ANYTHING EXCITING?

ANYTHING EXCITING?

“But do not worry. I will keep you all informed and updated about everything that happens.” Rosalia still assures.
Hell No. Nothing will be happening and it will be best she kicks those thoughts of children with Enzo to the curb. That and the other thoughts in her head won’t be happening- not now and certainly not in this life. Not a chance.
“What of you Viviana? Anything exciting?”
This woman sure as hell likes gossip but I can’t say I’m mad at her because through her I have been able to find out what Rosalia thinks of Enzo. Well I already knew when she was smiling and blushing at the sugary words he must have been spewing. Dickhead.
But her words right now just confirmed it. “Nothing much Ma’am Greta. Just the usual and oh- how dare I forget. My boss has a new bodyguard-,”
“Oh is he hot?” The woman chimes in. I almost choose to close my ears. I don’t think I want to hear them discuss my boss. Although boss has a synthetic morphing mask on his face that makes him look like someone else entirely, but I listen all the same. “Yes he is. I mean bulging muscles and all. But there’s just something creepy about him. He stares at me for way too long. If I am passing him by I am bound to become so conscious of myself, my movements, all I am carrying because I know he is most definitely looking at me. The worse part is that I have to share my office space with him because my boss is now very paranoid and wants him close in case of any attack. I just want to tear my hair out.” She complains exasperatedly.
Rosalia comments, “This is serious and sure as hell not good. On one hand maybe he is attracted to you and because he knows your involvement with Jacob-”
“There is no involvement!” Viviana interjects sharply. “Alright and if you say so-”
Viviana sighs and places a hand under her jaw. “He has simply chosen to feed his eyes with the sight of you. You are a beautiful girl my friend. You shouldn’t be so surprised if some persons choose to take up a job that involves staring at you. And with no pay in fact.”
Viviana doesn’t still seem impressed by Rosalia’s words which are close to the truth. “Or maybe you can just confront him and know why he does so. He might even have an eye condition that makes him act that way.” The woman who has abandoned her other customers and is now immersed in the lives of these girls as I am says.
“Yes. Maybe I will do just that, but I am telling you he is such a big creep.” Viviana still adds. Perfect! I will be sure to pass on the message to my boss. Tell him how big a creep he is. This should be fun.
The woman finally goes back to attending to her other customers and after a while Viviana and Rosalia leave the place. I breath the crisp air of the outside world some minutes after I leave after them. But not before paying for my drink and leaving a most generous tip- one that should most likely be enough to fix the damn leaking roof.
Again I follow them, staying off their radar but being close by regardless. When they get to their home and head inside, is send a message to my boss to tell him Viviana just arrived himself safely. I also don’t forget to add that she thinks he is a creep. He immediately asks why she thinks so and as someone who likes to torture others, I send him a detailed interpretation of everything she hinted at and everything he was most likely doing.
I wished I could see his face when the message showed that he was reading it. I look up from my phone to their window and I  see someone taking off their shirt. It’s Rosalia because I recognize the shape of the bangles she wears on her both wrists. The white curtains are down but it isn’t thick enough to protect me from not making out her silhouettte. I breathe through my nose and mouth at once.
If I’m reacting to her silhouette in this manner, how much more-
No, I cannot torture myself with that thought just yet. I then watch as the silhouette moves to the lamp still illuminating the room and turns it off. That was bad, but I never admitted to be good.
After some time when the air remained still, I find myself rolling away from their vicinty and into mine. Again and maybe not for the last time, but I ask myself - How long can you keep up with this? This is definitely the hardest job I have had to do.
