Chapter 162 - The Oasis - Feddos
Miguel
I was following Roland's truck. I hadn't told Diana that we already had a house. I wanted to surprise her, but it was better to tell her so she could start thinking about how to furnish it. I also needed to convince Roland, that stubborn man, to accept payment for the land. It was a lot of acres, and he had refused to take the money. I'll find a way to pay him.
"Sweetheart."
Her beautiful face looked at me mischievously. Ever since this afternoon, when I made love to her in the guest room at Mrs. Consuelo's house, she hadn't stopped looking at me with mischief. It was different; I wanted to get under her skin so she would feel how important and valuable she was in my life. Although, that mischief was about something else. I'd bet my last name that she was going to get back at me.
"Am I still in trouble?"
"You have no idea. I'm going to leave a hickey where everyone can see it. It was all so beautiful and delicate... Did you have to end it like that? It hurts, you beast!"
"I admit my mistake and I've apologized, though your look tells me you're not very angry. Tomorrow we'll buy something for that bruise."
"It's just that you..."
"Forgive me, I hadn't been able to have you for three days, and that delicacy overwhelmed me. I didn't measure my strength."
"What a way to desire me."
"You have no idea how much I adore that delicious little thing you have." She slapped me. "Ignoring the hickey, you can't deny you liked it."
That sparkle in her eyes gave her away. That little body likes it rough. Damn! I was getting hard again, but what happened this afternoon was... different.
"Changing the subject." She noticed when I adjusted my pants. It was better to change the subject; it would be awkward to get out with a hard-on. "They make a beautiful couple, Mrs. Vero looks radiant."
"Yes, ever since they met, they seem to light up any place they go, and you haven't seen them dance, Diana, they create magic." She smiled.
"The relationship between you all is also very beautiful. I haven't seen the three of you together, but what I saw this afternoon was enough to understand the loyalty in your friendship. Your group of friends, now complete, back to being seven." It was true.
"Well, and to keep bragging, they..."
I pointed to the black truck in front of us. They turned on the signal; I thought the road continued. I guess it was a shortcut.
"They gave us a ranch as a wedding gift." Diana's face said it all; her eyes filled with tears. "Sweetheart, don't cry."
"Miguel, no one has ever given me anything in my life, and in just four months, I've been given so much. I think I'm going to wake up any moment."
"Do you think I'm a dream?"
I wanted to kiss her all over. I swear I'll always shower her with gifts. The car stopped at a structure, everything was dark.
"Love, they want to show us the ranch. The keys are in the glove compartment. Let's go see your house."
"Our house," she confirmed.
"It will be in your name and our children's names. I'll just be a guest." I said, smiling. She rolled her eyes. "Will you take pity on me and give me shelter?"
"Miguel, I'm the one who's the guest..."
"Never in your life! Listen to me well, Diana Ramirez, you will never say that again. Call me a chauvinist, maybe I am. I told her, getting out of the car, and she followed me.
"In my old-fashioned concept of marriage, although I heard the priest say it was in the Bible, the man provides and the woman manages. That's why I'll work my butt off to support you and our children. You're not a freeloader or a guest; you'll be the heart of our home, so you'll need a lot of patience." She was in front of me. I picked her up, and she let out a little scream of excitement. I heard Roland and Veronica laughing. "You know I'm a beast."
"I don't think I deserve so much."
"You deserve everything, Little One." I claimed her mouth.
"We don't have much time, Romeo!" Roland said. "Hand me the keys."
I left my wife at the top of the stairs, Diana handed over the keys, and my friend, smiling, opened the doors and turned on the lights. He hugged his wife's body and kissed her neck.
"Congratulations on your wedding, may this be the foundation for building a strong unit that you both commit to." Diana wrinkled her forehead—he was about to start with his famous phrases. "For me, deciding on marriage was like seeing it as a big company, that's how I feel comfortable, I'm good at building them, and that's what I want with my wife, to build a solid marriage."
"Look at Miguel, aka Onion." We laughed at the elbow nudge from Ms... I needed to get used to Veronica. "The nameless."
When he mentioned the nickname I'm known by in the underground racing scene, my heart skipped a beat; I had to tell my future wife about that part of my life.
"Known as the best racer, for you, adrenaline is a game."
Now Diana would ask what he meant, and talking about our life in this country when we were studying our second degrees and specializations wouldn't be pleasant. Talking about women and more women wasn't a topic to discuss with your future wife. Roland tossed me the ranch keys.
"You were the best back then, now you're even better... Play your best game, run your great race, and only claim the trophy of victory when you have gray hair, just like your wife, with many grandchildren playing on the terrace of this ranch, your Oasis, as you called it."
"You had to come out with your phrases, you jerk."
"I got beaten up, I had to get even."
We all laughed, thanks to the ointments Mrs. Consuelo applied, we didn't wake up bruised. That was the ointment I needed to buy for Diana.
"Explore your ranch, don't take long, you can break it in another time, just literally look at it now."
I burst out laughing, Diana turned red, and Veronica smacked her husband again.
"We won't take long, we need to talk to Rat."
I took my wife's hand, and we went to explore the immense house that would be our home.
"It's beautiful, it has..."
We had seen the seven bedrooms, and now we were in what would be ours; it was huge.
"What does it have?"
I knew what she would say; the construction was very modern without losing the essence of a ranch. I looked at the bathroom, always liked... I walked and reached the bathroom, I laughed, there was a jacuzzi.
"You think of everything."
"That's a lot of luxury for a ranch."
"It's been personalized, imagine what I'll do to you there."
"Is that all you think about? We have a game room, seven bedrooms, the master one looks more like a hotel room, and the kitchen... God, that kitchen is marvelous, designed for a chef." I looked at her. "He nailed it, I love cooking." I smiled.
"Tomorrow we'll come back, love, and give our love to these walls. Now we have to go, Rat's operation will start soon." The kitchen topic, I sensed where it was going. "I love you, Little One."
I lifted her up, wanting to kiss her, her lips were delicious, she responded, allowing me to go deeper and play with her tongue.
"Lovebirds! We have to go, tomorrow you can leave your sweat in every corner, Simon sent me a message!"
I reluctantly pulled away from my wife's lips; her eyes were filled with desire.
"I wish I could make love to you right now."
"Tomorrow... although tonight we'll sleep in the cabin." I winked at her. We had to focus on the operation.
