"Is Mr. Campbell okay?" Linda anxiously asked, seeing Jacob passed out.

"He's fine. He'll wake up in thirty minutes," Nelson replied.

"Then help Mr. Campbell to the bedroom." With that, Linda turned and opened the door while Nelson lifted the unconscious Jacob and followed her.

"Put me down!"

Raymond looked at Sophia in his arms. Just as he was about to leave, Sophia suddenly spoke up, her voice trembling with anger.

Raymond ignored her and walked straight into the elevator.

Sophia lay in his arms, weak and sore all over due to a high fever. However, the increasing rise and fall of her chest, along with her increasingly erratic breathing, indicated just how unstable her emotions were at the moment.

In the next second, she suddenly opened her eyes and tried to push away the man holding her.

But with her current strength, she couldn't make any impact at all.

Raymond casually glanced at the woman in his arms, paying no attention.

"Smack!"

Right as Raymond averted his gaze, Sophia slapped him across the face.

The slap wasn't heavy, but in the confined space of the elevator, the sound was loud.

He looked once again at the person in his arms, unable to suppress the darkening of his face.

"Raymond, I beg you, please let me go," she pleaded, trembling as she looked up at him. Tears welled up in her eyes without warning and streamed down her face.

She wasn't scared. She was just disgusted.

Her life shouldn't be like this.

She had never thought about fighting or competing with other women for a man, let alone wasting any time getting entangled in their conflicts.

Raymond gazed at Sophia, who was crying and begging. His handsome brow furrowed tightly, but he didn't say a word.

Soon, the elevator reached the underground garage, and the other bodyguards immediately respectfully opened the car door for them.

Raymond carried Sophia into the car.

The car door closed, and the car drove towards the hospital.

At the hospital, the doctor conducted a detailed physical examination on Sophia.

Multiple external and internal factors caused her high fever.

Furthermore, there was a blood clot with a diameter of seven millimeters in her head, and the examination report showed that the blood clot was slowly moving.

If the blood clot weren't eliminated, continued movement would lead to serious consequences.

"How serious is it?" Raymond asked in a deep voice, looking at the shadow displayed on the MRI.

"It could lead to aphasia, blindness, memory loss, and it's also possible for paralysis of the lower body," the doctor replied after careful consideration, looking at Raymond.

Listening, Raymond furrowed his brow even tighter. "How did this blood clot form? How long has it been forming?"

"It was caused by severe impact, and it has probably been forming for three to four years."

"What are the ways to eliminate the blood clot?" Raymond continued to inquire.

"Conservative treatment or craniotomy." The doctor hesitated while looking at Raymond.

"Please, tell me!"

"But the risk of a craniotomy is significant because of the unique position of the blood clot. During the surgery, it is highly possible to damage other brain cells. If other brain cells are damaged, it will cause more serious harm to her," the doctor answered cautiously.

Raymond nodded with grave seriousness before posing his question, "Given the rate at which the blood clot is progressing, how much time do we have before it precipitates the scenario you've outlined?"

"Between six months to a year, at most," came the reply.

Six months to a year.

Raymond returned to the hospital room and looked at Sophia, who was already asleep due to the combined effects of high fever and medication. Echoing in his ears were the conversations between him and the doctor.

Four to three years ago, a severe impact occurred.

Three to four years ago.

That year happened to be when his brother had an accident and passed away, and Sophia also had a serious illness overseas.

During that time, her mother passed away, and she was entrusted to the care of the Campbells and stayed abroad for a long time for her studies.

That year, Sophia was in Willowbrook. She had just graduated from graduate school and was preparing to go home and marry his older brother.

What exactly happened to Sophia in Willowbrook that year?

"Nelson."

"Boss."

"I want to know everything that happened to Sophia in the year before she returned home," Raymond instructed Nelson, looking at Sophia on the hospital bed.

She used to be Scott's fiancée, and her heart and eyes were only on Scott. He always warned himself not to approach her and not to fall in love with her.

But now, she was his wife, and there was nothing he couldn't do.

"Everything? All the details and life trajectory of Madam during her one-year stay in Willowbrook?" Nelson confirmed, looking at Raymond.

"Yes."

"Alright." Nelson nodded respectfully, "I'll arrange for someone to investigate right away."

With that, he immediately turned and left.
