"Use a little more force, I'm not going to break."I begged Hunter arching my back a little bit.

"Like this?"He asked adding more pressure.

"Yes please."I moaned feeling relieved.

"Are you in a lot of pain?"Hunter inquired adding his thumbs to the equation.

"Not really but my back hurts."I replied reaching back to bring his hand up to where I needed it.

"I'll always be in awe of women. You guys can handle so much."Hunter praised.

"I know now keep doing that while I lie here and enjoy it."I sighed fluffing the pillow I was laying my head on to make it more comfortable.

I sighed and relaxed letting Hunter's hands soothe me almost to the point of sleep. I was lying on my stomach while Hunter was squatted next to me massaging my back. My periods had visited with a vengeance this month and Hunter was doing his best to help me relieve my pain. I had never had anyone do that for me before and I quite liked it.

"Okay you can stop now."I declared when I felt much better.

Hunter kissed my back, pulled my tank top down before shuffling back. I turned around lying on my side tucking a pillow in between my legs. Hunter mimicked me and we lay there on the cold floor facing each other. I had abandoned the bed for the bathroom floor when the tiles helped soothe my pain. Hunter had brought me the pillows when he'd found me on the floor half an hour earlier.

"You're so beautiful."He complimented randomly tucking my hair behind my ear.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him.

"I wish I could believe you."I sniffed because I didn't feel that way at the moment.

I was bloated, hadn't showered all day and had chunks of blood oozing from my vagina, of course I didn't feel beautiful. I also had this awful period pimple in the middle of my forehead sticking out like a third eye.

"I know you don't feel like that right now but you my baby will always be the most gorgeous girl to me."Hunter insisted leaning forward to kiss my forehead.

"Thank you bear."I replied relishing the warm feeling in my heart from his kind words.

"Anytime."Hunter smiled caressing my cheek.

"What would your employees think if they saw you lying on a cold bathroom floor?"I teased.

"They would think that I'm the best boyfriend ever who cares about his girl and doesn't want her to suffer alone."Hunter replied confidently leaving no room for an argument.

"You are the best boyfriend ever. I'm a lucky girl to have you, in more ways than one."I complimented reaching out to touch him.

"I'm the lucky one. You are amazing baby girl."Hunter declared.

"Just accept the compliment you big oaf."I scolded pulling his nose slightly.

"Okay fine, thank you baby."Hunter smiled pulling my hand from his nose to kiss my palm.

We lay there, smiling at each other as I basked in the comfort of Hunter's embrace for a while longer. Hunter had no idea how the little things, like him lying with me on the bathroom floor and helping me through my period pain meant to me. His affection for me was more than I ever dreamed of and I thanked the heavens everyday for him.

"Okay I'm ready to get up now. I want to take a bath."I declared five minutes later when my legs started cramping.

"Good because I have no idea how much longer my old man back could have taken lying on this floor."Hunter groaned finally letting me see how uncomfortable he was.

"You're not an old man."I challenged watching him get up.

"I'm seven years older than you, I'm definitely an old man."Hunter replied helping me up.

"Well then my old man, help me prepare a bath."I requested politely.

"Your wish is my command milady."Hunter replied pecking my lips softly before getting to it.

I sat on the toilet lid as I watched Hunter prepare me a bath. His words about our age difference echoed in my mind and I realized that we had never really discussed our age difference.

"Does our age difference bother you?"I asked him deciding to just get that conversation over with.

Hunter stopped what he was doing to turn around and face me.

"Does it bother you?"He challenged.

"I asked first."I retorted.

Hunter smiled knowing I was right.

"Sometimes but not in the way that you might think."He answered.

"I need more than that."I insisted his answer not being satisfactory enough.

Hunter sighed and set the bottle of oil he was pouring into the bath down facing me fully.

"You've expressed time and again how you feel like you haven't lived. I have lived my life and could settle down at any time now but you can't. Our age difference scares me because I want to be with you always but I also can't rush you because I don't want to clip your wings as you would put it."Hunter explained.

