Era? It's really weird hearing my name coming from his mouth and I also didn't fail to hear what he said but that's the problem right there. It's really hard to accept that I heard his words and their meaning. It was now my turn to just stare at him and not say anything but my mind was racing. I'm not stupid, I've never been at all. No way a person as cold and cunning as he is would say this without having a hidden motive. Is this maybe his new strategy, a new way of tricking me. I inwardly shook my head at him, there's a traitor in his pack and instead of thinking of ways to find that person who is working for the vampires he is busy thinking of ways to trick me.

He never broke eye contact and it was starting to get uncomfortable especially with the silence. He is set on not saying anything.

"Why did you put me in charge of the elixir house? Arina has been loyal to you and worked for you for years yet you humiliated her in front of everyone"

One of the things I've been dying to ask him, I held myself back during his speech but I really wanna know his plan. He is aware that I'm not too interested in staying here and giving me a position even though a useless position is not a good thing for him. This position gives me some sort of freedom. So I eagerly waited for him to answer but he stood up and went in the direction of the kitchen.

There was a bit of hesitation but in the end I followed him " I hear you like burgers, do you want me to make you one?"

"Are you serious right now?"

I didn't care how weird all this was but just hearing the word burger lifted my mood and I got super excited. He might do something to it but it definitely won't be something poisonous cause he needs me.

"Do you want one or not?" ...

Well I'll be... Ahem the man knows his way in the kitchen, his burger even surpasses all the burgers I've eaten so far.

" I assume you like it?" He asked staring down at me as I unwillingly finished his burger, he didn't look ridiculous at all when wearing a black apron with the words 'chef demon' written in bold words on it. It's just that he will never show himself to his pack members like this even though he looks very relaxed right now. There was even a small teasing smile on his face something I forced myself to ignore as I ate my delicious...ahem! his delicious burger.

As delicious as it is, will I admit it to him?" well I guess it's okay...not bad at least, not the best I've tasted" of course I didn't look at him straight in the eye when spouting nothing but lies. He arched his brow and the teasing smile never left his face. "Well that's too bad, your cute blissful expression made me hopeful and I thought I'd make you another one but oh well!" My heart dropped when hearing his last ten words and I was just about to quickly rectify my mistake but then I looked at his teasing face. Who am I exactly, I will never concede even though it was I who lied " mnh! Why would I want another one when it wasn't even that good to begin with?".

"Oh then this means you only like the burger that Zik buys you" from a teasing face to a smirk that I didn't really understand, is he angry?

"Can you please tell me what this is about, all of this! I should be working remember "
Besides his burger this has been very unpleasant, I don't know in his eyes I have done something wrong or something.

" I wanna know a lot of things about you in fact I wanna know everything about you. It's not nice to need a person who you don't know anything about at all. My pack and even myself are depending on someone who is unknown.

You're a mystery and I guess it was interesting at first but now it's infuriating.

You've done nothing but surprise me, it started with the potion that I'm now aware that it's the least impressive thing you can do then afterwards it was magic. Wind and earth at first but I later find out that you can also control water and fire or whatever you do with those elements. I don't even know what happened the time you were attacked by vampires but it has something to do with your hideous bracelet.

Yet that wasn't all wasn't it!"

I sort of understand where the anger and frustration is coming from, it has reached a point where his pack members trust me and so far I've proven that I'm more than just a mere tool. I've surpassed all the elixir residents usefulness and he is worried because the future is very uncertain. There's a traitor in his pack, this is his pack that we're talking about and I'm nothing but an outsider. I might turn my back on them which is something that I still intend to do, he is afraid that I might betray them which is something I will never do. It's not because of loyalty or that I care a lot about them, I've seen the werewolves clashing against a horde of monsters while their numbers being less than forty. I might be unique and useful because of my powers but I will never fight again that many werewolves. It's not just their insane speed, agility, strength, indurance and werewolves powers. They aren't mindless monsters, they were made for battle so what is a person with a weak body like me going to do against me. I didn't say anything because it looks like he isn't done talking, he looks very determined to get all the answers to his questions today.

I just wonder which one will win, is it his determination or my secrecy.
