Chapter 115

Chapter 115
When the night ended and everyone went home, they made sure we didn’t have to clean anything because they said family BBQ’s mean family cleaning. Kane held me and we talked about our future; he told me all the things he was looking forward to going through with me. We talked about different ideas for the baby's room, like; baby zoo animals, Winnie the Pooh, jungle theme, and space. We talked about names like Xavier Link, Thomas, or Nathan for a boy and Sasha Marie, Kathy, or Bethany for a girl. We liked putting Links names with any boy names we went with knowing Link would be so happy. He plans to spend a lot of time with us when the baby is born so he can be the best uncle ever according to him. We both fell asleep with big smiles on our faces dreaming about the life we will get to have with our baby. 
I am now 6 months pregnant and feel like a ballon. We found out the baby is going to be twins, a boy, and a girl. Xavier Link, and Sasha Marie. Selena and Kenda are throwing me a baby shower today. Yaz and her husband moved to the other side of the country to Alaska. Her husband got a better job offer out there, so she sold her restaurant. Tina went as far as to start messing with Yaz’s in-laws, so they went with them. It is sad, they have no plans on coming back this way, not even to visit. She said they will only get the picture if they cut all contact with this area. Joseph went with them and pulled out of the businesses he was in with Kane because of them as well. Martin was following Tina’s lead and started messing with all of Joseph’s meetings for the restaurant he wanted to open on his own. I wished them luck and now we were down a man, but Kane said he has a good friend that has a hospitality management degree and will be here next month. Her name is Bonnie, she has been married for 2 years, and they are expecting a baby. Her husband Louis is getting transferred here; he is a Lawyer. They have a 1-year-old boy named Robert and with the transfer they wanted to move closer to family. She will eventually have to travel, and Louis's job only has a few travel days a year. It would be nice to have more ideas to help us grow. Kane wants to be a silent partner with them because he doesn’t want to travel. Bonnie loves travel and will still run new openings and major decisions by us, but we will trust her to grow the idea we started with. He said he never really wanted to travel for anything other than vacations with us. I agreed that too much travel would take a lot out of him. 
Today though we are surrounded by Kane’s family, my dad, and a few of our employees. They used the theme we picked for the baby’s room. We decided to pick the theme of Winnie the Pooh. We figured that was neutral so they could share a nursery. Kane has someone paint the room as the 100 Acre Woods with all the homes of the characters on the walls as well as the characters together in the middle of the wall with two cribs on each side and a changing table in the middle right below the characters. We have 2 rocking chairs Kane found online that were custom made with Winnie the Pooh padding all over to make it comfortable for sitting in, 2 dressers with a Winnie the Pooh design that they gave us for half price with the custom order Kane put in for the chairs. The baby's names are over the cribs painted in cursive. Now my house is decorated with Winnie the Pooh characters everywhere. I couldn’t believe everything they did for us during the last 6 months to make sure my stress level stays down. We got a few packages from my bio mom; they took them and opened them to see what they were. I never found out what they had in them, but some were sent to the police, so I am guessing it was bad. Tina sent baby clothes and notes from what they said. Yolanda delt with those and sent them back to Tina with a note telling her not to contact any of us that her actions are all over the place and we didn’t want anything to do with them outside of business and if they kept it up then that could mess with business, they also sent a copy to Martin so he knew his businesses would be in trouble if he didn’t keep Tina away. It was a mess, but I didn’t know about it until it was all delt with. 
Link has been here every day to spend time with me; he loves feeling the baby's kick. He has also been reading about developing babies. Yolanda found age-appropriate books for his curious mind so he could learn about them. Link also reads to them, mostly books about animals but he loves when I sit still so he can feel them kick while he reads. Kane jokes and says he likes me and the babies more than him now. Link says he just wants to be the best uncle in the world. Kane always tells Link he is just kidding, and he knows they will always have their connection. Kendra meals prep for us every night because my feet have become swollen so bad now. I can’t believe how big they get after I work in the kitchen. I have a foot spa I use at the end of the day every day. In all honesty I feel like my whole body is swollen but they say that is normal. I have high blood pressure so they told me I couldn’t work until after the babies were born, not complete bedrest but almost if I am not careful. I have a footstool under my feet now sitting in the recliner in my living room. Link just brought me Iced Tea while Kane made me a plate of the snacks Kendra made for today. Everyone is playing baby shower games and talking about life and my newfound simi bedrest.
