Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Alpha Adam exited the car and was met by a group of humans who bowed to him. Not everyone knew who he was, as the werewolves made sure to keep their existence hidden and only a select few humans were allowed to know about them. However, there was something about being an alpha that set him apart. He exuded an aura of authority, making humans uneasy in his presence and sending shivers down their spines. A single glance from him could weaken even the strongest human.

"Alpha Adam, welcome to the human lands," a man said, leading Alpha Adam to a large, luxurious office with oversized chairs surrounding a massive oak table. The opulent environment made it clear that only powerful individuals were allowed in this space.

The conference room was immense, the chairs large and plush, like thrones. The table was a vast expanse of polished wood, so shiny it reflected the light from the high windows. The room was filled with an air of quiet opulence, the trappings of wealth and power evident in every detail. It was a room designed to impress and intimidate, to convey a sense of authority and grandeur.

'They did a great job,' Alpha Adam thought to himself as he surveyed the office. It was his first time visiting this office, and he was impressed by the architecture and design.

At the center of the table, a single figure commanded attention-a man whose very presence seemed to fill the entire room. He sat with perfect posture, hands folded in front of him, his expression unreadable. The others in the room encircled him, their focus fixed on him, eagerly anticipating his next action. It was unmistakable that he was the one in control, the one who held all the authority. The atmosphere in the room was heavy with tension, as if everyone was holding their breath, awaiting the man's words. Finally, he broke the silence.

"We have much to discuss," he declared, his voice echoing through the room.

Alpha Adam nodded in agreement. This was the type of human he enjoyed engaging with-formidable and direct, much like himself.

"This is where important decisions are made," the man added.

As the meeting progressed, the Alpha's demeanor remained cool and detached, his words sharp and exact. The others around the table were cautious of him, fully cognizant of the immense power he possessed.

The others present hesitated to speak, fearing the potential consequences of invoking the Alpha's displeasure. It was unmistakable that the Alpha held the reins, and the rest were proceeding cautiously around him. It was a delicate balancing act, one that required careful maneuvering.

After a moment, one of the men, an elderly individual with a gentle countenance, gathered his resolve and spoke up. "Alpha Adam, with all due respect, your wife plays a crucial role in the acquisition of the company. Do you not think her presence here is necessary?"

The Alpha's gaze narrowed at the man's words. "Do not presume to dictate what I should or should not do, Alfredo," he retorted, his voice carrying a low, menacing tone. "My wife is none of your concern."

The man appeared taken aback by the Alpha's sharp response, but he refused to be easily deterred. "With all due respect, Alpha Adam, this is not solely about your wife. It pertains to the future of the company. Your wife is an integral part of the company and her input is vital in charting the course for its future."

"I have made my decision," the Alpha declared, his tone final.

The humans were attempting to manipulate him. They demanded that he marry a woman before being allowed to acquire the company, which could potentially save their lives, and now they were fabricating additional excuses. Taking a slow, deliberate breath, he resolved not to lose his composure and create a violent, gruesome scene by bashing someone's skull against the wall.

"Your decision is not in the best interest of the company," the man asserted, his voice quivering with emotion. "By excluding your wife from the decision-making process, you are jeopardizing the human company. As a werewolf, you may act recklessly, but with a woman by your side, such rash decisions would be averted."

"Do not challenge my decision, Alfredo," the Alpha retorted, his voice cutting and authoritative. "I know what is best for the company. I no longer require your counsel. Where do I sign the contracts to legally acquire the company?"

The room fell into silence, the tension palpable. The other humans looked on in astonishment, shaking their heads slowly.

As Alpha Adam finalized the acquisition, the others present understood the unspoken boundaries and refrained from crossing them.

"Here it is," another man, not Alfredo, said as he handed the documents to Alpha Adam. Oliver carefully reviewed the papers to ensure their completeness and then nodded at the alpha. Without hesitation, Alpha Adam seized a pen and swiftly signed the documents.

"The company has been purchased for ten million dollars. All legalities and properties under the company's name now belong to you," Alfredo announced. He approached Alpha Adam and extended a handshake. As their hands met, Alpha Adam's firm grip sent shivers throughout Alfredo's body. Without uttering another word, Alpha Adam exited the room, leaving a sense of unease in his wake.

"What's next, Alpha Adam?" Oliver inquired as they drove back to his pack.

"Wait and see," Alpha Adam replied, casting a smirk that rattled Oliver to the core. Oliver turned to glance at Orion, who mirrored his confusion.

As they neared the pack's territory, a sudden howl pierced the night, echoing through the dense forest. The sound was not that of a werewolf, but something else entirely. Alpha Adam's eyes gleamed with an enigmatic intensity as he turned to his companions.

"Something unexpected awaits us," he murmured, and a chill ran down their spines as the unknown loomed before them.
