CHAPTER 29. SIKE...STRIKES AGAIN?"
"What do you mean she has gone missing!!?" Alpha Mykel asked with a rage, and the guard shook on his spot and moved back a little. "Am sorry, my lord, it seems after we informed her that Kitara is around, she made her way here, but she didn't get here," the guard replied.
"And all this abduction takes place in this wall?" Alpha Mykel asked, "Am afraid Yes, my lord." The guard replied. "Good, and yet there are some people that claim to be my guard who are supposed to be working against that; they claim they are well trained, and yet two abductions took place within three days; what should we do about that?" Alpha Mykel spoke with a wicked smile on his face. The guard gulped nervously, his mind racing as he tried to come up with a response that wouldn't anger the king any further.
He knew that there was no excuse for their failure to protect Kitara, and now that Amaya was also missing, he was terrified of what the consequences might be. Other guards also arrived at the scene and saw the expression on their Kings face.Alpha Mykel continued to stare at the guard, his eyes blazing with anger. He had trusted these guards to keep his kingdom safe, and now they had failed him twice. He couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and betrayal.Suddenly, one of the other guards stepped forward. "My lord," he said, "I believe we should take immediate action to find Amaya and bring her back safely.
"Alpha Mykel nodded in agreement. "Yes, you're right. "We need to find her before it's too late."The guards quickly sprang into action, gathering their weapons and preparing to search the area. Alpha Mykel watched as they disappeared into the forest, his heart heavy with worry. As he waited for news, he couldn't help but think about the many dangers that lurked within the walls of his kingdom. He knew that he had to find a way to strengthen his defenses and protect his people from harm.Hours passed, and Alpha Mykel began to grow more and more anxious. He paced back and forth, his mind racing with all of the possible scenarios that could have befallen Amaya. Finally, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. He turned to see the guards emerging from the forest, their faces grim.Alpha Mykel rushed forward, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Did you find her?" he asked, his voice trembling. The guards shook their heads, and Alpha Mykel felt his heart sink. He knew that time was running out, and they had to find Amaya before it was too late.As he began to organize another search party, Alpha Mykel couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt. He had failed to protect his people, and now one of his own was in danger. But he refused to give up hope. He knew that they had to keep searching, no matter how long it took. And he would do whatever it took to bring Amaya safely back to the palace and to the kingdom she called home.
"Okay, you guys go check the perimeters of where we found Kitara and see if there is a clue to who the abductor could be" Alpha Mykel commanded the guards and dismissed them. He decided to spend time with Kitara and see that she has recovered fully before he got involved with Amaya's case. After few hours Kitara woke up from her sleep, she looked around surveiling the environment Mykel noticed her movements and decided to check her out.
He walks into her room and saw her struggling to get up, he rushed to her and help her up. "I saw her" she said with a whisper, "who?" Alpha Mykel asked nervously, hoping to know who the abductor is.
"Clara" Kitara replied, Mykel's expression changed, "why would Clara attack her?, is she also involved with Amaya disapperance?" he thought to himself. Clara is one of his numerous concubines, but as soon as the incident of Kitaras mother occured he had refrained from keeping concubines and reduced it to minimum. Alpha Mykel was taken aback by Kitara's revelation. He knew Clara as one of his concubines and had no idea why she would be involved in Kitara's abduction. He couldn't help but think if Clara was also involved in Amaya's disappearance.
He decided to speak with Clara immediately to find out if she knew anything about Kitara's abduction or Amaya's disappearance. As he made his way to Clara's quarters, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He didn't know what to expect from Clara, and the thought of her involvement in the abductions made him feel uneasy.
When he arrived at Clara's quarters, he knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. When she finally opened the door, he noticed that she seemed nervous and jittery. He immediately began to question her about Kitara's abduction and Amaya's disappearance.
Clara denied any knowledge of the abductions, but Alpha Mykel wasn't convinced. He decided to search her quarters for any evidence that might link her to the abductions. As he searched, he found a strange-looking dagger hidden under her bed.
Alpha Mykel's heart raced as he picked up the dagger. It was a weapon that he had never seen before, and he couldn't help but feel that it was somehow connected to the abductions. He decided to take the dagger with him and continue his investigation.
Alpha Mykel was stopped by a panting guard on his way to his quarters with news: "We found Amaya but she's not alone." Surprised, Mykel asked for more information. The guard explained that Amaya had been found on a ship with Prince Ralph, but she seemed to have been drugged. Mykel was shocked and confused at the news.
"Ralph...."
