Chapter 32
Aliyah's Conscience hits her hard
"Fuck, Aliyah, I need to go..." Clark cried out.
"I know what I am doing... You'd be fine...." She whispered before slipping her mouth over his shaft.
Clark curled his toes and pressed his hand over her head, drawing her even closer. Every thought of getting to Vanessa is long gone from his head.
By the time he had been released, a good ten minutes had gone by. He quickly pulled up his fly and ran out of the toilet as fast as he could. He got to the elevator and prayed for it to get down as fast as possible. The people in the elevator with him gave him strange looks but he paid them no attention.
Just as he was stepping out of the elevator, his phone rang out, and in the hurry, he was in, he didn't check who the caller was before picking up the call.
"Hello!"
"Clark, is she home now?" Rowan asked in his smooth Playboy voice.
Clark felt like his heart had been tied and his tongue was automatically unable to say another word.
"Sir-" he began stuttering not knowing the response to give his boss.
Rowan picked up on his replies and understood that something was not right. Clark only stuttered when he failed to complete an order. Rowan felt anger seep through him and his fingers itched to hit something.
"Clark where are you? Did you even check on her?" He snapped.
"Sir I am on my- way to do that right- now!" Clark stammered as he rams unto the streets searching for Vanessa.
"If something happens to her, consider yourself dead!" Rowan told him and Clark knew it wasn't an empty threat.
Everywhere he looked there was no sign of Vanessa. She was probably home by now but his boss would never take a maybe for an answer. So Clark took out his phone and dialed Aliyah's number.
Aliyah was still cleaning herself in the toilet when her purse buzzed signaling that a call was coming through her phone that was in it. She wiped her hands clean and took out the phone, she smiled when she saw Clark's number. He was surely calling to give her sweet information.
"Hey, handsome!" She answered, closing her eyes in anticipation.
"Does Vanessa still stay in the company's apartment?" Clark asked.
Aliyah picked up the urgency in his voice and her smile plus excitement died down.
"Yes she does, is something wrong?" She said, with a flat face.
"Everything is going to be wrong if I don't find this friend of yours in the apartment," Clark answered before he got off the phone.
The company's employees' apartment blocks were not far from the office building itself. Just a few blocks away. Clark ran to the apartments as fast as he could. He knew Aliyah's apartment number and Vanessa was her roommate, so he don't have to ask for the exact location again.
He passed the security at the entrance and they gave him a salute since they all recognized him as the CEO's driver. He took the elevator to the right floor and made a beeline for the door. He rang it a couple of times and waited for Vanessa to open it.
All he had to do was take a shot of her while at home and send it to Rowan, he would probably give him some money for the trouble and he could spend more time with Aliyah, he thought with a smile as he waited for Vanessa to open the door.
But the door didn't open. He tried a couple of times more but no one answered. Was she not home yet?
That wasn't possible! He left after her, how could she not be home yet?
"Are you looking for Aliyah, sir?"A gentle voice said to him by the side.
Clark turned around to see the person that had spoken. It was one of the housekeepers employed by the company to take care of the flats. She would definitely know if Vanessa was home or not.
"No, I am actually looking for her roommate, Vanessa. Do you think she is sleeping?"
Pregnant women slept a lot. There was a high probability she could be sleeping.
But to his horror, the housekeeper shook her head.
"Oh, Miss Vanessa doesn't stay here anymore. She is in the west wing with Miss Stella and Miss Amanda." The housekeeper told him.
"Oh, okay thank you so much!" He thanked the housekeeper and ran to the opposite side of the corridor to access the west wing of the building. The wing had its own elevator and people from the east wing where Aliyah stayed and where Stella stayed hardly ever saw each other.
At least Clark was fortunate to also know Stella's room. He took the elevator on their side of the building and it took him to the desired floor.
He got out and ran to their room. He rang the bell and waited. Stella was not supposed to be working so she should at least be home.
"Clark, what are you doing here?" Stella asked rolling her eyes. He had once had a one-night stand with her but it never went so well. So Stella didn't really like him but he felt her anger was not at him today.
"Is Vanessa home?" He asked her ignoring her question.
Stella glared at him from head to toe and clicked her tongue in irritation.
"I should have known you came all the way here only to find the latest whore in the building!"
Clark wasn't a big fan of Vanessa himself but the tone at which Stella used to refer to her was equally very bad. Rowan wouldn't appreciate it one bit.
"If you care about your job, you would mind the way you speak of her. Please, is she in?" He insisted.
"Well I am sorry to burst your bubble but she isn't here anymore. She came in earlier to take up and bags!"
Clark felt like he could pee on his pants.
"She did what?"
