Mirah
He muttered some words beneath his breath, and I felt like we were tumbling down a tunnel, which was weird since I was still standing at a spot. And then we were suddenly standing in the throne room. I frowned when I studied the people that were present.
King Elliott, Alex, and Zeke's stepmother. Wendy, was it?
They all had a weird aura to them. And I felt like my sight was now enhanced. The aura they emanated was like a miniature version of Tyler's. As they bowed to Tyler, their actions seemed robotic.
‘They are under his control,’ I heard that familiar voice mutter in my mind.
‘Who are you?’ I asked.
‘I am Da-ji, the Book and the Controller's weapon.’ It said.
So it was the one responsible for the encounter I just had?
‘Is Tyler aware that you're in my mind?’ I asked, though that didn't seem like the case.
‘He doesn't. I can feel the Source Architect's presence nearby. What do you suggest we do?’ It asked.
‘Take control, when necessary. I don't have the slightest idea what to do.’ I sighed.
“We know you're in there, Tyler! Bring out Mirah this instant!” Zeke ordered, his voice echoing around the entire throne room.
Tyler chuckled behind me. “It’s time to play, Human. Let's go out and meet your people.” He said, leading the way.
I acted weak as we walked out. Like I wasn't feeling a celestial power meld into my body. I felt more powerful, more light-hearted.
But I didn't act immediately, afraid that I'd endanger Zeke and the others.
Once we were outside, my gaze met with Zeke's. A look of relief crossed his eyes, before he glared at Tyler.
“Let her go.” He ordered.
“That isn't your call to make, young prince.” Tyler said nonchalantly.
I jolted as I felt that dark energy. It was spreading around.
The Lumi.
I glanced at the others in panic. They seemed fine, and unaffected. But that could be a facade.
‘Da-ji, what is Tyler doing?’ I asked in panic.
It didn't respond, increasing my frustration.
I turned my focus to Zeke whose fangs and claws had now emerged. He was now fully in his vampire form. I yelled out as he suddenly dashed towards Tyler tackling him to the ground.
Tyler recovered quickly, rising to his feet and changing into his vampire form. The both of them locked in a combat stance, both seeming evenly matched for a while.
And then Tyler smirked before Zeke fell weakly to the floor.
‘Da-ji, what's happening?!’ I called out in panic.
No answer.
The others stood robotically, not giving a response.
Zeke too.
My breath turned harsh as I faced Tyler. “What have you done to them?”
“I immobilized them. Your boyfriend too. And now is your turn.” His red eyes blazed as he stretched it before me.
And when a few seconds passed without nothing happening, his brave front finally cracked.
“W-what-” He stuttered.
“Your time's up!” I called out, springing up into the air.
I spread out my arms, as that familiar celestial aura poured off me.
‘Da-ji and the Controller shall become one!’ I chanted.
My clothes changed into a black leather pants and a black leather jacket. A cloak hung at my back, stretching down to the leather boots I was putting on.
The Book emerged, changing into the same black sword I'd seen in that image. I wasted no time in breaking the spell Tuler had cast on the others. I shrouded Zeke in a cloak of protection, moving him over to where I stood. And when I spoke, it wasn't my voice nor my words.
“Prince Ezekiel Elliott, you have been chosen as the Source Architect. You've proven yourself as worthy of the throne, and have been pronounced as the King of Weasels. Accept your crown!”
A black crown that commanded respect floated in the air, and landed gracefully on his head. All this while, Tyler stood to the side shouting “No, no!” in a state of disbelief. Zeke's clothes changed into a royal one, with the royal color; black and red. He stood beside me, and I felt like my power had increased by a thousandfold.
“You look dashing, my Queen.” He smiled and my heart warmed.
“As do you, my King.” I reciprocated his smile, tangling my fingers with his.
“Remind me to be gentle when I eat up your pussy later.” He winked.
“On the contrary,” I bit a corner of my lip. “I’ll remind you not to be gentle. I can tell that you want to punish me. And I suspect it's the kind of punishment I like.” I chuckled.
His eyes misted. “Don’t leave me again, Kitten.” He said softly.
“I won't,” I promised before turning to Tyler who was still on the ground.
“The Source doesn't want you dead, ex-king. It asks for your repentance.” I said softly, benevolence oozing from my being.
“Oh, spare me that crap. A little change of costume doesn't make you stronger.” Rather than the look of fear I'd been expecting to see in his eyes, he seemed quite confident.
I closed my eyes, trying to check if any Lumi was nearby.
There was none.
“Give up trying to play tricks, Tyler. Your time's up.” I ordered, relishing the feel of the Book—in the form of a dark sword, in my hand. I felt like I could break every evil and right every wrong with the sword in my hand.
Powerful.
“I’m not trying to play tricks, Human. But I wonder if you wouldn't mind watching your parents die.” He waved his hand, and a projection appeared in the air. My mouth ran dry when I saw my parents chained to a large tree.
“It’s an illusion,” I scoffed.
“You should be able to tell if it is or not. You can wield the Source's power after all.” He sneered. I looked closely at the projection, my heart dropping to my stomach.
And that was because it wasn't an illusion at all.
No, this was real.
“The Lumi likes feeding off human essence just as Vampires do. Just that their method is quite crude.” He gestured at the projection again. The dark energy surrounded them, yet they gave no reaction. They were under a spell.
“Don’t listen to him, Kitten. He's trying to divert your attention.” Zeke's anxious voice snapped me out of my momentary trance.
