Chapter 21

The mess created from the fight between Alex and Austin was finally settled and the election was finally over with the favour on Alex's party’s side.

Time was passing at its own pace and five months had already passed since Eva left Naestelle. Alex totally renovated his rooms. Now every wall, thing and corner of his room contained Eva's pictures and memories. He had totally become obsessed. It was as if without seeing her face once, he was unable to function but her whereabouts were still unknown to him.

Seven months had already passed by and Alex power rose up after inheriting everything from his father. So rose his ruthlessness. There was now no one to stop him. It was as if he was the ruler but a ruler who rules by spreading his fear.

Tenth month, everywhere in the city was filled with Eva's wanted poster and the reward was kept to whoever gives even a little information to her. Bring her unharmed and you will see paradise. 

One year, he had become famous and feared as the scariest and heartless criminal, mafia, gangsters. These were the names he got. He wouldn't even think twice before shooting anyone but that was what he was taught to do and raised for.

One year and 3 months, everyone in the city feared the name Alex. Speak his name without business and your death is for sure. Heck, you even have to think twice about using the word with Alex. 

One year 11 months, he still could not get over Eva. No matter how cruel, cold and heartless he seemed to others he always used to have his sweet talks with the pictures of Eva. 

'How are you?'

'I miss you. I am sorry.'

'Please, come back.'

'I was wrong.' 

These were the sentences on his regular basis. Crying himself to sleep seemed to be like a new obsession for him.
