Chapter 71 To steal his little wife
“You are right. We can do this," Max agreed. Brad watched the team battle RD Group for hours, but the more he watched, the more his eyes filled with tears as the Silent Chase Cyber team was reduced to nothing.
The office of Silent Chase, Cyber department was tensed up, and not only the software developers but also the system engineers were sweating bullets.
The moment Roger’s identity was exposed, he had in mind to get even for what Roger did to him in school when he tried to force himself on a girl he desired so much.
Not only did Roger win against him then but also won against him now.
Unfortunately, the worst was on its way. "Oh no, not this virus," Max cried as he tried to stop the intrusion, but it was something they weren’t prepared for.
All this while, they were the ones sending the virus to slow down the RD Group, but now they were standing at the receiving end of their own seed.
Brad was pale as Max continued to inform them, "Clop ransomware."
The two bosses were completely oblivious to what that was. "What the heck is that?" Both Brad and Destiny yelled, Max and Ryan grew nervous, as did the remaining hackers and software developers on the team.
"DK-1 used ransomware to encrypt our files and is threatening to leak sensitive data if we don’t pay ten billion."
This was robbery but, in another light, this cyber terrorist was trying to stop them completely or in other words, destroy them totally.
"Where am I supposed to get that kind of money from?" Destiny yelled. The room was as silent as a graveyard. The RD group was worth trillions, and yet Silent Chase could not afford ten billion?
"Brad, it’s your fault. I was doing well with RD Group, but you had to lure me here," Ryan started, regret filling him. Destiny was only thinking about his next form of revenge.
"It’s not as if I don’t have the ten billion, but I’m not going to give that to them. It’s daylight robbery."

“And the leakage?" Brad asked with concern. Destiny smiled. "No one knows about my association with Silent Chase. I wanted to announce it with this new partnership, but since it failed, I'll just let it go and start another company," he smiled, and renewed hope entered the team.
However, he wasn't done. "You wait, Roger, you won't know what hit you when I take everything, including your little wife."
"Wait, Mr. Dawson is married? Since when?" Ryan asked, confusion clouding his mind as Destiny showed him footage from the birthday party.
"This party was strictly by invitation, and my dad happened to make it. Roger is crazy about his little wife, and that's why I'm going to steal her from him without him knowing. All I need are the right tools."
Brad was excited about the plan, but something did not add up. "Wait, if he's married, then why did Tonia leave me?"
"Who the heck is Tonia?" Destiny asked. Brad explained everything. "From what I heard, Roger had been in love with her to the extent that he took a job as her bodyguard in disguise. She never gave him a chance until his identity was announced. She left me for him."
"Can I see a picture?" Destiny asked. Brad fished out one from his phone and showed him, but Destiny shook his head with a half-smile. "I heard this woman faced one of the worst embarrassments at the party. Perhaps Roger got over her but…" He smiled evilly.
"But what?" Brad asked. Destiny felt like he was talking too much. "It's private. I already lost millions, so we are shutting down."
"And when are we supposed to begin working in your new company?" Max asked, his hope rising but Destiny glared at him. "You failed on your first job, and you want me to give you a chance at my new company? No way. You are all fired."
His plan was to find both Terror D2 and Dk-1 to have them work for him, but the team members weren't taking it lightly.
"You fraud. You made us quit our jobs with promises you can't keep. I was doing well with RD Group," Ryan yelled, his eyes red from anger as he remembered Roger’s warning on the phone.
"Then you should go back. No one is stopping you," Destiny yelled back. Max was also furious. "You think it's that easy? Brad, you'll pay for this," he said with regret.
The HR manager had begged him, but he refused to stay. Brad was equally lost but regained himself. “Destiny, we are going public with this. We know your identity,” he threatened, but Destiny smiled.
“Not anymore. I had someone hack into your phones, and there aren’t any cameras here.”
Accepting they had been played and all was lost, Brad sank to the floor. “It can’t be. I lost everything to that Roger.”
Ryan couldn’t accept that he lost. “No, I’ll go back to RD Group.” Picking up his phone, it was blank because everything was wiped, but that number remained on his mind, and punching the digits, it was answered by a hoarse voice.
“Who is this?”
