olivia.
Swallowing his anxiety, Jason warned Luca, "Olivia is a patient who needs rest. As her doctor and friend, I have every right to care about her! If you hurt her or force her into anything again, I won't stand by and do nothing!"
Luca smirked, wrapping his arm around Olivia's waist. Under Jason's gaze, he deliberately slid his fingertips under her clothes, pinching the skin at her waist. "This is our family business. An outsider like you has so say in it!"
The heat of his hand on her skin made Olivia shiver. She snapped in a low voice, "Luca!"
Luca turned his head, locking eyes with her in a tense stare.
A few seconds later, Jason spoke up, frustrated. "Olivia, take care of yourself. I'll come see you tomorrow."
He knew Olivia was already in a tough spot. If he pushed further, she'd be the one to suffer.
Regaining his calm, Jason gave Luca one last warning before stepping away. "Olivia's health can't handle your nonsense. Show her some respect!"
The sound of the car faded, leaving an eerie silence outside.
Luca let go of Olivia, grabbing her chin forcefully and making her look up at him. "Tomorrow? You've already made plans to meet him tomorrow?"
Olivia shook off his hand, her voice icy. "He's my doctor. I'm going for treatment. What, you can go on dates with your lover Windy, but I'm not allowed to have my own social life? Luca, you're way too controlling!"
Luca was furious. "Starting today, you're not allowed to see him again!"
"On what grounds?" Olivia shot back. "Don't think too highly of yourself, Luca. Once the divorce papers are signed, we're strangers. You won't have any say over me. And even if you control me today, can you do it every single day?"
Luca was at a loss for words, while Olivia didn't back down. For the first time, he felt like he couldn't handle her. "You've got quite a sharp tongue. I can't argue with you. Fine, I won't say anything." With that, Luca sat down on the couch.
"What are you doing? Get out of my house! You're not welcome here!" Olivia yelled in disbelief.
Luca leaned back on the couch, rubbing his forehead. "Why should I leave? I don't feel safe leaving my wife here alone. I have a duty to stay and protect you."
Olivia almost laughed. When he'd left her alone at home before, out flirting and dating Windy, why hadn't he worried about her safety then?
She didn't want to argue anymore.
She was exhausted. It had been a long, draining day, and her body felt awful. Like Jason said, she couldn't afford to neglect her health.
"Whatever," Olivia muttered, heading straight to the bathroom.
She locked the door and took a shower.
Luca sat on the couch, irritably tugging at his collar. Hearing the sound of running water from the bathroom, his gaze grew darker.
He didn't know why he'd lost control and kissed Olivia, or why he felt the urge to stay. Before this, let alone kissing, they could barely sit together for a proper meal.
In that moment of kissing her, he just wanted to stop her from saying hurtful things, wanted her to stop caring about the guy knocking at the door, and focus on him instead.
After about ten minutes, the bathroom door opened.
Luca snapped out of his thoughts. When he looked up, his eyes were instantly drawn to her.
Olivia was wearing a lace nightgown, her hair still damp.
The soft fabric clung to her slender figure, the neckline revealing her delicate collarbone, giving off an oddly alluring vibe.
Luca couldn't help but glance at the subtle curves beneath her neckline. A strange heat stirred in him, and his voice came out hoarse. "Why didn't you dry your hair?"
Olivia ignored him, grabbing a dry towel to wipe her hair as she walked toward the bedroom. The hem of her nightgown swayed, faintly outlining her full hips.
The heat inside Luca flared up again.
He stood up and strode toward Olivia.
