Chapter 19 — The Final Reunion
"Everything needs to be according to the plan, mistakes will not be tolerated."
Alex announced sternly before getting inside the car, followed by Jaden and Thomas.
Jeremy was already headed to the destination to set up his sniper rifle and scopes as he was the best sniper in the gang.
"The enemy side might've already sniffed out our plan will Jeremy be alright on his own." Thomas stated worried, looking outside of the window.
"As airhead as he may be, but no ones as him when it comes to infiltration, snooping around and sniping."
Alex reassured him.
Soon they reached the city of slumps, the city called Estrell. Estrell was renowned as the base of the hooligans, local gangs and back door for smuggling and black market.
"It's still the same as ever, this sure brings back memories." Jaden said, relieving the old memories.
"It sure does." Thomas added, gearing himself up.
"Everyone get in your position, we will be blasting our way in. Remember our main target is Austin and Austin alone."
All of them got out of their respective vehicles. They headed towards the big run-down building, which was used as a storage in the past, it was located at the back of the city and could be seen from anywhere in the city.
Just like Thomas' prediction the other side had already gotten wind about Alex's plan. As soon as they banged the door open, a whole army was waiting for them.
The sound of guns and the smell of gunpowder filled the room. The scene that was unfolding was a sight to behold.
The pool of blood and its metallic smell was enough to make anyone get weak on their knees and throw up, but the one Alex wanted to see bleeding was not still in sight.
"Alex, you go and search for him. We can handle it here."
Jaden shouted through the sounds of open firing that was going on.
"On my way!"
He replied, sneaking outside of the room.
*Bang*
He shot down anyone who got on his way.
He had searched almost everywhere, every nook and cranny but Austin was not there.
"Did that sly fox run away?"
*Bang* A bullet passed through, barely grazing his skin.
"Still bad at shooting huh?" Alex smirked once he realised who it was.
"Shut up! Nobody needs your aiming lessons." Austin growled.
"Come on, you are going to meet your dad soon. Why so salty?"
The latter clenched his jaw but soon smirked when a thought crossed his mind.
"How about I send you to that friend of yours? Heard that he is still in a coma." He chuckled.
"Oh no you don't!"
The gun shots filled the room again, both of them ducked down and got behind something, both of them dead serious to get the other one killed.
Finally, their long play of exchanging bullets ended when it was interrupted by the groan of Austin.
The gun fell from his hands, Alex saw this as a chance and went out from the back of a ply he was hiding from.
He pointed the gun towards Austin's forehead.
"So, who is sending whom where?" He smirked, looking at the frustrated look on his enemy's face.
"Don't feel happy, you will die the worst death." Austin called out to him, with an evil smirk displayed on his face.
Alex chuckled in a mocking tone.
"Worry about yourself and the one behind my back-pointing his gun is as good as dead."
As soon as those words dropped off Alex's mouth, the person who was pointing the gun at Alex dropped dead on the ground.
"That is what I call a good shot." Jeremy praised himself, announcing it through the microphone, licking his thumb.
"Well, you are useful sometimes." Thomas and Jaden chuckled at his childish behaviour.
Alex smirked looking at the frightful expression on Austin's face, satisfied with the careful gulp he took, scared.
"Bring in the tools and the rope."
The gang members followed as their leader ordered and brought the rope.
"Before tying him up, beat him to a pulp—double the pain Edi had gone through."
Alex kicked Austin's face, making him bleed from his mouth.
After giving him a good beating, they dragged him and tied him into a chair.
Alex pulled Austin's head by his hair, totally satisfied with the swollen beat up look on his face. He chuckled but soon it turned into a sinister laugh.
"How about I cut off your tongue before sending you? But you won't be able to cry to your dad, if I do that now, will you?"
He took his time to think for a while.
"But I need to break these hands of yours for laying them in what's mine not once but twice."
He took out a hammer and slammed it into the latter's hands.
"Argh." Austin let out a painful groan.
"Don't—"
*bang*
"Argh"
*bang*
"Stop it… you son of a—"
The sound of cracking bones, Austin's excruciating groans and agonizing cries filled the room, but Alex didn't stop until it was bleeding and came back and blue.
"That's enough, we need to leave this place soon before the sun comes out." Jeremy scouted the area with his binoculars from the top of the building he was on.
“Tsk, tsk,” Alex said at his remarks, annoyed his happy session was ruined.
"Don't 'tsk' at me you ungrateful brat!"
Jeremy was quick to retort.
"Fine. Fine." Alex raised his hands up in the sky.
"You think you will escape. You will have the worst death of all." Austin spat the blood from his mouth, making Alex chortle.
"As I said, worry about yourself not me."
"Bring gasoline, let's finish this up."
"Pour it all over this building." Thomas shouted.
Alex lit a cigarette and watched Austin struggling to break free.
"We are done." Jaden informed Alex. He grabbed Austin's face one last time and with a smirk on his face.
"Make sure to enjoy hell."
He threw his cig in Austin's face; its heat made the gasoline catch fire.
The agonising cry was heard one last time before Alex exited the slowly burning building.
The next day, the news about fire was all over the place but it was dismissed as the carelessness from the local gangs as there was nothing, but ashes left acting as it's evidence.
And just like that, Alex finally succeeded in sending Austin off from this world.
