Chapter 30. Mate

"What?, Why is he here?" Alpha Mykel thought to himself

Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by the voice of a guard. "Yes my Lord, Prince Ralph is around," the guard said. Alpha Mykel was surprised to hear this news, as he had not been informed of his son's return.

"Why is he coming back home now?" Alpha Mykel asked, his brow furrowed with concern. The guard shrugged. "I have no idea, my Lord," he replied. "He is still on the ship with Amaya; they are trying to stabilize her and they will be here soon."

Alpha Mykel's concern deepened upon hearing this news. Amaya was his close friend and a beloved member of the royal family. He hoped that she was not that seriously ill.

"Thank you for the news," Alpha Mykel said, dismissing the guard. "Once he is here, send him to my quarters."

The guard bowed and replied, "Most definitely my Lord," before Alpha Mykel turned and walked away. He couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in his stomach. He hoped that Ralph's return was not a harbinger of bad news.

As he walked, he contemplated the state of his kingdom. There were always challenges to overcome, but he was confident in his ability to lead his people through any crisis. He knew that he could rely on his son and other trusted advisors to help him make the right decisions for their people.

Finally, he arrived at his quarters, where he could take a few moments to collect his thoughts and prepare for Ralph's arrival. He prayed that his son and Amaya would arrive safely and that they would have good news to share.

As he sat alone in his chambers, Alpha Mykel's thoughts were consumed by the challenges facing his kingdom. He was so deep in thought that he almost forgot about Kitara, who was staying in another room in the palace. Eventually, he remembered her and decided to go and check on her.

At the same time, Kitara was lost in her own thoughts. She had made an enemy, someone who she didn't even know. She suspected that the person was a concubine of Alpha Mykel. This realization brought an interesting thought to her mind - if Alpha Mykel kept so many concubines, maybe he had a preference for women. Perhaps this was her chance to seduce him and gain an advantage.

Kitara began to prepare herself for the task at hand. She knew that being in Alpha Mykel's quarters gave her a great advantage, and she was determined to make the most of it. With a sly smile, she readied herself for the seduction.

As Alpha Mykel made his way to Kitara's room, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. He didn't know Kitara very well, but he felt a sense of protectiveness towards her. When he arrived at her room, he found her looking more alluring than he had ever seen her before.

For a moment, he was taken aback by her beauty, but then he noticed the seductive glint in her eye. He realized with a start what she was trying to do, and he felt a mixture of anger and disappointment.

Alpha Mykel was a just and honourable man, and he would never allow himself to be swayed by such shallow tactics not when she is sick, if she was healthy he would have fallen into her trap but not when she is that sick. He looked at Kitara with stern disapproval and left the room without saying a word.

Kitara was left feeling embarrassed and foolish. She had thought that seducing Alpha Mykel would give her an advantage, but in reality, it had only made her look weak and desperate. She realized that she needed to find a different way to achieve her goals, one that was based on intelligence and skill rather than shallow seduction.

As Alpha Mykel sat in his chambers, he couldn't help but think about Kitara's failed attempt to seduce him. He found the whole situation amusing and even began to consider the possibility of making her one of his concubines once she had recovered. He felt a sense of power knowing that she was now his to do with as he pleased.

Just then, there was a knock at his door, and without waiting for a response, his son Prince Ralph walked in. Alpha Mykel was taken aback by his son's sudden appearance. Ralph had been away for years, trying to learn the ways of the human world. He was determined to be a good Alpha and bring all the different supernatural factions together.

Alpha Mykel was both proud and worried for his son. He knew that Ralph's journey had been long and difficult, but he also feared that he might have been influenced by the ways of the humans. He greeted his son warmly and they began to catch up on old times.

But first, he is concerned about Amaya's health, " I heard you are with Amaya on the boat, how is she doing?" Alpha Mykel asked.

"Well, for start I don't know who she is, I just got a glimpse of some men drugging her and then I got on board and fought them, they fled into the river and I helped her. Then your men met us by the riverside and said she is close to you, is she one of them?" Ralph said.

"Ok, so where is she?" Alpha Mykel asked. Well, she is at the health center of the river bank and your men promised to bring her back, what happened to her? I thought she is living in this wall, how is it possible to get her kidnapped?" Ralph asked.

"Am still left with the same question?" Alpha Mykel said looking pissed. Then they both heard a loud noise from the room Kitara was kept and they rushed there, Kitara seems to have tried to get a glass of water herself but then passed out on the floor.

Mykel rushed to her and poured a glass of water on her, "who is she, Dad?" Ralph's asked from behind.

Is that necessary now, come here and help" Mykel said and at that moment Kitara opened her eye? "Am sorry for being clumsy?" she said and smiled.

"Why does that sound heavenly?, why can't I take my eye off her angelic face? No no no, she must not be my mate!!" Ralph thought in his mind.

Kitara got a glimpse of him," holy shit, this ain't supposed to happen"
