A CALL TO DEATH

A CALL TO DEATH
Chapter 82

Cyril's pov

She froze. But after a moment, I could no longer tell if she had frozen from shock or she was simply refusing to turn around.

“Where are you up to at this time?” I continued, taking forward steps to where she stood.

She turned before I got to her, putting on a smile that very much wasn't a genuine one.

“Hi. May I direct the same question to you as well?’’ She asked, her hands stuck in the side pockets of her coat.

“Annalise.’’ I stated after a brief moment of silence.

I watched her expression drop to one of suspense and interest.

I'd been at my private balcony doing absolutely nothing, trying to do away with my pent up resentment, when Alan's call came into my phone.

According to him, he had driven Thompson back home and set back for the kingdom. Upon getting to Silverstone borders which have flocked with our men since Alessia's disappearance, he got the reports that Annalise had been caught on her track to escape the pack.

It had been useless trying to get them to sip information off her lips. I ordered them to return with her instead.

“What about Annalise?” Alessia inquired, taking slow steps to me.

‘‘They have her. She was caught trying to escape Silverstone pack.’’ I explained.

“Who has her?’’ She asked like she couldn't believe a word I said.

“They'll be here soon.’’ I simply answered.

“And Thompson? Does he know about this too?’’

I resisted the urge to let out a scoff upon hearing her sickly question.

Who the hell cares about Thompson right now? Annalise deserved some level of punishment that it seemed Thompson wasn't willing to administer to her.

I matched onwards without even an air leaving my nostrils.

“Hey, I asked a question….’’ She ran after me.

“Well how about we discuss something more important?’’ I stopped on my track, and she eventually caught up with me.

“And what would that be?’’ She demanded breathlessly.

I drew in a deep breath, stopping myself from speaking before I spilled the whole shit carelessly.
I had to deal with Annalise for now, I had limited time for any discussions.

“Let's talk about it tomorrow.’’ I said, suppressing the urge to make us have the conversation later tonight instead.

“You're on your way to see Annalise right?’’

‘‘Alessia….’’

“Don't. I'm coming with you.’’ She cut me squarely, walking ahead already. She seemed to have her mind made up.

I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to have Alessia in the scene with Annalise. But I couldn't stop her at this time

“Where are they?’’ Alessia inquired as we got out. I simply pointed over at the throne room which she walked straight towards without a word.

The first sound that welcomed my entry was a scoff from Annalise. A mocking scoff. Even though she sat with her both arms tied behind her on a steel chair and Alan standing right beside her.

“Look who we have here. Bloody cheating bitch!’’ She spat, a hysteric smirk displayed.

“You tried to run away after what you did?’’ Alessia stated, ignoring her obnoxious statement that myself on the other hand found so much difficulty trying to ignore.

“What did I do so wrong? He is an illegal child. Everything about you is fucking illegal…’’

“Shut the damn crap!’’ I fired before I could stop myself.
“How silly a woman you are, you don't feel even a little remorse?’’ I couldn't believe her right now, although it shouldn't be so surprising that she was this despicable.

“Remorse?’’ She scoffed, rolling her face around while muttering words sarcastically before turning back to me. “How much remorse did you feel while you slept with someone else's woman?’’

“Annalise!’’ Alessia called. I couldn't believe my ears. Alan pulled at the thick ropes on her arm, eliciting a grunt from her throat.

That didn't do much to the steaming rage that lightened up in my veins. I took big broad steps towards her, resisting the urge to shove my clawing fingers into her throat. I had just one question for her. One question that she'd better not fucked answering it.

“Why did you do it?”

‘‘You have no right to do this. You have no right to bring me here let alone make me your captive.’’ She screamed. Alan's strike must have had a heavy one on her.

‘‘I'll ask again and for the last time. Why did you do it?’’ I maintained neutrality.

“What in hell are you talking about?’’ She fired.

“I have no other business with you asides the pub you sent on a death mission.’’ I spelt out.

“And how is he supposed to be your business either? Are you also interested in snatching another man's son as well…..’’

I snatched her throat in a tight squeeze, my veins vibrating with ire, intensifying the weight of my grip.

“You're one demented sadistic bitch, aren't you?”
I was doing so much trying to hold back my anger, but the damn woman still managed to keep a straight face even as she struggled for succour, grabbing my firm hand with her both palms.

Not a word could leave her lips, not while I suppressed air from her throat.

“You gonna speak or not?’’ I demamded. All I needed was a nod of her head.

Well, she didn't give it.

“Pretty stubborn ain't you?’’

I left go of her neck with an hysteric laughter, driven by raw anger.

She coughed hard, spitting her guts with visible veins all over her crimson face.

“Stop being stubborn, Annalise….’’ Alessia tried warning but words eluded her when Annalise darted a death glare her way.

“You're the least person I ever wanna hear again, and trust me I'll kill you once I get out of here.’’ She swore.

‘‘Sadly you ain't leaving. You must confess to the whole Silverstone pack about what you did.’’ I decreed.

She let out an annoying scoff, fuelling my resolve by more degree, sprouting claws off my fingers.

‘‘They already know about it, they can't do worse than they already did. Now how about you fuck off and quit asking incessant questions?’’ She spat in my face.

That was the last straw. I shoved my claws into her throat.
