Chapter 223 Don't be Careless

After thinking for a while, Renee tried asking, "Can I bring Dinah and others with me?"

Renee was quite helpless about it. She would be safe if she brought some people with her, in case Zarek set some traps for her.

Zarek was silent for a long while over the other end of the phone.

Renee almost believed Zarek was angry. Then Zarek said slowly over the phone, "You can. But they will dine in the private room next door. I will arrange it."

The corner of Renee's lips was up.

He actually compromised it. It seemed that what the ancestors said did have some point. A short while of separation brought people closer than those who were just married. Did he actually miss her after not seeing her for a while?

"One more thing!" Renee was on the upper edge and was quite pleased to ask for another thing.

Zarek wasn't angry for this.

"Spill it out," Zarek said.

Renee solemnly said, "Recently, some people have been acting against us. I worry that eating outside is not safe. I don't believe anyone will mess up with your food, a big boss like you who visits here for some business cooperation."

"I require food for Dinah and my other mates will be cooked together with yours. Then your guys will watch them serving food, in case any accidents may occur. After all, the official shooting will take place tonight."

Zarek felt quite reluctant to Renee's over cautious actions. But he then thought about those small messes targeted at Renee recently, and he understood it was quite reasonable for her to be so discrete. He then agreed.

Renee was happy and thanked him.

It was instant silence afterwards.

It seemed something was wrong.

Zarek asked her to have dinner with him as a way of her punishment, then it was she who thanked him in the end?

Well...

So be it. Renee immediately broke the silence and continued, "I will take some rest now if there is nothing else. Please contact me at dinner time."

Then she quickly hung off the phone.

After that, she went to the dormitory next door to inform them about the dinner plan tonight.

However, Renee realized something when she calmed down...

She had just said in public she would not go out to eat, for the safety of everyone's diet. Then soon she told her team to dine tonight. It would be easy for others to say something bad about her.

Yet she promised Zarek this dinner, so she had to go out.

If so, she couldn't risk leaving her trainees here to handle that despicable Drake. She had no choice but take them with her for the dinner, knowing very well this might cause some bad rumor against her.

She had a friend who happened to visit here and wanted to invite her for a dinner. She couldn't say no about it. For the sake of safety, she took her own people to eat together. The gossip might not be that serious.

Wasn't she allowed to have a dinner with a friend who came afar and who hadn't seen her for a while?

Luna and other trainees were quite worried when they heard they needed to have dinner outside. After all, Renee had just said that the food outside might not be safe.

Dinah poked Luna's head gently and smiled.

"Idiot. Think who is asking our Renee out. If the food for that person s not safe, then there is no safe food for you."

Luna nodded and she seemed to understand it.

Then they all looking forward to the dinner outside.

After all, the meals specifically served for the performers weren't that desirable. As no sophisticated seasonings were added to the food, and food like this was just common and could prevent performers from getting fat. Even the food wasn't awful, it was not as delicious as food usually sold outside.

Several people were excited to have the opportunity to eat normal food without worrying about whether there would be problems affecting the shooting after eating.

Time flew. Soon it was 4.30 pm in the afternoon.

Renee's phone rang. It was Zarek calling her.

Renee immediately picked it.

"I'm going for dinner. Should I send you the address or should I come to pick you up?"

Renee was surprised.

What?

Under normal circumstances, wouldn't the gentle and considerate Zarek volunteered to pick them, or he would arrange someone over to pick them?

Why did he ask that? Was there something behind it?

Did he worry people would talk if he drove his luxury car over?

Although Renee had been smarter a lot, she wasn't so sure about things regarding Zarek. He was too clever in mind.

"Send me the address. We can come over ourselves," Renee said.

Zarek then reminded, "Dress nicely. It's a proper meal in a proper restaurant. Don't be careless."

Renee felt she was seen through by him. Now she really dressed carelessly as she thought it was not necessary to dress to much working with the crew. Just be simple and practiced.

She then realized Zarek must miss her as he hadn't seen her for a while and specifically asked her out for a dinner. He must want to see her fully dressed for this dinner.

So, Renee gave him what he wanted. She changed for a suit of small dress, and had her hair taken care of. She wore a small hair hoop with laces and flowers on it.

Then she reminded Luna and others to go.

Dinah was staying with Luna and others, including Olga and Hamlin. There were five persons in the room.

As soon as Renee walked in the room, they all widened their eyes.

"Wow. God. What an outfit!" Dinah joked.

Luna also complimented, "Renee, you look so pretty today!"

Simon also said, "Renee is pretty every day. But she's stunning today."

Luna nodded and agreed.

Hearing these, Renee was shy.

Renee said, "Okay, don't make fun of me. Come on. We'll drive to the restaurant ourselves. I'm afraid you'll have to eat cold food if we're late."

Then Dinah was surprised.

Dinah asked, "What" What did I hear? We drive there ourselves? That person isn't coming. How strange."

Renee did not mind it, "Shouldn't we be worried what rumor will be stirred if that person comes to pick us up? It's not that difficult if we drive there ourselves."

Dinah wasn't that confident about it.

Did Renee really worry about the rumor if he drove over with his luxury car?

Why did Dinah feel Zarek wasn't this type of person who worried about it?

Soon they drove on the way.

Because they only told the director about the dinner, no one said anything about it while they were out.

As for the director, he didn't dare say much when he heard about the dinner. If he forbad them from going out, something wrong might happen to the show. Naturally he agreed.

This place for shotting wasn't huge, and the restaurant was not far from the studio. It took them twenty minutes to arrive at the restaurant.

However, they were surprised to find this restaurant to be so poetic and huge here. This place was remote and not that advanced in terms of development.

The whole restaurant had a courtyard, inside of which ancient Chinese gardens were designed. So poetic and elegant.

It would cost at least several thousand dollars to dine at such a high-end restaurant.

Dinah joked, "God. I actually did not know that there is such a beautiful restaurant here. After the shooting is over, I will come here to have a good meal and take some pictures!"
