Chapter 51

Zade

“Who the fuck are you and where is my Alexa?” I growled out at her as I moved closer to her and wrapped my hand tightly around her neck.

She started clawing against my neck trying to breathe, I slightly released my grip on her so she could talk.

I was livid and I hoped for her sake she tells the truth because if not I’d have to go against my rule of not hurting women.

“You’re hurting me Zade, I am Alexa why won’t you believe it?” She choked out still trying to make me believe it was Alexa but I was not a fool and wouldn’t not be fooled any longer.

“Don’t you dare lie to me again,” I yelled at her bro being able to control my anger any more. Do I look like I’m stupid?” I growled at the person in front of me and I tightened my hand around her neck once again.

I was tired of talk these back and forth and getting her to surrender on her own. If she was not going to succumb and confess then I had no other choice to do what I had to do.

I released my grip and moved away from her as she started gasping for air furiously trying to catch her breath.

She looked happy or should I say pleased that I had left her, she probably thinks I already took her words as she said and believed her but jokes on her because that is not the case.

“Change into your real form,” I commanders using my alpha voice. No living wild or creature would hear the alpha voice and then disobey, they must always do as they are told to.

Like clockwork I saw her eyes glimmer and in seconds she changed into her real form.

Brianna?

What the fuck is going on?

Immediately she changed into her real form, she fell on the floor looking weak and helpless.

“Brianna? What’s all these?” I questioned her shock and anger evident in my voice.

Why would Brianna of all people do this? She was my best friend and right hand so I was totally clueless to her motive for all these.

“Why?” She questioned again as she got up probably regaining her strength. “You are seriously asking me why Zade?” She asked again and I just stare at her dumbfounded.

“I have loved you all these years, I have been by your side and always supporting you, did you think I was doing all of the work and support because I wanted to be just a friend?” She spat out maliciously and I still couldn’t get out of my state of shock or wrap my head around all of this.

“I don’t understand where all this is coming from,” I say to her and she rolled her eyes at me, my anger had already subsided and I was just star struck and I waited for her to speak.

“Of course you wouldn’t, you’re so oblivious. All these years you have been bringing different women claiming they were your mate, did you wonder how they all disappeared?” She asked me her voice distant and malicious as she let out a wicked laugh.

“I was the one who got rid of all of them, they are all liars and I’m the one for you. I had succeeded in preventing you from finding your so called ‘mate’ but that bitch Alex just had to ruin everything,” she said, her voice still having a hint of malice in and I noticed that as she mentioned Alexa’s name her face contorted into hate and anger.

“It was all finally going well but she just had to show up and I didn’t have any other choice than to get rid of her and pretend to be her so I can be with you,” she said her voice mellow and convincing.

Was she really serious? Had I been so oblivious to all these?

“Can’t you see? We are meant to be together me for you and you for me. No one else but the both of us,” she said in a low tone trying to convince me as she walked closer to me.

I moved away from her and her eyes flashed with hurt.

“Don’t you dare come close to me or touch me,” I yelled at her, my anger back and worse than before. “You dare to tell me all these horrible things you have done and you still expect me to accept and love you?” I asked her incredulously, my voice mixed with anger and pain.

I was pained because I would never have expected this from her. I raised Brianna all these years and trusted her, I was angry because I had finally found the one for me after all these decades and she tried to ruin everything for me.

“We can move past that Zade,” she urged una sweet tone that did nothing but repel me. “Love is about forgiveness and second chances, we can still be together no matter what,” she continued saying and I could not believe it was Brianna saying all of these to me.

How dare she?

“Shut the fuck up,” I growled at the same she seemed taken aback at my outburst. Her audacity to think I would accept her and just let go of my love, my Alexa. “Where is Alexa?” I asked her calmly.

She burst out into laughter as she looked me dead in the eyes and spoke up.

“She is probably dead by now,” she replied me with a smirk on her face and I wanted to do nothing more than to bang her head into the wall.

“What do you mean?” I asked her trying to make sense of what she had just said.

“You heard me right, she’s probably dead and six feet under by now,” she repeated with a big smile on her face. “There is no need to stress yourself. Since she is gone, you have me ask we can be together forever,” she added with enthusiasm written all over her face and her voice joyful.

“What did you do to her?” I asked because all these was not making sense to me. She couldn’t have killed Alexa without someone seeing her in the act, it was all confusing to me.

“Wellll,” she started, dragging out her words. “I don’t do much, I just poisoned her and had my minions get rid of her body,” she added and everything in me boiled with anger.

I could not take it anymore, I was trying to be civil and consider the fact that it was Brianna but I see that she is not who I think she is.

She is pure evil and would do anything to hurt people. She only wanted to do things that benefits her no matter who gets hurt in the process. I did not know who this person in front of me was at all and I regretted trusting her and letting her close to me.

In one swift move, I moved to her and my hand wrapped around her neck.

She didn’t see it coming, the smile on her face quickly vanished as she realized I had her in a chokehold. She started clawing at my hand again to let her go but I was not going to do that until she tells me where Alexa is.

My grip on her tightened and I could see her become breathless each passing moment

“Where is Alexa?” I questioned her but she was not budging, I tightened my grip again as I lifted her off the group and her eyes widened like they were going to fall out of their socket.

“I am asking you for the last time, where is Alexa?” I growled out angrily and the fact that she could not breathe did the trick.

“She.. is… at.. a.. corner.. at.. the.. back.. of.. the.. garden..,” she spluttered out one after the other as she tried to breathe.

‘At the back of the garden? But no one ever goes there so why there?’ I asked myself and it eventually clicked.

Of course she would use there for her evil works because no one ever made the effort to go to that side of the palace.

“Please let me go,” she choked out breaking me out of my thought and I slightly release my grip on her.

I contemplated what to do to her as I looked at her, was not going to let her go without punishing her.

What she did was an offense punishable by death but I could not kill her because I practically raised her and I don’t want her blood on my hands.

I decided to knock her out and keep her in the dungeon until I was back from getting Alexa then I would decide what I was going to do with her.

I kept on strangling her, hard enough to knock her out but not hard enough to kill her.

“Zade please stop,” she begged water coming out from her eyes but I was not going to show her any mercy, she didn’t deserve any of that.

She finally slopped out of consciousness and her body became limp against me and I dropped her to the floor.

“Guards!” I shouted and immediately they came into the room, “take her to the dungeon and keep her there until I say otherwise,” I instructed them pointing at Brianna’s unconscious body on the floor.

They look surprised but didn’t say anything as they moved to her and did just as I had said.

I followed them out of the room and headed to the garden.
