Chapter 222 I Should Punish You
There were a large number of trainees, which constituted 20 groups actually. Every team got around 5 minutes to perform. Considering some extra time for adjustment in between, it was nearly noon when Renee's team got to perform on the stage.
Many audiences were waiting to the end of the show, then they would go home for lunch.
Renee told her performers to just focus on performing and didn't care much whether audiences would cheer them up or not.
After all, the audiences had been cheering for a long time. Now they were tired and might not be as enthusiastic as they were at first.
They couldn't let their show be affected just because the audiences were too tired to cheer up passionately. They couldn't undermine their performance in later time.
Luna and other performers agreed and then went to the stage nervously.
At this time, the number of audiences had reached over 500, many of whom knew that Luna and her other team members were under Renee's care and Renee was quite famous in the industry. Thus, they liked the team a lot.
After all, performers who were cultivated by a wonderful person wouldn't be bad.
So the audience gave a more passionate cheer despite that they were already a little tired. They cheered even louder than they did at the beginning of the show. They directly supported the team with their enthusiasm.
Luna and her team members were dancing quite seriously. They could also hear the feedback of the audiences below and realized that the feedback was very good. Thus, they grew more confident, delivering a very nice rehearsal.
The audiences were even more excited when they saw that Luna and her team members dancing very good together. They were still cheering when the show was finished. Their attitude towards Renee's team was a slightly different from the one they showed to other trainees.
Many trainees laughed at themselves, "Damn. They're so lucky to have such a great leader. They have got so many fans and support even before the program is officially started. Their ranking will certainly not be bad!"
They didn't mean to envy Renee's team, and they were just joking casually.
After all, Renee cared about the whole picture doing things and did many things to help other trainings. Renee deserved the success.
Besides, Renee didn't do dirty tricks behind to get good results for her performers and didn't cross the line. They had no reasons to blame Renee for her success.
Hearing what they said, Renee smiled and said nothing. She knew they were just saying for fun.
However, Drake nearby got furious when he heard this. The pencil in his hand was broken by him.
What the fuck had just happened. He had been calculating these things for so long and all these actually helped Renee to succeed. Now Renee was rising smoothly in the battlefield!
Anger and hatred were filled in Drake's eye.
He would not let Renee to live so comfortably like this. His senior friends had advised him how to play the game. Renee must fall at her prime time, after that she would stick to the mud and never get the chance to rise.
The performers under her management would also fall miserably because of her downfall. They would remain low and under others' feet, never getting the chance to be famous again!
Think of this, Drake felt better. But his hand holding the broken pen was still slightly shivering. He could barely control his mood.
Rehearsal during the morning was over. Now it was at noon, when everyone would adjust themselves and rest. The show would be officially started in the evening.
After all, shooting during the night could benefit under a variety of bright lights, enhancing the visual effect of the show. The color effect of background on the big screen would also be better.
Drake went back to the base of shooting with others.
Then Drake said, "Renee, your team is quite popular during this show, which is good. Won't you celebrate it with us in advance?"
Although Renee's team hadn't gotten any official ranking yet, they won the favor of so many audiences. This was good. It was not too much to ask to invite the crew for a meal. Besides, it would not cost much money.
This was what Drake meant.
But Renee waved her hand, "At noon we still have to finish the food left from the breakfast in the morning. As for celebration, we can wait for the show is completed."
"During the shooting, we should eat in the canteen for the sake of everyone's physical health. The meals in the canteen are strictly cooked by the crew, and there will be no issues. If we eat outside, it'll be likely we will eat something unclean and upset the stomach, affecting the shooting."
Hearing what Renee said, no one could argue with her.
After all, sometimes some restaurants outside did have poor management on hygiene. Some people who had sensitive stomach would really suffer from stomach problems for days after eating there. By then, it would certainly undermine the show.
What Renee said also reminded some people who occasionally wanted to try something more delicious outside. They had better to be careful before the show was completed. Otherwise, they would suffer more than what they could gain, affecting the show.
Thus, others felt better about the cautious Renee.
As for Drake who put forward this proposal, they thought he was short-sighted and his idea was terrible. Drake was regarded as someone bad ruining their show.
Instead of getting what he wanted, Drake was defeated by Renee again. He was so furious, but he couldn't show it out.
Drake originally wanted to push Renee to invite the crew for a meal, then he could mess up with the food and get others affected by the food. If so, others would all hate Renee for her invitation.
If the plan deviated a little and Renee wasn't willing to invite them for a meal, Drake could also blame Renee for being mean in money and had no courage to invite others for the meal. Then others would think Renee wasn't generous.
But it surprised Drake to see Renee didn't fall for his trap at all. Even though Renee refused his advice, she also made reasonable argumentations with it. No one could blame her at all.
Fortunately, this was not the best suggestion Drake got from his senior friends on how to fight with Renee. it was a long journey in the future, when Drake still had a lot of opportunities to ruin Renee and pull her down from the throne.
In the program group, the most dazzling stars should be his people, Renee and her people were just nothing!
When Renee returned to the room for break, she got a call from Zarek.
"You broke your words," Zarek said.
Renee was nervous hearing this.
What?
Breaking words?
Renee though it over and realized she seemed to have forgotten to tell him about the stage being tampered with. Right?
"But that issue was quickly resolved, which was nothing serious at all. If I specifically told you this, wouldn't I make you angry?" Renee began to play nice.
Anyway, she thought she did the right thing, no matter how she rephrased it.
Besides, such a trivial matter was solved quickly. Thus, it was really unnecessary for her to mention it to him.
But Zarek obviously thought it differently.
He said in a low voice, "I should punish you."
Renee was confused.
What?
Punishing her?
She asked, "How will you want to punish me?"
Zarek thought for a while and continued, "I will come to your site this afternoon to discuss cooperation with the locals. I will stay for dinner in the evening, and you will accompany me."
Could she say no?
Zarek always made excuses beforehand. Then he said it was a punishment to let her eat with him.
But the show would be officially started tonight, when two teams would be sifted out as failures. This was important to her. She worried something wrong would occur when she was out having dinner!
If something wrong happened and her team was judged as a failure in the sow, all her previous defenses and confrontations would end up with nothing.
