Chapter 44 Bryan's Private Contact Details
‘He doesn't leave?’ Elena's small hand involuntarily clenched, pondering.
"Mr. Richter." Jessica came running out, slightly out of breath. When she saw the tall Bryan in front of her, Jessica was stunned for a moment, and her face turned red instantly.
Bryan was simply too handsome, with his deep features and elegant demeanor. He exuded charm at every moment.
Fortunately, Jessica didn't lose her composure.
When Bryan caught a whiff of the perfume drifting towards him, he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Do you need something?" Bryan took a step back, his tone icy.
Jessica's heart raced when she heard Bryan's voice.
Not only was Bryan good-looking, but his voice was also magnetic.
Blushing, Jessica lowered her head. "Mr. Richter, I'm Jessica. I saw you outside by yourself just now, so I came out to check on you."
After all, she was also a socialite, and she couldn't speak too boldly.
Bryan usually liked girls who were more reserved.
Winston? Bryan was somewhat surprised.
"What is your relationship with Elena?"
Hearing Elena's name, Jessica felt disappointed. Bryan knew Elena?
Jessica felt ashamed to have such a notorious sister.
"She's my cousin." Jessica reluctantly admitted.
Bryan's face became more serious.
"Mr. Richter, why don't you come in and sit for a while? You can go to my room."
Jessica quickly changed the topic. She wanted to spend some time alone with Bryan. It would be even better if they could take their relationship to a deeper level.
"No need, I still have some things to take care of at the office," Bryan said, glancing at his expensive watch. It had been two hours already and Elena still hadn't come out.
Hearing that Bryan was leaving, Jessica panicked. She hurriedly approached him, subconsciously reaching out to grab his sleeve.
But before she could touch Bryan, he stepped to the side and said, "Ms. Jessica, do you have something else?"
Bryan was clearly getting impatient.
"Can I add you on WhatsApp? So I can contact you if I have anything," Jessica took a deep breath, nervously waiting for Bryan's reply.
After a brief silence, Bryan nodded.
Since she was Elena's cousin, it would be more convenient to contact Elena as well.
Bryan gave Jessica his personal phone number.
Elena held a glass of lemonade and squinted, watching the two exchange WhatsApp accounts outside.
She could see Jessica's profile from the side. Jessica seemed shy.
Elena sneered. She didn't expect Bryan to still like this type of woman. Jessica resembled Maya a lot.
"Elena, what are you doing here? Those people have been looking for you," Hugo said.
"Why are they looking for me?" Elena shifted her gaze back and took a sip of the lemonade.
The drink was sour and not enjoyable at all.
Hugo shrugged. "They want to get closer to you. After all, you are Jeff's favorite granddaughter. They all want to be close to you."
Elena rolled her eyes.
"Stop talking nonsense."
She wasn't in the mood to discuss these things now.
Elena casually threw the glass of lemonade into the nearby trash can.
"Jessica, was Mr. Richter looking for you just now?" one of Jessica's cousins approached her as she came back from the door.
"Yes, I saw you and Mr. Richter getting close," another cousin chimed in.
Jessica proudly shook her phone. "Yes, I am now his WhatsApp friend."
Jessica's boasting voice was so loud that even Elena could hear it.
Bryan rarely adds strangers to his WhatsApp.
Once, when Bryan forgot to turn off his phone while taking a shower, Elena glanced at it and found that his WhatsApp only had a few close friends, and her and Maya...
Elena quickly dismissed those messy thoughts.
Who Bryan likes has nothing to do with her.
"Elena," Jessica called out as Elena was about to leave.
"Do you need something?" Elena responded coldly.
Jessica hesitated for a moment. This sentence... why did it sound familiar?
Never mind, she was here to show off to Elena.
"In the future, you better show me more respect. Otherwise, when I marry into the Richter family, you can expect my revenge," Jessica whispered threateningly to Elena.
Elena laughed disdainfully.
"Well, you can show off to me after you marry Mr. Richter. With your current appearance, you're not qualified to say these things to me."
"You!" Jessica raised her hand to hit Elena. She didn't expect Elena to speak so boldly.
Elena couldn't help but smile. "My dear sister, your makeup is smudged. You better go touch it up in the bathroom. I wonder what Mr. Richter thought when he saw your face just now?"
Elena tilted her head, mocking Jessica.
Hearing this, Jessica was scared and quickly ran to the bathroom.
Women are really troublesome, always having to do makeup.
Elena thought it was better not to wear makeup...
But not everyone is naturally beautiful like Elena.
Today is Jeff's eighty birthday. All the members of the Winston family stayed at the Winston Old House for the entire day, hoping to please Jeff.
Elena rarely came back, so she stayed with Jeff until evening.
"Elena, I've kept your room for you all this time. Don't go back tonight," Jeff held Elena's hand, feeling reluctant.
"Grandpa, I'll come see you in a few days. I have something to take care of today," Elena said, needing to attend to some work matters.
"Ah," Jeff sighed, "Then come to my study."
Elena closed the door to her room.
"Grandpa," she called out obediently.
Jeff took out a red wooden box that seemed ancient and delicate.
Elena gasped. She already knew.
"Elena, take good care of this thing," Jeff said.
"I don't want it," Elena immediately refused without hesitation.
"Listen to me," Jeff said slowly, "This was supposed to be given to you by your father, but... I'll give it to you directly now."
Inside the wooden box was the Winston family heirloom. Jeff gave it to Elena early because he doted on her too much.
"Elena, I worry about you the most. Please accept it, okay?"
Elena hugged Jeff tearfully. "Grandpa, it's my fault."
She was stubborn, she didn't listen.
Jeff stroked Elena's hair and said, "My Elena can do no wrong."
The Richter family was wrong.
Jeff's face grew dark. He wouldn't easily forgive that rotten kid.
