Chapter 15 Sleeping in the Same Bed as Michael

“Am I hearing this right?”

Jennifer was so shocked that she almost jumped out of bed. She was going to share a bed with Michael?

Even though there was William between them, it was inappropriate.

Apart from that accident years ago, she hadn't been this close to a man before.

What should she do now?

Fortunately, Michael rejected without even lifting his head, "You should sleep alone."

His disagreeing worked out perfectly.

Jennifer thought to herself.

But William insisted, "Daddy, come up here, or I won't sleep."

"I want to be with you and her together. That's how it feels like a family.”

…

William's firm tone carried a hint of sadness, he had not yet experienced the feeling of sleeping together as a family.

Michael could understand William's intention, and he sighed helplessly at William's absent-minded eyes, and walked to the other side of the bed, lying down and saying, "Can you sleep now?"

"Yes."

Just this one word was enough to show William's happiness.

On the other side, Jennifer's heart was pounding when Michael leaned over the bed.

She didn't know why she was so tense, her body stiff, not daring to make any sudden movements in breathing.

It must be because the aura of Michael was too overwhelming.

Jennifer kept calming herself, and eventually, she didn't know when she fell asleep.

The next day when she woke up, William was still sleeping peacefully.

Michael was already sitting on the sofa dealing with documents, and when he saw Jennifer getting up indifferently, he motioned for her to come over.

Jennifer hurried over, "Mr. Whitfield..."

Before she could finish her sentence, a black card was thrown into her arms.

"This is your reward from yesterday, and you can leave now."

Jennifer furrowed her brows and handed the card back, "I don't need the reward. As long as William is healthy, I’ll relieved."

"I don't like owing anyone."

Michael's tone carried a hint of warning.

Jennifer understood that he didn't want any relationship with her.

However, she didn't dare to spend the black card given to her.

In the end, under the oppressive gaze of Michael, she had to put away the black card. She said, "Thank you, Mr. Whitfield. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving now. Please say goodbye to William for me."

With that, she turned and left, in a hurry to make it to her interview on time.

Jennifer took a bus and traveled a few miles to reach the employer's location.

This was the famous luxurious villa area in Silverdale, with pleasant and fresh air all around. Each villa was exquisitely designed, resembling a celestial abode. It was evident that only extraordinary people could live here.

Jennifer reminded herself to be cautious, and politely knocked on the door and asked, "Hello, I am the home tutor here for a trial."

"Please wait."

The maid went to report to the lady of the house, "Madam, the home tutor here for the trial has arrived."

"Let her in."

Jessica was sitting on the sofa, leisurely and arrogantly sipping coffee.

She had instructed all her servants to address her as "madam," to emphasize her status.

"Yes."

The servant nodded respectfully, then went out to bring Jennifer in.

Jennifer lowered her gaze slightly as she entered the living room, politely saying, "Hello, I am Jennifer."

After the self-introduction, there was a moment of silence in the air.

"Jennifer?"

Upon hearing this familiar and unforgettable voice, Jennifer suddenly raised her head.

Jessica!

Jessica was as pretty as before, but no matter how beautiful her appearance, it couldn't conceal her demon-like heart.

The past hatred was vivid in her mind, and Jennifer's politeness instantly disappeared, "Jessica, long time no see!"
