Chapter 46 Richter Group was Wealthy

Marshall was feeling very depressed now.

What he had just done was not very dignified, and if anyone found out, they would laugh at him.

So no matter who saw him, they could tell he was in a very bad mood.

"Uncle Marshall, we need to learn to accept failure. This golf course is nice, you can play a little longer before returning to the company," Elena said, putting on her sunglasses.

"I'll go first."

Elena walked back to the car with her slender legs.

"Ms. Winston, did Marshall give you a hard time?" Owen had been unable to find a parking spot, so he hadn't gotten out of the car with Elena. He didn't expect her to come back so soon.

Elena felt tired. Her voice was hoarse as she said, "He doesn't have the ability to give me a hard time."

Owen breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, nothing had happened this time.

"But my uncle is very cunning, so you need to continue monitoring his actions. Let me know if anything happens."

Just like this time, she had never expected Marshall to seek collaboration with investors.

Owen nodded and said, "Okay."

Elena heard the soft music playing and her mood relaxed a little.

Owen was the person who understood her lifestyle habits the most.

"What's my next schedule?"

These few days, Elena had her schedule packed tightly with almost no free time. Owen couldn't bear to see her working so hard, but he couldn't stop her either.

"Discussing the real estate in Bayton."

Elena nodded to show that she had heard him. She trusted Owen to handle things.

However, when Elena closed her eyes to rest, she didn't see the complicated expression on Owen's face.

At that moment, the radio playing the soft music suddenly switched to a news station.

"The Richter Group donates ten million dollars to Sunnia Orphanage and fourteen million dollars to the nursing home. They take the number one spot on this year's charity ranking list. As Sunnia's leading enterprise, the Richter Group has always been our role model."

Hearing this news, Elena couldn't help but laugh mockingly.

Bryan was indeed experienced in the business world and knew how to use the power of public opinion.

Previously, the reputation of the Richter Group had been affected because of Maya's incident. But now, they could solve the problem by donating some money.

"We have arrived," Owen said softly.

Elena opened her eyes, and the tiredness on her face had disappeared.

She took off her high heels and changed into a pair of simple white shoes in the car.

As soon as they got out of the car, a faint salty smell wafted over.

"Are we at the beach?" Elena asked, puzzled, as she stepped on the soft sand.

"Yes, Mr. Richter said that discussing business at the beach would be more conducive to deepening mutual understanding," Owen replied in a low voice, slightly drowned out by the sea breeze. Elena didn't hear the part about "Richter", otherwise she would have turned back immediately.

Elena was glad she changed her shoes earlier, or else she wouldn't have been able to walk in high heels.

"Give me the documents, you can go and explore around," Elena took the documents and asked Owen to take a rest.

Owen couldn't say anything and could only console himself in his heart, saying, "This matter has little to do with me."

Stepping on the sand, smelling the faint sea breeze, Elena's mood also brightened.

However, as she saw the person standing facing the sea, she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

After not seeing Quinn around, she suddenly realized that this meeting seemed to be different from what she had planned.

Elena called Quinn on the phone and said, "Mr. Blanchet, are you running late?"

Quinn, who was in a meeting at the moment, answered the call with a puzzled expression.

Did Bryan not say anything?

"Ms. Winston, I trouble you to discuss matters with the Richter Group," he said.

"Why?" Elena asked angrily.

"The Richter Group has money."

Elena was speechless.

Damn it! She shouldn't have trusted Quinn Blanchet.

Elena had no outlet for her anger, so she stomped on the sand beneath her feet as if it were Quinn.

Bryan seemed to sense her approach and turned his head to see her angry expression.

Bryan couldn't help but laugh. Elena's angry look was like a kitten, very cute.

He still maintained his noble and dignified demeanor.

Mockingly, Elena said, "Mr. Richter is a bit excessive, actually snatching a friend's business!"

Bryan chuckled and said, "I traded with Coaston's project, so it's not considered snatching business."

Bryan traded Coaston's project for Bayton's project? Elena couldn't understand why Bryan would do that. This business is a loss.

"In the future, I will be your partner," Bryan said calmly.

Elena sneered. This was not good news for her.

If she didn't consider the expected profits of this project, she really wanted to give up.

"This is just a real estate project, Mr. Richter shouldn't be in charge of it in the future, right?" Elena looked at him with anticipation.

Bryan smiled helplessly. Does this woman really not want to see him?

Did he really do something wrong?

"The real estate matters are crucial to the development of the Richter Group, and I definitely have to take personal responsibility for it," Bryan coughed lightly and lied with a serious expression.

Elena really wanted to tell him, "I don't believe you!"

"Let's talk business," Elena threw the documents onto the nearby table and sat down directly.

It felt different to discuss business while looking at the sea, but unfortunately, the person sitting across from her made her feel uncomfortable.

Bryan quickly skimmed through the documents in two seconds.

According to the contents of the documents, the project's profits would be split evenly between the two parties.

Bryan chuckled. Quinn was such a fool, they could have split it seventy-thirty. Bayton was his place, he should have received a larger share.

But instead, they were squeezed into a fifty-fifty split.

This indirectly indicated that Elena had really changed.

Bryan closed the documents and said, "Construction can begin next month."

Elena said, "The Winston Group has more knowledge about real estate projects, so we could provide more planning on our end, but..."

As Elena was speaking, she looked up and caught sight of Bryan's beautiful and deep eyes.

In Bryan's eyes at this moment, there was a lovely and adorable girl. The sea breeze had tousled her hair a bit, but it added to her beauty.

"Don't move," Bryan suddenly spoke, his voice seductive.

Bryan raised his hand to tidy up Elena's hair that had scattered near her ear, but Elena dodged it and tucked her hair behind her ear herself.

Elena lowered her head, concealing the panic she had just felt in her heart.

She thought she could remain calm, but her rapid heartbeat gave her away.

"Mr. Richter, the detailed planning is all written in the documents, you can go back and take a closer look," Elena turned to look at the sea.

"Okay," the man replied.

Elena had heard that Bryan's business negotiations were always very demanding and rarely would he make concessions.

But based on today's meeting, Elena felt that the rumors might not be true.

Suddenly, Bryan's phone rang. Although it was a silent vibration, it still sounded a bit harsh because the phone was on the table.

Bryan was a bit unhappy and was about to hang up the call when he realized it was from the nurse.
