It's now a month ever since we left Liam's house and what baffles me till now is that he hasn't or didn't take any initiative to reach out and explain himself or apologise to me for everything especially the lies he fed me in the past.
I bought an apartment where we shifted with my daughter and Alma because I didn't want to stay long at my mom's even though she felt bad when we left.
She doesn't mind having us at her place but I personally find it like invading someone's privacy and we also needed our own space.
We left her house after one week and that's when I resumed work at the office…at first I was hesitant to go back to office because i thought Liam would be coming over trying to talk to me but after spending a week without hearing from him,I gained courage to get back to work though I have plans of starting my own company so that I be free from him permanently.
My girl has been asking about her dad and I told her that he travelled for work but I don't know for how long I will hold up with that lie because she even asked me why we had to move in the new apartment…I just told her that I wanted a new space with no memories so that I don't miss her dad when he's away and I don't know if it made any sense but she didn't ask again.
It was another morning when I was getting ready for work after Alma stepped out of the house to take Halsey to school when I heard a doorbell and I ran to the door thinking that maybe they forgot something behind but to my surprise it was Herman standing behind the door.
Yes,you might be wondering why he's here? Well,a couple of weeks back,he has been there for me and leave alone his ways of throwing himself on me all the time like before,he has been there whenever I needed him and I always wanted someone to talk to so he has been that person and for once,I felt safe having him around.
“Hey come in,” I left the door open for him and I stepped back.
“Are you running late?” He asked.
“You got that right,I overslept today and making Halsey for school takes forever so here I am running around like a mad person,” I replied.
“Hmm I see,so I brought you some breakfast and that means saving some time on the road that you might have used to make a stop and buy one,” he lifted the bag he was holding in his hand.
“Oh that's so thoughtful of you so thank you very much…now let me go and get done with my make up real quick,” I ran back to my bedroom and did some light makeup.
I got my light blue satin dress with strapes and tried it on,I looked at myself in the mirror and it did perfectly well like I expected it to.
I got my black heels and black bag then I walked out of the room to go meet Herman whom I left in the living room.
“Hey,i think I'm good to go…how am I looking?” I made a twirl.
“Damn! You absolutely look stunning…you know how to dress that curvy body pretty well,” he looked at me from head to toe and I started feeling shy.
“Okay let's go please,” I tried to change the atmosphere in the room.
He walked towards me and made sure there's no gap left between us, not even enough for a fly to pass, then wrapped his one hand around my waist and now my bust was in contact with his chest.
“You're really a very beautiful woman Ava,I adore you so much,” he whispered in my left ear and I must say that I got goosebumps.
He went ahead and placed his hand around one of my butt cheeks and squeezed it a bit.
He blew air from my shoulder then to my collarbone and around my neck.
I started breathing heavily then he brought his face in front of mine and passed his index finger round my jaw while looking deep in my eyes…I bit my lower lip and before I knew it,he pressed his lips on mine and he passionately sucked my lower lip till I ran out of breath.
He had started penetrating his tongue inside my mouth when my bag suddenly left my grip and dropped to the floor then we broke the kiss.
“We should get going,” he helped me pick up my bag from the ground then I took the bag from the table with my breakfast he brought me and we left the apartment.
“I'm dropping you off so please don't say no this time round,” he held my hand.
“Okay okay,drop me off,” I agreed.
I stepped in and he drove off…luckily we didn't get caught up by traffic and in just forty minutes,we were at my work place.
“Thanks for the ride,” I thanked him as I reached out for my bag in the back seat.
“You know what that means?” He asked
“Nope,” I replied casually.
“It means,it will be me to take you back home because I can't allow you to take a taxi so please text me when you're about to get done,” he said.
“Alright then…oh by the way before I go,my lawyer contacted me that the divorce papers are now ready,” I said while glancing at him.
“And what was your reply?” He asked.
“Uhm I actually told him to first put it on hold and wait for my confirmation,” I replied.
“Oh okay then…I will go with whatever decision you make,” he scratched the back of his head.
“Okay then,see you later in the evening,” I closed in and gave him a kiss on the lips and I felt him smiling in between.
“Okay have a good day,” he wished me. Then I stepped out of the car and walked inside the company building.
I met Herman's kid brother Alvin at the receptionist and he walked towards me with a smile then he whispered.
“Hey,are you and my brother back together?”
“Stop being noisy and get to work already,” I said sarcastically and walked away.
I moved to my office and first had my breakfast that Herman brought…it was some natural juice which I believe he blended from home and a sandwich which was so yummy.
