Chapter 122 Alaric, you haven't left yet?
Robert had been watching from the sidelines. Seeing everyone around him acting this way, he decided to be professional and remind Alaric anyway.
Just as he was about to step forward, Alaric had already turned and left.
Robert saw this and followed.
When Alaric wanted to leave, no one dared to stop him.
Bruce was busy talking with Donald. When he noticed Alaric leaving, he raised an eyebrow.
"Mr. Stone, don't worry. I'll treat Evelyn well after we're married. I definitely won't be like Alaric. I'll be your best son-in-law."
Evelyn stood beside Bruce. Hearing his words, she smiled.
So he was betraying his friend for the sake of his own marriage?
Donald heard Bruce's words and nodded slightly.
"As long as you have that intention, that's enough."
Donald knew Evelyn's temper very well.
Bruce would probably be the one getting pushed around.
Now seeing how stable Bruce and Evelyn's relationship was, and that Bruce's whole heart was on Evelyn, the outcome naturally wouldn't be like Cordelia and Alaric's.

After Alaric left, the dance floor became lively again.
Carl looked at Cordelia with a gentle smile on his face.
"Ms. Stone, that dance was interrupted earlier. I wonder if you'd still be willing to finish a dance with me?"

Just then, Amber came over and took Cordelia's hand.

With Alaric leaving first, someone responsible had to stay.
Evelyn couldn't leave for a while.
Cordelia walked out of the venue with Amber. Taylor was arranged by Evelyn to see them off.
At the parking spot by the venue entrance, Alaric sat in the back seat with a cigarette in his hand, smoking.
Robert sat quietly in the driver's seat. Since Alaric hadn't told him to drive or where to go, he didn't dare start the car. He just sat quietly.
He glanced to the side and saw Cordelia holding Amber, standing at the venue entrance waiting for a car, so he reminded Alaric.
"Mr. Hughes, Ms. Stone has come out."
Hearing this, Alaric looked toward the venue entrance.
He immediately put out his cigarette and rolled down the window to wave away the smoke.
Robert also quickly turned on the car's air circulation to clear out the smoke smell, and even sprayed some air freshener.
Once the smell in the car had mostly disappeared, Alaric gave a low command.
"Drive over."
Robert didn't dare delay and immediately started the car. Just as he was about to pull up to the venue entrance, Taylor's car suddenly accelerated and took the spot at the entrance first.
Alaric sat in the back seat with a dark expression.
Taylor got out of the driver's seat with a respectful and polite smile.
"Mr. Hughes, you haven't left yet?"
Alaric's eyes turned cold.
Taylor smiled slightly and walked around the front of the car to open the door for Cordelia.
Cordelia bent down to get in.
The back window was open.
Alaric's car hadn't left either. He just quietly watched Cordelia bend down to get in the car, then adjust Amber, who was already asleep, into a more comfortable position.
Amber had slept next to Cordelia since birth.
So she still had a little habit she hadn't broken. She nuzzled in Cordelia's arms and put her hand on Cordelia's chest, as if she suddenly wanted to nurse.
Cordelia's eyes showed some helplessness as she held the little hand.
The moment she looked to the side, her gaze met Alaric's deep eyes.
Alaric stared, lost in thought.
He had taken in all of Amber's actions just now.
Embarrassment flashed in Cordelia's eyes. She glared at Alaric, then raised the back window.
Taylor had already closed the car door and gotten into the driver's seat.
"Ms. Stone, should we go straight home?"
Cordelia nodded.
"Yes."
Hearing this, Taylor started the car.
From Robert's position, he couldn't see Cordelia, but he noticed that after seeing Cordelia, Alaric's expression had changed somewhat.
Seeing Taylor drive away, he looked up at the rearview mirror.
Alaric was still savoring Cordelia's reproachful look from earlier, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Noticing Robert was watching him, he composed himself and said.
"Follow them."