His words scared me and reassured me at the same time.

"Am I holding you back from finding someone who's ready to settle down just like you are?"I asked Hunter voicing my concerns.

I really liked Hunter and the idea of him with another woman didn't sit well with me but I would never stop him from living his life. If what we wanted in life didn't align then we had to know when to cut our losses.

"Baby no, don't even think that."Hunter scolded coming to kneel at my feet.

"You are currently my greatest blessing. I'm with you because I want to and because you make me happy. I love the life we have together right now and wouldn't trade it for anything. Just because we are in different stages of our lives doesn't mean we aren't compatible. Sooner or later, our paths will align and we'll want the same things. For now I'm just happy to be by your side as you spread your wings and grow."Hunter assured me.

I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but honesty and reverence. Hunter had me high up on a pedestal and I was afraid of failing him. But he also looked ready to catch me incase I stumbled off it and put me back up there.

"Promise me one thing?"I requested him.

"What?"He replied.

"That if at any time you feel you want more and I can't give it to you, you'll tell me and we'll either work it out or I'll let you go."I asked him.

"Where's all this coming from?"Hunter challenged.

"Promise me."I insisted cupping his face.

"Okay fine, I promise."Hunter assured me.

"Good because I never want you to feel unhappy with me."I replied smiling at him.

"I don't think that will ever happen but I do promise you."Hunter declared.

"Good."I said leaning in to kiss him.

Hunter grabbed my neck and kissed me back our tongues dancing to a tune only they knew best. I had no idea what the future held for Hunter and I but for as long it was healthy I would hold on for us.

Hunter pulled back, kissed my nose before standing up straight to finish getting my bath ready.

"All done."He declared few minutes later switching off the taps.

"Thank you bear, you can leave now."I grinned dismissing him.

"Bossy thing aren't you?"Hunter replied with a laugh.

"I'm learning from the best."I smiled.

"I know, enjoy your bath baby."Hunter whispered kissing my forehead before he left the bathroom.

I stripped, swapped my used tampon for a fresh one before sinking into the hot lavender scented bath just how liked it. I sighed happily as the hot water caressed my sore muscles soothing my pain away.

There were a couple of magazines on the shelf above the bathtub so I reached for one to keep my mind busy as I soaked in my bath.

Hunter knocked on the door a few minutes later and let himself in.

"Thought you could do with some wine."He announced holding up the bottle of white wine and a glass.

"Are you trying to get me drunk mr ceo?"I teased watching him pour me a glass.

"Never."He grinned handing me a half full glass.

"In that case then, thank you bear."I smiled taking a sip of the chilled wine.

"Anytime."Hunter smiled setting the bottle down within reach.

He leaned down to kiss me softly before leaving once more.

I thought he was done until he came back with chocolate covered strawberries.

"You do know that if you keep doing this, I'll expect it every month now."I grinned taking the plate from him.

"Then I'll be happy to do this for you for as long as you'll have me."Hunter promised me.

"Smooth talker."I scoffed unable to hide the smile on my face.

"Okay no more interruptions, enjoy your bath baby girl."Hunter said giving me one last kiss before he excused himself.

He didn't come back again so I was able to enjoy forty five minutes of pure bliss as I read magazines, drunk some wine and snacked on the strawberries.

When the water became too cold for me to ignore anymore and my fingers turned to prunes I finally got out of the tub. I put on a fresh tampon Jay to be safe. The bottle of wine was half empty so I carried it with me to the bedroom when I went to get changed. I found Hunter at his desk typing furiously on his laptop.

"Miss me?"I chided when he turned to face me after hearing me come in.

"Always."Hunter replied giving me one of his charming smiles that had my knees buckling.

I reminded myself to breath and quickly put on a pair of shorts, one of Hunters hoodies and long cotton socks.

"You're smoking cigars?"I asked Hunter when the smoky and sweet aroma of tobacco, leather and wood permeated my nostrils.

"Yes."Hunter replied moving slightly so I could see the cigar he was smoking on his whiskey glass.
